"Oh my gosh!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she flew through the streets of Ponyville. "I can't believe I forgot a present for Twilight!"

"I can't believe I forgot a present for my dear, Applejack," Rarity cried, sprinting alongside Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow and Rarity, both dedicated to their marefriends, had both teamed up when they heard that both of them had forgotten gifts for there significant other.

On Hearth's Warming Eve, not that many ponies were out. The only ponies that were out and about were the ones buying last minute gifts.

Thankfully, for Rainbow and Rarity, there are few kinds of ponies like that. So, when they reached the Ponyville's outlet mall, there was barely anypony there. They were most likely getting ready to go to bed or taking a stroll.

"Okay!" Rainbow Dash said, looking at all the different stores, "Which one do we go to first?"

"Honestly, I don't know!" Rarity exclaimed. "We should see which stores are open first."

"Oh, shoot! I-I remember Twilight said something about wanting to get a new telescope. But-"

"But what, dear?"

"I-I think the store is closed!" Rainbow said in defeat.

"Shush, Rainbow Dash," Rarity whispered. "Ponies are looking."

"I don't care!"

Rarity sighed. "You said you think the store is closed? Why don't you actually check if it is close or not?"

Dash blushed and said, "Oh, right. I'll go do that."

"Good, and I will go look for that Red Ryder BB Gun, Applejack wanted."

"Cool. Meet me back here, Rare!"

"Good luck!"

A few minutes later

Rainbow Dash and Rarity met up at the same place they were a couple minutes ago.

Dash hovers to Rarity, and looks at her, in defeat,

"Forgot your bits too?"

"Yep."

Rainbow Dash hits the floor, and breaks down crying, "Now, I can't get her that nerdy thing she wanted!"

Rarity also bursts into tears. "I can't get Applejack anything either!"

"I'm so stupid! How could I forget my bits!?"

"I couldn't even afford the stupid gun!"

"She's gonna be so mad at me!"

"Why does she even want a gun!?"

"I mean, she has a nice looking telescope already! Why does she need another one!?"

"I told her she is going to shoot her eye out!"

"Girls?"

Rainbow and Rarity stopped there crying and turned toward the direction of the voice. The alicorn princess and the farmpony were both staring at them, dumbfounded.

"What are you doing out here?" Twilight asked. "It's freezing!"

"Rainbow and I were trying to get you and Applejack last minute presents, because we forgot!" Rarity cried.

"Yeah! And when we got here, we realized we forgot our bits!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"So," Twilight started, "You two forgot gifts for us," she pointed to Applejack, "and you went last minute shopping to get us some?"

Rainbow and Rarity both nodded there heads in unison.

"Heh, might I say that is the most nicest thing anypony has ever done fer me?" Applejack asked as she approached the sniffling Rarity.

"It-It is?" Rarity asked while looking up at Applejack.

Applejack offered her hoof so Rarity could get up. "It sure is."

Twilight offered a hoof to Rainbow Dash. "Oh, you girls. You didn't have to get us anything."

"What? Of course we do!" Rainbow exclaimed. "It's tradition."

"Heh, I think spending time with our marefriends on Hearth's Warming is a lil' more important than silly ol' gifts," Applejack said, "Wouldn' you say Twi'?"

"It sure is," Twilight responded, "Now let's get you girls to the library. There's a warm fireplace, some hot cocoa, and maybe, just maybe, a little bit of snuggling."

"All right!" Rainbow shouted while leaping into the air.

Rainbow landed next to Twilight, extended her wing over her. She leaned into Twilight's ear and whispered, "I love you, Princess Egghead."

Twilight giggled, and kissed Dash on the nose. "I love you too, Featherbrain."

Rarity and Applejack were already leaning on each other.

"You're so cute when you get all panicky like that," Applejack teased.

"Oh hush," Rarity humphed, "Your'e lucky I love you that much to worry so much about your needs."

"Heh," Applejack chuckled, "An' ah'm grateful."
