Spike stared at the book fear was clearly shown on his face, this is the book that the voice told him to go find when he was walking into the library.
"but why and what does it mean by new family?" Spike thought to him self
"Read little dragon" the voice said.
spike heard the voice again looking around to see if any pony was there finding none he went back to staring at the book getting ready to open it to see why the voice wants him to read it so much when he heard his name being called across the room.
"SPIKE!,where are you?" yelled twilight.
Quickly putting the book away he called out to twilight letting her know where he was at.
"Im over here" Spike yelled back,making his way back to the group at the table.
"What where you doing over there?" ask twilight
"Just looking around while you guys talk about what ever it is your talking about?" spike side with a fake smile.
"We were discussing that we may have a possible a new evil coming to this world one worse then King Sombra" side twilight.
"There can't be any thing worse then King Sombra right?" ask Rarity.
"Ya he was pure evil" side Pinkie.
"And scary" side Fluttershy.
"Enough we all know about King Sombra but we are not talking about him were discussing on what me and Luna feel at this moment, a evil that we don't really understand at all we feel it but we don't know how to approach it" said Celestia.
I feel it like i feel nightmare moon. said Luna.
Spike was listing to the princess's talk about the new evil that they feel, when he felt tired like all his energy was taken from him in one single motion.
"Yawn" hey twilight im feel tired im going to go take a nap" said Spike.
"Spike you cant go to sleep we are having a discussion with the Princess's on a possibly new threat to Equestria!" saidTwilight.
"It is all right Twilight, Spike can go to the room you will be staying in for the night to nap he is not really needed for this just the Elements barriers,ill have one of my guards take you too your room Spike." said Celestia
"GUARD!" yelled Celestia.
A royal guard came into the room sprinting up the the princess, have gave a salute and spoke.
"Yes princess?" the guard ask.
"Please take Spike here too his room where Twilight will be staying at tonight" said Celestia.
"Yes princess" the guard side with a bow, "come little dragon i will take you to your room." the guard said in a well mannered voice.
With a nod spike fallowed the guard out of the Royal Library.
They made there way through the halls of the castle until they reach the guest room's area of the castle where ambassadors or high ranking officials like the elements or other royal being form different nations can stay at.
Here you go little dragon enjoy your stay.
Spike nodded to the guard, who shut the door shortly after, Spike made his way to a bed at the end of the room.
The room was not that big but it was decent, it had two bed's a door that lead to the balcony that look out over the garden of the castle giving a breath taking view of the sun setting over the mountains in the distance.
Spike took out the black book from his bag setting it on the bed.
He stared at it for a while before taking a deep breath he open the book and began to read what was on the first page.
CHAPTER 1: The DarkBrotherHood
The Dark BrotherHood is a guild of assassins that came to Equestria in 427BC (Before celestia) they where a small group at the time lead by a unknown being called Sithis in his guild all in his members usually call them self family.
"His family?" Spike thought to him self.
Any stallion or mare can join the Dark Brotherhood. Initiates must display the ability to kill mercilessly, without regret or sorrow.
"Well then why did the mare foulnap me i cried and felt sorrow when i killed that griffin by mistake." Spike thought to him self trying to block the memory from his mind on what he did on that day.
Shaking the memory from his mine he continue to read.
But if a member of the BrotherHood believes that a being is worth having in the guild they would usually foulnap them and make them comment a murder to prove that they are worthy to join the BrotherHood.
"Well that explains it." Spike rolled his eyes.
CHAPTER 2: The Night Mother.
The night mother is the mother of all the Dark BrotherHood member's.
She is the voice of the BrotherHood and only the Listener can hear her voice.
"The Listener but i heard her voice does that mean..I'm the Listener then is that the reason the mare choice me because i heard this voice?." Spike continue to read.
The Night Mother came into power from the BrotheHood when Sithis told her to kill her five young foals in his name. After the deed was done Sithis gave her the honor of being his wife and being the head of the Dark Brotherhood.
Spike could not believe what he was reading a mother killing her own foals in the name of a crazy mad stallion.
"Why would she do that i mean its...its not right at all."
"YOU HAVE A LOT... TO LEARN LITTLE DRAGON... DO NOT SAY SUCH... BLASPHEMY ABOUT SITHIS!"
Spike heard the voice yell at him witch scared him cause him to drop the book on the ground.
"Sorry Sorry" Spike side in a panic voice, looking around to fine no one there he pick up the book and continue to read.
CHAPTER 3: The Five Testaments of The Dark BrotherHood.
