Slowly as the group began to travel south towards Ponyville Twilight and her friends began to learn a little about their rescuers. About being human and very vaguely about what happened to them. Deciding that they did not know all the details including the Spartan program and the long war with the Covenant. After seeing how they reacted to what they did to the Manticores Carter decided to keep more quiet on the more gory parts.
"I got a question Carter." Twilight asked the lavender unicorn. "Is Six really her name?" She gestured to the injured Pegasus on Jorge's back. Though the Pegasus must weigh a great deal with that armor the spartan barely seem to notice. Carter gave a sigh and his shoulders seemed to sag a bit. "That is the only name we know and are allowed to know. You see Six is the newest member of Noble team. Before that, she was a Lone Wolf. Everything she did before she joined us is classified. If you try to read her file all you would see is black ink. Only she and a very select few know her real name."
Twilight was about to respond when she saw the trees thin and sunlight filtered through the trees. And then as they broke through the trees Ponyville became a very welcome sight. Wait a minute. Last time we saw the sky Luna's moon was in the sky! Twilight thought. Before she could continue this thought she found herself in a golden magical aura and she, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie were pulled away from Noble and suddenly a familiar tall white figure stood in front of her.
YOU SHALL NOT HARM MY LITTLE PONIES!!! Clestia shouted in the royal Canterlot voice. Her mane was not its normal beauty but instead it completely made of fire and her eyes had this reddish hue. The Spartans just stared for a moment at this new figure and finally Emilie spoke what they all thought.
"Well, we're fucked...."
Spike was a happy dragon. He worked for Twilight Sparkle and was her number one assistant, and she was friends with one of the most beautiful unicorns in the world. Yep, life for spike the dragon. Until Twilight one day went into the Everfree and hadn't been seen since. It started when he went to bed last night thinking that Twilight would keep her promise that she would be back before the sun rose the next day. He had woken up the usual time and groggily he went to the kitchen and began to make breakfast for both him and Twilight. When he was finished he noticed that the unicorn hadn't come down yet. Thinking that she had one of those days that she stayed up too late again he went back upstairs to her bed.
She wasn't there. Beginning to panic he went back to the library and checked all over the building. No sign of her. Spreading his search he looked all over the town and no one said they saw Twilight since yesterday. Panicking even more he had even sent a letter to the princess that her student was missing. She had instantly responded that she would be there as soon as possible. Not much longer Spike saw Twilight and the others coming out of the forest. He only felt a hint of relief before he saw that they we're surrounded by monster sized ponies. He was about to scream for help when suddenly he heard a familiar but strange voice.
"YOU SHALL NOT HARM MY LITTLE PONIES!!!" And in the sky he saw a very angry princess of the sun. Spike then looked back at the armored ponies and the one with the scary bloody armor and skull etched on its head had said simply.
"Well, we're fucked..."
Clestia was to say the least, pissed. These creatures dared to harm her student and her friends and dared to come here to town. Well, she was about to show them the wrath of the sun. Calling on her magic and the sun she shot a solar beam at them that could injure a dragon. With a thunderous boom a mini explosion made a small crater. But as the smoke cleared the armored ponies still stood. Their armor looked singed and they looked a little worse for wear. But they looked more or less unharmed. She was about to take another blast when she saw the green and silver armored Pegasus appeared in front of its comrades. It could barely stand on its own and blood dripped from its armored the chest. Clestia soon realized that it was its own blood that was coming from it. It stood in some sort of combat stance. It's head lowered and it's wings flared ready for combat.
"If you want my teammates you will have to kill me. I've heard much about you princess from your student. I know you won't spill pony blood when in your right mind. So if you aren't then go ahead!" Anger started to fade from the sun princess being. Seeing this, this injured pony standing down nothing less than a goddess just to protect her companions, her friends. Then suddenly Twilight Sparkle was there too. And Applejack, then Pinkie Pie, and finally Rainbow dash though she did grumble briefly.
"Princess, please calm down! Six is right! You can't kill them! At the least you should thank them! Noble saved us from a pair of Manticores that were going to eat us." Twilight begged. Slowly Clestia's eyes cooled and her mane returned to its normal pink and green and blue flowing on the solar winds. And her wings gently folded to her side and she returned to her motherly state rather than an angry patriarch.
"I won't my student. I was just worried when spike sent me a letter that you never returned from your excursion into the
Everfree forest. And when I saw you with..." Clestia halted suddenly as the armored Pegasus faltered and nearly fell to the ground. The largest of the armored ponies rushed over and gently helped the Pegasus with one hoof. "...Perhaps we should finish this conversation after we get your armored friends some medical attention. Rainbow Dash could you please lead us to the hospital."
