Rainbow starts reading now back of her awesome house, after working a long day moving clouds.
“It was surreal moving a dark purple clouds, despite me seeing strange colors everywhere, the cloud itself felt weird and corrosive liquid fueled by dark magic, but it was the only power source around back used properly recharge the mechanical stallion, even if I did use was single shot that I have in that blasted cloud gutted it would be barely enough to charge my friend, possibly enough to keep running for a few hours if we didn't encounter any more monsters. Pushing the cloud through these dangerous hall, filled with traps thankfully I could easily move the cloud with my wings to not have to touch it all the time, allowing me to focus on jumping over a deadly panels, didn't help with things looking in a slightly disarrayed areas. And on several occasions I imagine picking up large amounts of small thunderclouds but it was probably just my imagination wishing that I had access to them.”

(I'm wondering if Derring is actually referring to when the many insanity effects that could happen to your character, that could be easily explained off and say she's in her right mind, or did she actually experienced this one, we may never know?)

Derring-do”I'm back with a nice healthy blast of dark magic.” As she was moving the cloud with her wings into position over her Pharaoh who mechanical friend, she expected him to reply with some type of odd joke but his eyes were cold black instead of their normal vibrating strange colors, she became instantly worried and scared hitting the cloud with both of her back legs, as the dark lightning bolt struck the body, his eyes world to life without on sensation he said.
”back from the statues from whence it came!” Pharaoh was recuperating from his confusion and calmly reassured his friend”don't worry I am back now, but it's nice to know a machine like me can even gain entrance to the great beyond.”

Derring was slightly confused, wondering if she brought back her friend from death itself, if she really retrieved his, as best she could say soul from the Prince of death, brother to the sun and the moon? She was confused but she would decide her confusion for later, as she sat down by her friend and pulled out a small container, a drinking flask, and uncorked the lid”last time I drink from this was from saddle Rabia that's because I was desperate, for moisture, but this time I think this is the first time I'm going to use it for its medicinal properties.” As she took a long drink from it.

Rainbow stopped wondering slightly if she should continue, rented she did read the last time her favorite character got drunk, of course she was suffering from delirium in that desert at the time in the story, here she's getting drunk on purpose, as there was a strange knocking on the door. Rainbow calmly put down her book after placing a bookmark to make sure she didn't lose her place, walked over to the door and noticed a strange contraption being used by pinky pie.

“Pinky you are so random! And what's with the barrels on your strange copter?”
Pinky pie, laughed and giggled”well I thought you and I could enjoy a couple of drinks today, ECB's barrels are shipped over from my cousin Wendy Amelia Pie, we call her whiny for short, she's really good at making in interesting drinks.” Paddling around with two gigantic wine barrels and rainbows slightly hesitated, last time she tried one of pinky pie's creations she was in the hospital for week, as well as pinky pie. (Reference to a certain episode)

Rainbow calmly chuckled and replied”well if I 'm Derring as derring-do of course all have a few drinks with you!”
As pinky pie continue reading the book as her friend rainbow was drinking some of the elusive wind, the story was slightly rambling on about some strange stuff Pharaoh commenting about how he used to fight in a blue stallion by the name of rock, all in order to perfect The little filly that was kidnapped a while back by a stallion by the name of Dr. wily, the second time he was done the shutdown only it was a temporarily off-line status not really a complete shutdown, Derring also rambled about couples unique stories that reference a couple for past avengers, as well as some for work in the college which was also completely funny and well Derring also reference some other strange stories that pinky pie was slightly confused on the evening there, as rainbow calmly replied this is after the unusual story arc where Derring was pregnant, and still going to dangerous jungles.

Pinky pie made a sly comment”wow you two are really alike, I bet if you were with child and the wonder bolts were needing to do a show you would be there in a heartbeat, flying like crazy or a chance to be in the wonderful skipped your other two years of Academy courses.”
Rainbow chuckled at this comment, and said “your moon right!”

After a few more troubles and jokes pinky pie flying strangely(well more than usual) was heading home on her strange rolling machine. As rainbow passed out in a drunken stupor.

A few hours later RainbowDash returning to her book with a slight hangover.

The two ponies continued off slightly drunk but able to continue their exploration Derring slightly more sober than her mechanical comrade, which was confusing because how can a machine get drunk, and also considering she's a Pegasus which is known that they are more considerably more of a light weight when it comes to alcohol, and the stallion was more of a unicorn which is okay tolerance. Nothing like that Earth pony. As they come across to a small hole in the wall, only large before small animal to go into the whole in investigate, if they were lucky it would be impossible for young filly, none of them have the options though. They once again turning to these strange book of multiple skin tissues, there was a reference it referred to summoning creatures, but required a circle power which they stood not have and several symbols which they also do not have.

Derring suggested that they could try, making their own version trying to translate and use different versions of magic to summon their own versions of creatures, since it was supposedly only a 3 Point Cir. which confused them because circles don't have points and the closest thing to three points would be a triangle, using Celestia is cutie Mark as a example for a circle power, and using the crest of the symbol of the Alicorn Alignment Rune. To represent summoning they use a symbol of a parchment. Since they were summoning a creature, that was small of a animal Derring proceeded with a symbol of a small turtle.

As Pharaoh cast the spell!

“ Alicorn, Royal summon, shield.” And these Circle flashing and it seemed that they've cast a spell incorrect really. Then it came to their drive station that technically probably a creature does not count as a alignment, so once again they tried using celestia symbol within her own cutie Mark, and considering the creature was looking much more like a scorpion, and the diagrams shown in the book, they used a symbol of the scorpion instead of a bear trap on top, as the creature was referred to as a trapper.

Pharaoh proceeded to try casting again!

“Derring-do's notes for young readers, what are you about to read is for bid in magic that due to the special circumstances the Princess allowed us to cast without any legal expressions, do not I repeat do not cast these spells young folds, I know it might be exciting to cast magic that any pony can cast, but be sure not to use these magics, granted what we are summoning here is a small creature capable of teleporting stuff to another universe, and the only way how you would ever be able to reasonably retrieve it back, is to send your self and your friends to this universe as well, I am of immature adult, and I barely got through the place which you'll read later on, do not attempt these magics. The reason they are for bidding is stated clearly, the creatures we were facing before hand can be also summoned IVs magics, that we were about to demonstrate only and a stronger power set up we do not know the symbol power so thankfully you probably never come across it. Signed yours truly derring-do.” Rainbowdash read out loud, while rainbow was brave brash and sure of herself, she was not reckless and would not summon the deadly creatures, and can only imagine the other forms that these things could take channeling through other ponies magics, and this book was obviously written before Luna's return and twilights promotion.  Old rainbow, might have done this because of her bold brashness but over the years she has been tempered, understanding recklessness and showing off are two totally different things.

As she calmly silently read the reaction spell, and then read the description of the creature that they summon, a strange scorpion like creature made out fire her as hot as Celestia flames of magic, with the rainbow coat of fires, as it made a strange screeching noise, as the Pharaoh stallion was in a small trans controlling the creature walking through the small hallway, a short time later Pharaoh reverted back to normal, and replied”there was a mystical tablet and ancient symbol inside the small hallway as a small lever, I targeted three things and sent them into the dimension in that the voices speak of, I do not believe so I can cast a spell on myself to reasonably summon myself back, and the only way to retrieve said items is to visit this strange location, the voices did state that magic would not work there and since I'm sold by magic I don't think I will function, are you willing to take this chance ms.Doo?”

As rainbow eagerly flip to the next page, the next chapter!
