"Hold still I have to make sure my readings are correct Ensis." Twilight complains as I try making the strange helmet fit properly
"But this thing is to strange and it feels weird just believe me when I say I have no magic I'm just a normal human." I shout at her fed up with being a test subject.
"That's the thing we don't know what a normal human is like so just deal with it."
"At least let me make it comfortable so it doesn't bother me as much."
"Fine go ahead and-" she is cut off by a loud growl coming from my stomach
I look away and rub my stomach "I'm hungry."
Twilight lets out a loud sigh, "What would you like to eat Ensis?"
"Do you have steak?"
"What's steak?"
"That's right your ponies you don't eat meat, right?"
"Yep though gryphons do but is there anything else?"
"Well what about..." I start thinking about how most foods I eat usually have some form of meat in it, thanks to how Texan meals usually are.	"What about waffles and syrup?"
"Sure, Spike make some waffles.”
"Why me?" I hear Spike ask as he heads to the kitchen
"Because I asked nicely" Twilight replies
"Poor boy, must suck to be a dragon that has to listen to a pony." I think to myself before I find Twilight looking at me."So Twilight... Only gryphons eat meat?" I say to her to break the awkward silence
"Yea they are to the western country, though we don't always get along much." Twilight replies "Wait why don't you try hay?"
"Nope, hay is for horses, and a steak will always beat some hay no matter what."
"Then you'll need to visit the gryphon kingdom for that." I was about to ask how far the kingdom is but I am interrupted by the smell of food getting a growl from my stomach.”Dear lord that smells good!" I stare at the food that is put in front of me and begin to eat it rapidly.
"Hey calm down you act like you haven't eaten for years."
I stop eating and look at her, "Sorry but that pun was just bad Twilight." I then resume stuffing my face with food.
"I thought it was good,” she then pouts "Well you got to eat your food now time for the test" she is then cut off by a loud pink pony.
"Hey I'm Pinkie Pie I know everypony in Ponyville but then I found out from Fluttershy that you came into town so I came to gist you but then I had to find you so I looked all over town but then I figured out that you must have come here." The pink pony says in one breath
"Ok, just one question. How did you say all that in one breath?" I reply confused by her long sentence.
"Well it's easy all you got to do is take a super big breath and say the words but people say its gypsy magic since I can do it so easily." She replies getting off track.
"Twilight is she always like this?"
"No only when she meets someone new she is gonna throw you a welcome party." Twilight says as I notice Pinkie Pie is no longer here.
I sigh and then make my way to the testing chair, "So now I'm gonna have a party thrown for me." As I take my seat I see Twilight place the strange helmet upon my head and turn it on giving me a slight tingling feeling going down my back.
"Ok so you have the level of magic equal to an earth pony, and don't look lake you'll make trouble so you seem fine to let free."
"Good but I have one question."
"What is it?"
"Where am I gonna stay?"
"I think Pinkie said she would help you find out how to get by."
"Alright then well I'll get going" I then make my way outside to remember that I have no idea where to go. "Fuck, where to now?" I then take an aimless stroll. As I make my way to the outskirts of the city I see Fluttershys house and decide to stop by.
By the time I make it to her door Fluttershy comes out to greet me, "Umm... Hi, if you don't mind Ensis you can stay at my house for tonight."
I smile, knowing almost nobody will let me stay the night, "Ok, thanks." I get up and take both my shovel and my walking stick with me to Fluttershys house.
"It's ok kindness is my element," she says happily as she opens her front door, "enjoy the party."
"What do you mean party?" As I finish my sentence I hear the sound of streamers and balloons popping.
"Surprise! I thought you should have a welcome party so you can get to know everypony in town." She then shakes my hand with a joy buzzer, and then shocks herself while laughing. 
As I recover from the shock I see a large gathering of ponies all in Fluttershys house all which are staring at me. I sigh, "If anyone has a question feel free to ask now, after that I'm getting wasted."
I hear cheering and see the teal pony from before run up to me, "What was your culture like, how long does your kind live to be, how many of your kind used to roam Equestria, does your kind have any magic?"
"Well where I came from family had been very close with each other and enjoyed the little things in life but no everyone was the same way some were greedy, we normally lived to be around 80 years old on average, we use to be everywhere even in space, and some of us had magic but I think the technology was lost to give us magic but we used science and it did so many things for our kind. Though we had so much technology we fought which lead to our eventual world wars then we retreated underground though some of us stayed above ground in remote areas of the world." I then look around for anyone else.
"Excuse me but I'm with the new here so, what do you plan on doing now since your kind is thought to be extinct?"
I stared long and hard at the pony, "My original mission,  survive and defend what my kind stood for freedom to choice your own path without being considered wrong, and freedom to find your own happiness in this world."
"So you plan on creating your own country?” The pony asks.
"If that's what it takes to finish the mission and survive then yes." I reply to the pony
