//------------------------------// // Chapter 4 - Uninvited guests // Story: All things evil // by Flame Bolt //------------------------------// As the sisters made their way to the door a mirror caught Eclipse’s eyes she looked into the mirror and saw a familiar figure, Twilight Sparkle was looking back at her but was then replaced by a black figure wearing armour in a similar style to her sister but it represented her new personality, fierce and unforgiving. Whereas Twilight was small like an average pony, Eclipse was the size of an alicorn, without the wings. Her horn was bigger and more majestic looking. To sum it all up, she looked nothing like her past self. Just as she was about to set off in pursuit of her sister she had a sudden vision of a small purple baby dragon, the pain this came with was unimaginable and almost caused her to lose consciousness and she would have if not for her ‘new, tougher’ self. “That dragon” Eclipse mumbled “he is very familiar”. Quickly remembering the guests at the door Eclipse darted to her sister’s side and reached it astoundingly quickly, “whoa” said a surprised Eclipse, Nightmare turned her head, “what’s the matter Eclipse?” Eclipse gave her sister a sinister smile “I could get used to this new power” Nightmare Moon smiled to herself “It seems Twilight sparkle isn’t coming back” she thought. Somewhere inside Lunar Eclipse’s corrupted mind, a familiar lavender unicorn opened her eyes... Eclipse could hear the muffled voices of ponies attempting forced entry into the room until one of them made her freeze on the spot, “allow me, my little ponies”. With a blindingly bright blast, Eclipse was thrown by the immense force into a dark corner of the room, where she used some of the extra power the darkness gave her to recover. During her recovery Eclipse played the voice over and over in her head until she realised who the voice belonged to. “Celestia!” she growled between gritted teeth, Eclipse was furious, in her mind Celestia had betrayed her. Eclipse decided to wait in the shadows gathering more strength for her grand appearance. 6 figures walked through the dust, five ponies and one alicorn. Nightmare Moon’s eyes widened in realisation of who the alicorn was, “B-but, that’s impossible! H-how did you escape?” rasped Nightmare Moon “Did you really think that a simple sealing spell from my corrupted sister would be able to hold me?” snapped Celestia and cut straight to the point “where’s my student, Twilight Sparkle?” Nightmare Moon let out a triumphant laugh. “Ugh, not my head again” whispered Eclipse as she rubbed her head. Eclipse eventually shook it off and returned to listening to the conversation in hand. Nightmare Moon couldn’t help but grin at the anger on Celestia’s face, “What have you done to her?” she asked. Lunar Eclipse had heard enough and slowly came out of the shadows with a vicious grin on her face “remember me?” Celestia could only stare in shock as her faithful student had become an evil puppet of the night. The other ponies looked at each other in anguish and regret, realising that they had been too late to save their friend. Eclipse couldn’t help but laugh at the expression of fear on Celestia’s face, eventually composing herself enough to speak, “If only you could see the priceless expression on your face” Eclipse immediately burst into laughter again. Celestia could only bring herself to look down... She had failed Twilight Sparkle. “Don’t feel too bad Celestia, I’m like your sister now or should I say MY sister”. Celestia continued to look at the ground as Lunar Eclipse went over and stood by Nightmare Moon’s side. A tear slid down Celestia’s cheek and fell to the ground, she looked up at Lunar Eclipse, “I failed you Twili--” Eclipse immediately cut her off “DON’T EVER CALL ME BY THAT NAME!” Eclipse screamed and fired a powerful spell at Celestia. Celestia stumbled back, barely able to keep standing, “Princess!” one of the ponies cried out as they all ran to her side “come girls” Celestia said weakly, “I’ll... Find another way” and after a bright flash of light, they were gone.
