I apologize for putting you through all of this. When you completed the spell even Star Swirl the Bearded was unable to, I thought you were ready for this, but I was wrong. Will you ever forgive me Twilight, for everything? Back when you were just a filly, I already have plans for your future, but there was one thing that you needed help with and that my dear, was to socialize. Ever since I made you my personal pupil, you always stuck your head in a book and never communicate with other ponies; That's why I sent you to Ponyville. When I heard that you've made some great friends, I knew my decision had been right but I was shocked when you said you were going to stay in Ponyville. I was feeling sick and somewhat jealous of your new friends. Seeing that you'd rather stay with them rather than me made me felt upset, but I knew it was the right decision to let you stay because you've grown up and don't need me anymore. Still, receiving a letter from you once in a while always cheers me up.

Also, I had many things to thank you for. You had freed my sister from Nightmare Moon, defeated Discord, and saving the Crystal Empire. I don't know what I'd do without you. You've also found out Chrysalis' plot to take over Canterlot before any of us can. I thank you for all the good deeds you have done.

But, Twilight I didn't tell you, becoming an Alicorn doesn't make you immortal... 
Yes, it does give you more power, but it doesn't give you immortality. I never thought you would ask but take Cadence as an example, she was once a Pegasus. Cadence learned the magic of love, which made her worthy of becoming an Alicorn, but that didn't stop her from aging and it will be the same for you. That is one fear I have, you passing away...

At first, my feelings towards you were just teacher to student. As I raised you, our bond grew and before I know it, I started to think of you as my daughter. As a princess, I have royal duties to attend to and can't spend time with you like a real mother. I've always envied your parents because they have a higher place in your heart than me. Twilight, I just wanted to say I love you, too.