Tenet 1: Never dishonor the Night Mother. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Tenet 2: Never betray the Dark Brotherhood or its secrets. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Tenet 3: Never disobey or refuse to carry out an order from a Dark Brotherhood superior. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Tenet 4: Never steal the possessions of a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Tenet 5: Never kill a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
"That's pretty simple to remember" spike side while scratching the back of his head.
CHAPTER 5: Summoning The Dark BrotherHood.
For prospective clients to contact the Dark Brotherhood, they would carry out a ritual called The Black Sacrament. This ritual would inform the Night Mother of their intentions.
As documented in the rare and taboo work "A Kiss, Sweet Mother," the Black Sacrament involves an effigy of the intended victim -- created from actual body parts, including a heart, skull, bones and flesh -- within a circle of candles.
To proceed with the ritual, one must stab the effigy repeatedly with a dagger rubbed with the petals of a Nightshade plant, while whispering the plea, "Sweet Mother, sweet Mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear."
As gruesome as this ritual may be, even more frightening is its intention -- the summoning of a mysterious assassin (who some witnesses claim is always clad in a black hooded robe) who will then receive money to kill an innocent victim. No remorse. No regret. It is, as the merchant's say, simply business.
Reading that sent chills down Spiks spine.
Suddenly the door to the room open Spike quickly pulled the cover over him self hiding the book under the sheets with him he fake falling asleep.
Twilight entered the room looking at Spike sleeping she smiled at her number one helper before making her way into her bed on the opposite side of Spike's, "I guess we are all pretty tired to day spike" Twilight thought to her self.
With a yawn twilight pulled the sheet's of her blanket over her head before falling asleep having a tiring day, trying to figure out about what Luna and Celestia where feeling finding no answer and having most of her friends leave to go to bed she could not help but feel the same way.
"Good night spike hope you don't have any nightmare's this night",with that side twilight gave one more yawn before falling asleep.
Spike waited for a hour to make sure that twilight was really asleep before he got up and walk out to the balcony.
The night was bright out because of the full moon that was hanging in the night sky Spike set the book on the table that was out on the balcony and flip it open.
CHAPTER 6: The Black Door
The black door is the main door to all Dark BrotherHood sanctuary's.
It speaks in a riddle that the members of the Brother Hood would only now when they are given to them by the leader of the sanctuary.
The door would normally ask any question to new members of the family of the sanctuary once the member says the password the door seems too remember every one that it has ask the question too and will open with out having to ask the question again.
"That pretty cool actually" spike thought to him self.
But if the member does not know the password the door will simply say "You are not worthy" and it wont open you can ask it again till you get it but that's most likely impossible.
Final CHAPTER 7: Sithis
Sithis is neither an God nor a Devil.
In fact, according to ancient texts, Sithis predates the creation of both groups and played a part in their creation with his older "brother" Anu (god of order and light).
When their blood was spilled in combat, it mixed and gave birth to the Gods, but Sithis's lone blood ended up giving birth to the Devils. This leads some to refer to Sithis as "The True God"; the one who existed before everything else and whose chaotic nature caused the reaction that gave life to the current gods.
"That explains why Luna and Celestia can feel evil where they don't know where it is coming from they have some small amount blood of sithis in them!" Spike side out loud.
Sithis is described as the embodiment of everything evil, but at the same time, he is described as being nothing at all: a void. He is appeased through death (although he himself is not a god of death) and other acts of suffering and strife.
Sometime during the 514BC Sithis visited a mare.
She then gave birth to five Fouls of Sithis. The mare then claimed to hear the voice of Sithis in her head, telling her to send their children to him.
However this could not be achieved easily, so she sacrificed her five Fouls, thus sending them to the Void to reunite with their father. Following this, many angry citizens killed the mare for her actions and burnt down her house.
It is said that this action created The Night Mother. At least 30 years after this, a male Griffin heard voices in his head, much like the Night Mother heard Sithis.
He followed the voices to her tomb and it was there the first listener of the Dark Brotherhood was created.
Following this and the establishment of the Dark Brotherhood that worships Sithis, he became much more publicly worshiped throughout all of Equestria.
According to The Brothers of Darkness, he is "married" to The Night Mother, and the Dark Brotherhood are their metaphorical children.
Spike still could not believe that the mare did that to her own fouls and she did what Siths side to do.
"Now you know are history my child... come to the sanctuary... where one of your sisters... gave you the direction too."
Spike thought for a moment before heading back to his bed putting the book back in his bag he got up on his bed pulled the covers over himself and fell asleep thinking if he should go to the sanctuary or not?.
Mean while in another room in the castle,Fluttershy look out her window staring at the full moon.
"Soon spike you will come to me and i will show you the way of the Dark BrotherHood, where your training on how to be a assassin,you will have your vary first contract soon." With that side Fluttershy made her way to her bed and went too sleep for the night.
