Chapter 1: Rainbow on Ice
The folks are sitting down, preparing for the first annual Hearth's Warming Eve Sleepover at the House of Pony. Since they are stuck here for the night, everyone may as well make the most of things.
As the Cutie Mark Crusaders are performing for the guests, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and the animals came out with cups of hot chocolate and cookies. Pinkie calls out, "Here you go; Hot cocoa and cookies, on the house!"
"Or inside since it's kinda cold out there." Fluttershy giggles as she and her friends serve the cookies and hot chocolate for everyone, even the villains.
Rarity pushes a makeshift fireplace onto the stage. Maxin took a match and lit the thing up; this fireplace is a best place to be comfortable at so far; Meanwhile, Roclan is complaining, "Great; stuck in here with this creep!"
Lorcan Hyde smiles stupidly as he points out, "Hey, look on the bright side: we have each other." Roclan looks a bit disgusted by that comment.
As Golden Heart, Pinkamena and Gold Wing watch, Pinkamena says, "I like sleep overs. I remember that one time you and me had a sleep over and it was so much fun."
Golden Heart smirks while saying, "Indeed little sister and I recall that you slept on my side."
Pinkamena giggles, "Well it did not hurt you. I mean you are an alicorn right?"
"True but let's just watch on. It is not sleep time yet."
Pinkamena nods as she, Golden Heart and Gold Wing keep watching. Twilight uses her magic to bring back a Hearth's Warming Eve tree, Nyx pushes a box of ornaments over to her mother. They work on setting the tree up; Looks good.
Twilight grins as she saw Pinkie pushing a chair that a very annoyed Rainbow is sitting in over. The purple alicorn exclaims, "All right, looks like this party is starting to warm up now!"
"Hey, good news, Twiley," Ben exclaims as he brings in a box of DVDs. "I found some old Hearth's Warming Eve stories from our past shows, along with some new ones."
"All right! Looks like this is going to be awesome," Nyx exclaims with a smile on her cute little face.
"Yeah, looks like we got some cartoons to watch, everypony!" Twilight exclaims with a smile while looking the cartoons over. Maybe one of these will bring the spirit back to the frowning Rainbow Dash.
"Bah, humbug!" Rainbow scowls while sitting in the chair as she crosses her upper forelegs.
"Humbug? What's a humbug?" Sweetie Drops ask Lyra puzzled.
"Simple, humbug is something you say when somepony doesn't have the Hearth's Warming Eve spirit." Lyra Heartstrings explains to her roommate with a shrug. "And Rainbow Dash doesn't have the spirit that's for sure."
Miko (Prime) in disgust groans, "Bug? Eew! That's so disgusting! Why would a pony like her eat bugs?"
Raf (Prime) corrects Miko, "Em... Miko; Rainbow Dash said 'Humbug' not 'bug', as in not having the best mood to show your Christmas Spirit in Christmas or Hearth's Warming Eve. And also that's considered a bit disrespectful to it."
Jack (Prime) nods as he adds, "Kinda like Ebenezer Scrooge who hates Christmas a lot from 'A Christmas Carol'. And I thought Ratchet is more Scrooge than Megatron or his Decepticons."
Ratchet (Prime) frowns as he protest, "I maybe grumpy Autobot, but I am not like any Decepticon. By the way children, I do not hate Christmas, just troubling fitting in Human culture. That's all."
Smokescreen (Prime) chuckled, "Yeah, like you couldn't admit that you and Ironhide (Prime/WFC) are the most uptight and grumpiest bots in Cybertron when something went wrong."
Bumblebee (Prime) nodded his head while beeping the sound as if laughing. Bulkhead (Prime) smirk, while asking, "You mean like this?"
Bulkhead smashed Ratchet's Energon Medic Kit. The Autobot exclaims angrily, "Bulkhead! I needed that! Do you have any idea how much it cost that kit? I doubt that Christmas can replace that! It is not FUNNY!"
All Autobots and Humans (from Prime) laughed at Ratchet's usual habit.
Miko unimpressed and upset at Rainbow's attitude ask, "Seriously? That is so uncool."
"Well, Rainbow Dash, you may say humbdug now, but I betcha once you watch this cartoon from the time that Brian had Santa Hooves's list..." Twilight begins to say to Rainbow onstage.
"Sorry about that!" Brian calls out to Twilight sheepishly, apologizing for that incident.
"...you will get the spirit of the season. And trust me, this one is about you, Rainbow my good friend!"
Rainbow scowls in annoyance, "Yeah, like that change my mind." The audience applauds as Applejack starts the first cartoon of this sleepover.

