//------------------------------// // Anything's Possible With Imagination // Story: How To Write An MLP Fanfiction // by CharibasaHooves //------------------------------// It was the last day of Rainbow Dash's recuperation of her damaged wings. She was making the finishing touches of her fanfic. It was a stormy day outside. Rainbow Dash can't get out or her wings will get wet and she won't be able to fly. The candle that was constantly lit shrank half it's original size. Finally, she snapped. She ran out of ideas. After all of that confusion and filtering of her ideas, she finally ran out. "Argh! I can't take it anymore." Exclaimed Rainbow Dash. She spits out the quill on the ground and shouted, "I can't do this! I am that close to finishing it but I have failed! I've done all what I can do but still fell from my predicted success." She began to cry. Sobs are all around her. Owlowiscious was just looking at her sadness. The storm grew louder and louder. She sniffed and continued, "Even my friends' and enemies' stories can't help. Just a bit, but it didn't help a lot!!" Suddenly, the window opened and a powerful gust of wind blew inside. The scroll with her fanfic blew away from her and went out of the window. She quickly got an umbrella, opened the door and went outside. The thunder was crashing loudly. Half of Ponyville was severely flooded and the scrolls began to blow away. Rainbow Dash ran as fast as she can. But the scrolls were stuck on a tree. She began to unfold her wings and fly, but the rain made it wet and made her unable to fly. She instead climbed on the tree and attempted to get the scrolls, but she was too late as it blew away and landed in a small puddle. She quickly got the scrolls in the puddle but it was already wet. The writings she did throughout the past three days were all turned into smudges. Some of the scrolls were torn apart. She began to cry. As she was done crying, the storm stopped. She was on the floor with her soaked fanfic. A mysterious dark blue mare came to her. "Ummm... Hello?" The mare asked. "Go away! I need some privacy!" Rainbow ran back to the library and closed the door shut. The mare slowly went to the library and opened the door. It was dark. The lit candle was already gone. "I said go a-" She stopped and looked at her, "Mare Do Well?" "Yes. Rainbow. Remember me?" "I...I....I can explain." Rainbow let Mare Do Well enter the library. She closed the window that was opened during the storm. "Don't you tell another story on me, please." "Oh don't worry Rainbow. I won't. And why?" "Because I'm making a fanfic." She answered. "A....fanfic?" "Here. Let me show you." She got the book from the table and handed it over to Mare Do Well. She quickly read it and came to a stop. She slammed the book shut and said, "Why do you want to do this?" "Because.....Because...." Rainbow Dash said quietly as she thinks for an answer. "I.... want... to... be... popular..." Mare Do Well sighed and told her, "Rainbow, I thought you learned your lesson before." "But I did! This is just a piece literature that we are talking about." "Well, I thought it was another heroic act. Oh well." Mare Do Well said as she leaves the library. "Wait!" Rainbow shouted. "Yes?" "Will you give me a tip from how to write these fanfics?" "Well, I may not be a writer, but I can give you this; Make it original and unpredictable. Say that people would want to read it. It can range from what you can come up from your mind, or a true story - but make sure it's interesting." "Thanks. You helped me a lot." "Oh. I forgot to tell you one more thing. A young teenage colt once told me: 'Unleash your imagination! Anything is possible if you can believe in it.'" "Thank you." She finally stopped crying. She looked down at the wet scrolls but when she looked up, Mare Do Well was gone. "Mare Do Well?" She looked all around the outside of the library, but she was no longer there. She closed the door and turned on the lights. She decided to clean up the place. Se picked up a broom and started sweeping the little leaves and branches that blew in to the library during the storm. Then, she placed the soggy scrolls to the trash bin. When she was done, she saw Twilight outside looking at her. "Oh hi Rainbow Dash." "Hey Twilight." She greeted her softly. "I see your wings are fully recuperated. You can fly whenever you want now." Twilight said. "Nah! I think I had enough time flying." She replied as she cleaned up the tables. "Oh. I see." "But Twilight I have to ask you something." "Yes, Rainbow?" "Do you have something to write?" "Yes! I got a blank book, some quills and some ink over there." She pointed her hoof to the drawer. Rainbow quickly opened it and she found a dusty brown book with no notes, marks or words on the pages. "I better go now. Bye Twilight." She flew out of the library as fast as she can. "Goodbye Rainbow!" She shouted. Rainbow went back to her house, a bit sad of what's next is she gonna write. She then remembered what Mare Do Well told her, "Make it original and unpredictable. Say that people would want to read it. It can range from what you can come up from your mind, or a true story - but make sure it's interesting. Unleash your imagination! Anything is possible if you can believe in it." She opened the book, blew the remaining dust off the book and began to write, Fanfictions - the most entertaining writings of literature. When these pieces of literature were discovered to the public, they all made their own fanfics as well. These stories spread throughout the community like wildfire. These fanfics come in all shapes, sizes and genres including Adventure, Comedy, Grim Dark, Romance and other more genres that you can think of. Mares and colts do these as well. But how would an actual character of those fanfics write their original stories? And she then continued writing the story. The End!
