"Will she be ok?"
"Can we help her?"
"How did this happen?"
Fluttershy slowly slipped into consciousness, her eyes hanging low as she realized she was in the Emergency Room. When she fully processed what was going on, she started to hyperventilate in pure panic and fear. Suddenly, she felt a fierce bolt of pain through her body, and scrunched up in a ball.
"How is she?" Asked Twilight, her face held a look of pure fear.
The doctor looked at everypony in the room, then responded "Could I tell you in private, Princess?"
Twilight nodded and they set off into the hallway.

"Well?" Asked Twilight impatiently, "How is she?"
"Well... Princess, I fear that she may not recover from this and be scarred for life. I honestly didn't expect her awake this soon." The doctor sighed, "She has a concussion and may never be able to move on her own again, remember, she was attacked by a powerful manticore who most likely poisoned her..."
"But... Fluttershy has kept Equestria standing for several years... can't you do something?"
"We possibly may not. The antidote is very expensive..." the doctor was cut off by Twilight.
"Give her some."
"What?"
"Give Fluttershy some of the antidote. Celestia will understand my intent, just save the Element of Kindness."
"Alright then." They stepped back into the room to look at a panicking Pegasus, who was blubbering gibberish.
"Ysgd bchxbdyd sydhb efxhsiks hyst eresis Kk Manticore hsgddbdgejejh hsgxgdhdgx::&&77/ /##/!!!$$ $ $&& !!n Everpee Roarest bshdhdbxbksk bxudkskabsyw owieuensq qqpqokwka ownsbshsns !"
"What in the hay was that?" Asked a deeply confused Apple Jack.
" Well.." Rainbow Dash spoke for the first time since she found her best friend in the forest, mauled and slowly dieing, "she said something about a manticore named Lion Tail in the Everfree Forest..."
"Rainbow, I didn't expect you to understand her..." Twilight began.
"Do you think I haven't dealt with a drunk Fluttershy before?" Rainbow Dasuh snapped a Twilight, the matter of her friend's near death going to her head a little.
When Rainbow Dash went back to staring at the floor, Fluttershy mumbled weakly for Rainbow.
"Rainbow... Dash... you... will always be... my best friend..." her voice trailed off.
Rainbow went to Fluttershy's side, tears falling from her eyes. "Don't leave me, Fluttershy..."
All were silent for a moment as the two pegisi sat. The sadness ached across Equestria for this innocent mare, and this was the center of it all.
"Rainbow..." mumbled Fluttershy.
"Yes?"
"Whenever something goes wrong..." she smile slightly, "Blame Katie."

Just because I write out your fates doesn't mean you blame me. I know where stuff will go, but I can't just tell you all the happy endings.
"You could if you wanted." Butted in Twilight.

"Fine." Rainbow sighed.

Rainbow Dash sobbed for a while, her mane in her eyes. Pinkie Pie was breaking the Forth Wall and Rainbow didn't even acknowledge it. Rainbow went back into the shadows, not bearing to look at anypony.
She can't just... die... can she? I'll... I'll miss her so much... if she goes... I'm... I'm going with her... one way or the other... The cyan Pegasus mare sighed. This wasn't the first time she thought of committing suicide just to be with Fluttershy.

Twilight kept glancing at Rainbow Dash, who was acting worse than usual. Sure there was nothing normal about Rainbow crying, but something just seemed... off... about her. Her aura wasn't right... it seemed that way but it was still not normal with her thoughts and feels.

I made a promise to you, Shy, that I would never leave you, even if it cost me my life. I intend to keep that.

Rainbow sulked as she did her weather duties. She wouldn't smile or make eye contact, and would snap at ponies all day. Then she went to see Fluttershy.
When she got there, when she saw Fluttershy, her mood improved.
"Earlier today... *COUGH* they gave me the antidote for the poison." Fluttershy's weak voice made Rainbow hug her best friend.
"Will you be ok?" Rainbow asked.
"I'm not sure right now.. but... Rainbow...."
"Yes?"
"Remember the promise you made to me back when we were fillys?"
"Yeah. I do."
"Don't keep it."
Rainbow's mouth dropped. "But... but Fluttershy! I swore on my life to be with you no matter what !"
"If I go... Equestria will need you, Dashie. More than ever."
" I swore to keep that promise, on my life. If you go..."
The two sat in silence for awhile. They both knew what Rainbow intended. Fluttershy couldn't bear the thought of what Rainbow Dash would do to be with her. Rainbow suddenly went to the door.
"Rainbow... don't do it..." Fluttershy said just before the door shut.
Fluttershy sighed. "She never breaks a promise, but that isn't always a good thing. But... I can't just let her go kill herself... Equestria will need her." She sighed. "If I wasn't immobile... I would stop her..." Just then, her food was brought. She smiled at the nurse, and began to eat. She didn't eat a lot due to the fact of Rainbow Dash committing suicide. Fluttershy knew that sometimes ponys do go kill themselves or make others kill them out of depression, but she never thought that this would happen.

Twilight walked into Fluttershy's room.
"Fluttershy... did you see the way Rainbow is acting? It's strange... something isn't right..." Twilight stopped when she saw a tear roll down Fluttershy's cheek.
"Don't let her do it, Twilight. Make sure she doesn't keep the promise."
"What promise?"
"When we were fillys... Dash swore on her life never to leave me."
"So... she's going to commit suicide just to be with you?"
Fluttershy nodded weakly. "Don't let her. Talk her out of it. Do something to prevent her... and whatever you do... don't tell the others or tell her I told you."
Twilight nodded, and walked toward the door. "I'll make sure she's safe."
Fluttershy sighed when Twilight left. "I hope you can save her, Twilight. I really do."