It is a nice and snowy day in Ponyville. The Cutie Mark Crusaders are looking a banner that advertises a contest that is happening. Apple Bloom exclaims eagerly, "All right, Cutie Mark Crusaders; 'De Snowpony Contest has done arrived."
"Right, today," Sweetie exclaims eagerly. "This is going to be fun!"
"We are so going to win this year." Scootaloo exclaims eagerly as the CMC heads off quickly. They are excited; the trio of fillies is going to make the best snowpony for the contest this year.
"Yeah; we could be...Cutie Mark Crusader Snowpony Makers!"
"YEAH! CUTIE MARK CRUSADER SNOWPONY MAKERS," The CMC cheers on wildly as they begin work on their snowpony.
Apple Bloom chew up some bubble gum and blowing a bubble before rolling the thing down a hill, making it big enough for the bottom part. Sweetie works on making a little cannon so that she can fire a medium sized snowball right onto the big one for the middle part. Scootaloo plays basketball with a little snowball and lands it on the medium sized one for the head part.
Scootaloo now uses two slingshots to put two rocks on top of the little snowballs for the eyes. Sweetie eats on a corncob until she got it to the size of a pipe for the snowpony. Next she took a carrot that the filly borrowed from Angel and put it onto the snowpony's head.
The three fillies pull one button each from their own coats and put them onto the snowpony to make a button like short for the medium sized head. Scootaloo soon tied a boomerang on a scarf and threw it so that the said boomerang will circle around the snowpony's head, putting the scarf on in the progress. The boomerang flew into the air and knocks two sticks off of a tree to make arms for the snowpony.
Apple Bloom giggles as she and her friends check their work, "Dang, we done going win fer sure! But we need just one more thing."
Apple Bloom now takes out a top hat, making her friends smile. This will complete their snowpony for sure. Unknown to them, the trio of cutie mark searching fillies are about to run into trouble.
At the same time, at the other side of a lake nearby, Rainbow Dash wear wearing snow gear and carrying a pair of ice skates. The mare needs a day for herself and decides to do so by ice skating.
"Man, looks like my day will be 20% awesome when I go ice skating." Rainbow chuckles while putting on ice skates on her hooves.
Rainbow got onto the ice and begins to skate, though the mare has trouble keeping balancing as she felt down. Rainbow got back up and tries her best to keep balance, only to fall once more. The Pegasus pony kept trying and fails once more. Enough, she screams in frustration, frowning while standing upright...Rainbow then realize that she is standing upright, not slipping.
"Oh yeah," Rainbow exclaims excitedly...only to fall down and got her head stuck in the ice. She got it out and saw a ring of ice around her neck. Ugh, why her?
Rainbow tries her best to get the ice off with her hooves and ice cream, trying not to break her own end. She hops around on her flanks, but landed in the hole where her head was, causing her to fell into the water, with her head sticking out of the ice.
"Horse feathers," Rainbow groans in irritation.

It took a while, but Rainbow got out of the lake, shaking herself off and grabbing clouds, tying both around her own body. The mare begins ice skating once more in hopes to do better. Like before, Rainbow slip, but bounce up and down with the clouds, landing on her bottom hooves to keep her balance.
"All right, there we go, it works!" Rainbow exclaims with a smile of triumph on her face. She is going to skate better this time!
Rainbow laughs but stops upon seeing a line of barrels up ahead. The mare prepares to fly over them as she pulls off the clouds, skating towards them. Rainbow jump/flew over the barrels all in one jump. The mare lands and skate some more, but ends up tripping on a root that is stuck on the ice; Rainbow screams as she slips and spin around like mad.
During that time, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are on each other's shoulders, putting the hat on the snowpony. But the trio heard screaming, turning to see Rainbow heading their way, skating out of control. The CMC scream as they push their snowpony out of the way, sighing in relief. That's a close one.
Of course, too bad that Rainbow ends up turning around and knocking down the snowpony anyway, the fillies got out of the way in time. The Pegasus pony climbs out of the remains, spitting out the carrot before tossing the hat aside. Rainbow has no time for this. She heads back to go back to ice skating, apparently not bothering or caring about what the mare herself has done.
Needless to say, the CMC are very ticked off at what happened. They worked so hard on their snowpony and Rainbow ends up ruining it. To make matters worse, she didn't bother to apologize or offer to help, just going back to what Rainbow herself was doing. Well, accident or no, the mare isn't going to get away with this.
The CMC frowns as they gather around, whispering, preparing for the next revenge on Rainbow.

