It's strange how easily some places can just be forgotten about. Take for example, the large warehouse park in old Canterlot that had been scheduled for demolition, but still stood because the company contracted for the job was bought out by a firm that, due to unfortunate circumstances, failed to complete the job despite having already been paid for it. The city forgot about it because of the money it had cost it, and the people forget about it because it was a relic of a dead chapter in the cities history.

However, not everyone had such short memories, and the people who did remember this place used it as have a haven to conduct all number of Illegal activities, and one of those actives was street racing, an activity that Rainbow Dash is very eager to partake in. She looked around the empty and sparsely lit parking lot of the warehouse through the front window of her Mitsubishi Lancer GTS, a look of concern spread across her face.

Rainbow Dash had been invited to join the Canterlot Underground Street racing Circuit a few weeks ago, she knew the offer was legitimate as it had come from someone she knew and trusted. At first it had seemed like a dream come true, but after learning more about the rules, and the people in charge, her fantasy had been replaced with a rather grim-dark reality.

“This is so, cool!” Scootaloo said from the passenger seat.

Rainbow Dash sighed. “Scootaloo, when I agreed to take you along, you said you wouldn't freak out at every little thing,” Rainbow Dash looked around a little bit more before turning to face the younger girl. “Also, what's so exciting about an empty parking lot anyway?”

Scootaloo shrugged and replied. “It's mysterious,” She suddenly got a huge grin on her face. “In fact, I bet the other racers are watching us right now, trying to figure out weather were friend or foe.”

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes and sighed as she slumped back into her seat. She wasn't annoyed at Scootaloo for acting stupid, she was annoyed at how right she was. Rainbow Dash put her car back into drive, pulled into the third parking lot, then flashed her headlights in the pattern Chrysalis had told her.

Immediately after she did that, the warehouses garage door pulled up, and a wave of music blared through, accompanied by a bright light. The two girls shielded their eyes for a moment before looking back up and seeing two men waving at them to pull inside. Rainbow Dash complied and slowly started forward.

She looked over at Scootaloo, and after seeing her astonished expression said. “They don't start watching you till after you give the signal.”

The warehouse was filled with racers. A little over 2 dozens cars lined up along the side walls and in between the shelves. The two guys from the entrance directed Rainbow Dash towards a spot near the back, on the way there she passed several racers and got an idea of her competition. After parking, someone knocked on her window and motioned for her to roll it down.

“Information.” Rainbow Dash pulled out an envelope that contained the papers Chrysalis said she needed, and passed it to the man. “How old's the kid?” He asked as he read through the documents.

“She's fifteen.” Rainbow Dash replied.

The man finished looking through RBD's documents, then passed the envelope back to her.
“Kids your responsibility, anything happens to her, we don't care. Any questions?”

“Where's Chrysalis?”

The man pointed to the center of the warehouse where the majority of people were gathered. “Over there, but don't expect the boss to talk to you face to face, she's kind of busy right now.”

“I know.”

Rainbow Dash got out of the car, Scootaloo tried to get out too but Rainbow Dash locked the door before she had a chance. She tried unlocking it again but the door wouldn’t budge.

“Uh, Rainbow Dash?” Scootaloo asked.

“Childproof locks, sorry kid, but I gotta make sure your safe.”

“What, Oh come on Dash please, I've been dying to see cars, you can't just..”

“What, I'm sorry I can't hear you, the music's too loud!”

Rainbow Dash walked off with a smile on her face, leaving Scootaloo to pout in the car.

Chrysalis the changeling, that's what every young racer called the cities master mechanic who also ran the local racing circuit. Chrysalis was standing on top of her SUV, she wore a leather jacket with an aqua blue athletic shirt underneath, and pain of black jeans with military boots. Rainbow Dash made her way to the front of the crowd so that Chrysalis would notice her before before she started speaking.

“Ladies & Gentlemen, welcome back for another night of racing, and gambling!” The crowd started a small cheer upon hearing that, but they quickly quieted down. “This week, we have a new racer joining us, young, Ms.Rainbow Dash.” Everyone in the room turned to look at RBD, even the music died down a bit. She walked up next to Chrysalis's SUV and stood there as confidently as possible. “So,” Chrysalis continued. “Who here want's to race the newest member of our little club.”

It only took a few moments of discussion before someone from the crowd volunteered.

“I'll take on the newbie!” The crowd parted as a girl with blazing red and yellow hair walked through. “Hello, Dashie.”

“Sunset.” Rainbow Dash's tone was filled with distrust and annoyance, despite the fact that her and Sunset Shimmers relationship had moved from hated enemies to rivals who watch movies together every other Friday, finding the girl here of all places was not something Rainbow Dash had been expecting.

“What's the matter Dashie,” Sunset asked. “Are you mad that I found out about this place before you did.”

Chrysalis interrupted her before she could reply. “That's one racer, we need one more volunteer.”

“I'll do It!”

The crowd parted once more to reveal another face familiar to Rainbow Dash.

“Oh, you gotta be kidding me.”

Standing there, wearing in his favorite jacket and a confident yet apologetic smirk, was Flash Sentry. “Hey Rainbow Dash.”

Chrysalis smiled as Rainbow Dash face-palmed in embarrassment. “We have three racers, I believe that's more than enough for initiation. Racers, to your cars, then to the starting line. Go!”

Sunset Shimmer took off immediately toward her car, Flash on the other hand, stayed right where he was.

“We should talk.”

“Do you know what Twilight would do to you If she knew you were here!” Rainbow Dash said to Flash Sentry as they walked back to Dash's car.

“I could say the same thing about you, what are you doing here Dash?”

“Racing, hoping to earn some money and have fun, same as you I'm guessing.”

Flash Sentry chuckled. “Yeah, yeah, fine, how about we both keep quiet about this to Twilight the others.”

“That's fine with me, but what about Sunset?”

“Don't worry, she won't talk, she may act tough but really she's scared to death of getting caught by anyone she knows, In fact, I think my head nearly exploded from confusion after I saw her just up and challenge you like that.”

They walked the last few feet to Rainbow Dash's car laughing.

“Alright, I need to get to my own ride, see you out there.”

Rainbow Dash unlocked her doors and Scootaloo came rushing out.

“There you are! what's going on?”

“I'm about to race.”

“Oh cool, I'll... Your not gonna let me ride with you are you.”

“Sorry kid, but I can't let anything happen to you.”

“So your just gonna leave me here with a bunch of criminals.”

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. “Just stay here, climb up the shelves if you have to, and If anyone messes with you,” Rainbow Dash pulled a stun gun out her pocket and handed it to her young friend. “use this on them.”

Scootaloo dumbly stared at the weapon for a few moments before slowly taking it and then tucking it into her coat pocket.

“So, remind me again how you know these people?” Scoots asked as Rainbow Dash started her car up.

“It's a long story kid.” The older girl replied.

Rainbow Dash stepped on the gas, launching her car forward and out the warehouse, with Flash Sentry followed soon after, along with a crowd of young adults eager to watch the race.

“Climb up the shelves, 'pfft'.”

Scooaloo hurried after the racers, intent on seeing her friend and mentor trounce them all.
