Return of the Traitor

"Ok. Confused dragon here. Lemme process this. Celestia, you aren't trying to absolutely strangle me right now."
"Correct. It may not be known to you, but two years have passed since you left here. In this time, I was able to obtain guidance from both the Doctor and the other humans, especially from one who's name I believe is Nicole. It would seem that human knows as much, if not more, about me than I do. Through her counsel, I have been able to calm myself from my previous anger. However, should you fail to complete your task, I will not hesitate to have you killed. You have not only offended me, but you have destroyed one of Equestria's strongest defenses. The Elements of Harmony were our greatest tools in fending off evil. Discord has been good enough to fight of any threats we might have had, but he would not have had to do so if you had controlled yourself. You will fix this. I will make sure of that."
"I normally would argue that, but it can wait till later. Right now, I still wanna get right in my head. Luna, you just referred to yourself in the first person."
"Indeed. I believe we can all change in these progressive times. That phase of my life is over. I think I can speak how I wish, so I will do so."
"Ok. One last thing still has me confused. Doctor, how did you know we would come to this exact spot?"
"Well, if you remember correctly, I told you that I have seen these events unfold. I saw them from afar, but I saw them all the same. In fact, you told them to me. In the future, we meet for the first time, or at least in my memory we do, and that's when you told me everything. Why do you think I went along with your rebellion in the first place?"
"Wait. You know how everything is going to go down? Then tell me what to do. Help me fix everything."
"Oh, my little dragon. If I could do that, believe me, I would, but I can't. It is a fixed point in time that you have to do this on your own. I can't change a fixed event. It would create a paradox and would destroy the universe, and I couldn't do that to the universe."
"Fine. I'll do this on my own...with Vakim's help."
Celestia didn't seem happy with that. "No. The female dragon is going to go back to..."
The Doctor stopped her mid-rant. "Princess, I implore you to allow her to go with Spike. It would not be good to upset what is to occur. Spike is accompanied by Vakim in his journeys; I suggest we keep it that way."
Celestia had to think on this one. I knew she wasn't happy being told what to do, but I also knew she was open to suggestions from those who knew what they were talking about.
"Fine, but if he fails, I will hold you responsible."
"Of course. Spike, before you leave, there is one thing I want to teach you."
"What's that?"
"I want to teach you how to fly the TARDIS."
After all that time wondering how I would learn how to fly that piece of Time Lord technology, all I could say was, "Well, it's about time!"
