Dragon's Encounter

by The Infinity Doctor

Blotworx can be a hassle Part 1

‘Silly mouse, silly rabbit’ Elliot thought to himself, watching the little orange gremlin go about his work. He flew from panel to panel, checking the wires and running safety checks on all the equipment in the lab.

“I swear, you’re lucky they only did this much damage to you…” Prescott muttered, tightening a bolt on Elliot’s jaw. “...then again, I don’t know what the Mad Doctor was thinking…”

The dragon grumbled to himself as the gremlin teleported to another part of the lab, going here and there; doing this and that.

He quickly grew bored, however, as the gremlin went about his business. See, being virtually locked in the Mad Doctor’s lab didn’t give him very much to do- 1% of his duties were to keep intruders out, and since there were hardly any of those, he was insanely bored 99% of the time. Until the mouse and rabbit came along, they had the nerve to break into the lab- granted he didn’t know what exactly it was they wanted, his programming had kicked in- deeming the pair as a threat.

Long story short, they had beaten him- but somewhere in his mind, he knew they were in the right; despite having his tail handed to him.

A nearby console sparked, his glowing eyes caught the source- and reached up from his place in the lava pit to warn Prescott.

Prescott checked the dials on his handheld, scanning for a wire out of place when he felt an enormous metal claw pull him into its grasp. He felt himself get yanked down to the lower floors of the lab, and came face-to-face with two large, green, glowing orbs.

“What is it this time?” Prescott huffed “-and I told you to never do that again!”

The blotworx dragon immediately released him, and pointed to a sparking console

“I know it’s broken! I’ll get around to it!” he shouted

The dragon only cocked its large head

“I need to go get a few parts from the Floatyard, I’ll be back in a few minutes” Prescott said, flying to the projector screen “Don’t touch anything, this place is damaged enough as it is”

With that, the gremlin left.

Prescott flew out of the projector, carrying the necessary parts in the pocket of his jumpsuit

He took notice of the lab, and dropped to the ground

The whole place was an absolute wreck, pebbles and large chunks of rock littered the floor, along with still-active wires, jumping as sparks flew from them- buckets of paint were knocked over and spilling their contents.

And Elliot was missing

“Oh, thin me out- what has that stupid dragon gotten up to this time?”

Sssssss

Fluttershy sat up in her bed upon hearing the loud noises coming from outside her window.

‘Oh my, I wonder what that could be?' she wondered, walking to her windowsill

She peered out and saw nothing but the canopy of the Everfree.

‘It must have just been my imagination...’ she shrugged, closing the window.

Deeper into the forest, two large, green orbs stared out at the cottage

Elliot watched as the horse-toon closed the window

‘I wonder if that detective on Mean Street knows her...’ he thought, gazing at his surroundings.

The thick foliage of the forest was a dead giveaway that he wasn’t anywhere near the Mad Doctor’s lab, maybe somewhere near Fort Wasteland?

He laid down in a medium-sized clearing and dozed off for the night

(the next day)

Fluttershy hummed to herself as she trotted out of her home, checking on all of her animals, Angel closely following her.

“Fluttershy!”

She squeaked as she turned and saw Twilight and Spike approach

“Oh, hello Twilight”

“Hello Fluttershy” the purple mare greeted “Sorry I can’t stop to talk now”
“Where are you going?”
"Roseluck and Carrot Top said they saw this weird glow coming from the Everfree Forest" Spike said "Maybe it's aliens"
"Spike- how many times have I told you? There's no such things as aliens" Twilight said "honestly I think you're listening to Lyra too much..."
"Goodness, I hope it isn't Timberwolves" Fluttershy said
"No, they said they were either too large or too small to be Timberwolves"
"Oh, then I'll just-"
"I've got it!" Twilight exclaimed "You can come with us, Fluttershy- if what we find out there is an animal..."
"Out- out there?"
"What if it's an animal, and they need medical attention?"
"Well...then I suppose...I could..."
"Great! We'll wait for you, but I want to get moving as soon as possible"
"Okay, I'll be right back..."

Elliot watched as the wooden-wolf toons circled him, getting just close enough to try and take a bite out of his armor.

His head reared back and unleashed his thinner-breath upon them, he looked down- and saw the wolves still circling him

'Beetleworx? No problem, then'

He raised on of his claws and curled it into a fist, the ground shook as his claw rattled against it and the remaining pieces of the wolf.

The dragon looked around and saw there were still two other wolves, he repeated his actions and crushed the two into firewood.
'That was odd...I wonder wh-'

His face changed to a look of surprise as the wolves pulled themselves back together, all of the pieces forming into a larger, meaner-looking wolf.

His buzzsaw on the end of his tail spun into action, he spun in place and swung his tail at the wolf. It dodged the first few times, but didn't have time to move as the saw slammed into it after the fifth swing. The saw dug into its hide, spraying sawdust everywhere as it cut through its mid-section. The monster-wolf let out a pained howl as it fell to the ground.

The dragon's tail stopped rotating as he glanced at the body of the wolf.

"Oh my goodness!"
"Fluttershy, wait!"

Elliot only saw a blur of pink and yellow as the horse toon from the night before inspected the body of the wolf.

He was immediately filled with guilt and dread as the toon stared up at him with the largest, condesceding eyes he'd ever seen.

"You'd better have a darn good reason for this, mister!"
