"Rainbow Rainbow Rainbow!! I'm ready for my flying lesson!!" Scootaloo jumped around very eagerly
Rainbow did a half-smile to Scootaloo "Alright little filly, you ready? Remember you gotta keep up." You sure you're up to it?
Rainbow already knew Scootaloo was ready for it. She was so persistent, and Rainbow liked persistence.
"Ready to take on ANYTHING!" Scootaloo strikes a pose.
"I like your attitude, Scoots!" Rainbow extended out her wings "Alright. Lemme see those wings of yours."
Scootaloo extended out her tiny wings, making them flap a little.
"Hmmm.. alright. lets take it a little slow since you're kind of a weak flyer. No offense."
Scootaloo remembers being called a weak flyer in school, but she knows its true.
"How did you learn how to fly, Rainbow?" Scootaloo said curiously.
"Well I didn't take it very slow, I was a good flyer by heart. Which explains how I got my cutie mark. I did the sonic rainboom when I was around your age." Scootaloo looked down a little bit, since she can't even get off the ground at her age.
"Oh don't be so hard on yourself, Scoots! Its alright if you're not good at flying. Fluttershy can't fly very well, but she doesn't mind it. But I can see that you're really determined, and determination can get you anywhere."
Scootaloo looked up, very happy that her mentor cared about her. "Thanks, Rainbow. Now lets get started!"
Rainbow lifted up Scootaloo with one hoof. Scootaloo was quite light. "Flap those wings, Scoots! Gotta get them ready for when you start flying!" Rainbow watched Scootaloo flap her wings as hard as she could.
"Now Scootaloo, the trick is trying to be light as possible. Its good that you flap hard, but not too hard. Here."
Rainbow put Scootaloo down on the ground, and slowly flew around her, making sure to inform her on how to flap the wings properly.
Scootaloo made sure to look carefully, and she nodded.
"How about you try it on your own? Be careful though. Not too high"
Scootaloo was worried, but looked proud. She flapped her wings, closed her eyes, and kept focus.
She was flying
Not very high, but she was flying
"Rainbow! Rainbow! I doing it! Im flying! Im fl- Woah!!"
She started falling, she wasn't high, but it would hurt on the fall.
Rainbow dash flew fast over to the falling filly and caught her.
"That was awesome, Scootaloo! You were actually flying!"
Scootaloo still looked down. "I fell though.." She said with a sigh.
Rainbow dash put her hoof around the filly's shoulder. "Oh but you still were flying, Scoots. And higher than you have before. You should be proud! Now we'll practice again tomorrow" Rainbow started flying back home.
Scootaloo smiled at Rainbow. "Thank you, sis"
Rainbow turned around. "What was that?"
Scootaloo's heart sank. "Oh gosh sorry Rainbow I.."
Rainbow looked confused "Are you oka-"
Scootaloo took off "Sorry Rainbow I gotta go bye!!"
"I wonder what got into her.. I hope she's okay" Rainbow flew back home, still worried about Scootaloo.