It was a few moments later as the Cutie Mark Crusaders hid behind a rock, watching Rainbow pass by them. They got to work with Apple Bloom taking out a red marker, Sweetie a nail and Scootaloo a mallet. Time for the revenge to begin!
Apple Bloom put a red X in the middle of the ice before Sweetie put a nail down. Scootaloo slams the mallet into the said nail, causing a crack to appear in the ice. Satisfied and knowing that Rainbow will get what's coming to her, the CMC head back to their snowpony.
For those wondering what the CMC has done, the nail on the ice cause a crack to go after Rainbow...and sure enough, it caught up with her causing the mare to slip. Rainbow frowns as she snaps, "Hey, what gives?!" She saw that what causes her to slip this time was a crack on the ice. "Weird."
Rainbow shrugs it off and goes back to skating...but saw the crack following her. That shouldn't be possible! The mare skates to the left, with her chaser following. The Pegasus pony looks concerned as she ballerina dance onto the ice for a moment and the crack was follow. It was sentient and obviously wants payback on Rainbow for some reason!
"Look! It's the Mag'ne!" Rainbow exclaims while pointing in a nearby direction. The crack, confused, turns causing the mare to galloped off. It didn't like that trick as the crack begins following Rainbow like mad.
Rainbow flew over a rock which got split by the same crack. She now run over some barrels, doing so fast enough to make a fence out of them. The crack somehow open a gate in the fence and close it while following the mare some more. Rainbow soon find herself surrounded by the crack of the ice as it melted all of it, including the ice that Rainbow is on.
Rainbow frantically worked on finding some solid ground until she has one hoof in the ice. The mare flew off until she got to some solid ground with snow. She rubs the said snow off of herself while sighing in relief, "Phew; that was a close one."
Of course, Rainbow spoke too soon. As if in another impossible way except by Pinkie Pie matter, the crack follows Rainbow on ground. She screams while galloping through the snow with the said crack chasing her. The mare makes a canoe from a log using her skates while making her mad escape, the crack cracks the canoe as well.
Rainbow flew up the tallest tree, clinging on. But she yelps as the crack moved up the tree, making her fall off. She screams as the tree was about to fall right on top of her. Luckily for the Pegasus pony, the crack causes the tree itself to split apart and falling between Rainbow.
Rainbow sighs, thinking that the worst is over. Wrong again! She saw the crack getting close causing the mare to rush into a cave as the crack follows her. Of course, neither of them saw a sign nearby that said 'Danger! Abominable Snowpony! Do Not Disturb or Else'.
Rainbow trots as she saw the crack following, making her trot faster in hopes to escape her pursuer. Of course, the Pegasus pony then run into something big and wet...she notices a pair of sinister eyes that grew taller and angrier.
"Uh oh..." Rainbow yelps as she struck a match to see what the mare has ran into: an angry Abominable Snowpony and it doesn't look too happy by the intrusion. "Hey."
Rainbow turn back to see the crack getting close; the snowpony roars furiously, causing the weird pursuer to whine and whimper, rushing off in fear. The monster then blew out the fire of the match that Rainbow is holding. The Pegasus pony screams and run off with the Abominable Snowpony in mad pursuit now.
Rainbow jumps onto the ice and skates with the snowpony following her. The mare open, enter and close the gate on the fence from earlier and gallops off some more. The monster just runs over the fence, causing them to turn into barrels once more. Rainbow now flies into some deep snow, skating past some trees then run into a big oak. She recovers from the hit to the head in time to escape once more.
Now back at the Snowpony Contest, the Cutie Mark Crusaders smile as they look over the new snowpony that they themselves had made. Looks like nothing can destroy it this time. But then the trio of fillies heard Rainbow screaming as she came in and collides with the snowpony again along with the CMC.
The three fillies pop their heads out of the snow, giving angry looks to Rainbow. She ruined their snowpony again! But just then, the four saw a shadow looming over the group, making them all look up. Rainbow, Apple Bloom, Sweetie and Scootaloo screams in terror as the Abominable Snowpony appears to close in all three of them. Looks like this is it!
"And we got a winner!" An announcer is heard. The five looks confused, wondering what's that all about. The announcer goes over to the monster while continuing, "Gotta say, I have never seen a real live Snowpony up close, you are definitely worthy of this prize!"
The Snowpony gasps in amazement as he was given a pair of ice skates. This is incredible! The monster has never won anything before, it felt great! The Abominable Snowpony smiles as he got his picture taken.

A while later, the Abominable Snowpony was skating around happy. Rainbow of course isn't so happy. The Cutie Mark Crusaders advance on her with a barrage of snowballs;, all of them are upset at her for ruining their chances at winning the contest again.
"Come on, girls, you gotta admit, you wouldn't share those ice skates anyway." Rainbow said nervously to the three fillies. "Plus I didn't mean to!"
"FIRE," The Cutie Mark Crusaders scream while firing snowballs at Rainbow who skates away angrily. Mean to or no, the mare got into a lot of trouble today.

Once the cartoon is over, the audience applaud for the good one. Pinkie smiles to Rainbow onstage while asking, "How was it, Dashie? Did it help with your Hearth's Warming Eve spirit?"
Rainbow frowns as he snaps, "Pinkie, does showing a cartoon that shows somepony being chased a huge Abominable Snowpony then getting attacked by your fan and her friends with snowballs all because of a big mistake even count as lifting Hearth's Warming Eve spirits?"
"Err, no?"
"The cartoon's director asked me to make a complete moron out of myself. Seriously, it seems everypony likes making me the butt of jokes." Rainbow groaned after the cartoon ended. She settle back into her chair while scowling, "Bah humbug!"
"Hmm, I guess showing a cartoon of Rainbow getting tormented like that wasn't a good idea, huh?" Nyx ask, feeling a bit guilty for showing that cartoon.
"Still, some of the bad guys like Starscream got a kick out of it." Phobos remarked, pointing out how Starscream is laughing at what happened to Rainbow in the cartoon.
"Looks like we better come up with another idea," Ben said in concern. Twilight nods as she and her friends begin thinking up a new idea to cheer Rainbow up.
