Years after the death of Spike the dragon Twilight was reading a book but everything thing changed when the griffons attacked. Griffons were evil creatures that were from the east forbidden zone and they were made of lions and eagles! Sadly nopony could do anything because they were heavily out numbered because griffons can get it on if you know what I mean. 

So the griffons quickly took over Equestria and ruled with a iron claw/fist/talon. One day during the daily slaves daylight enjoyment Thorn the half dragon, who was Spike the dragon and Twilight's son asked his mom. " MOM! Why are those griffons beating that poor mare!?!?"
he said as he pointed at said griffons shooting the mare with lazors which the griffons made with there evil tech and smacking her.

"Because griffons are from evil lands and hate ponies!" 
Twilight said and this made Thorn angry and he couldnt take the suffuring and the pain so he yelled at the griffons. "HEY you guys stop that right now!" the griffons look over and said "Shut up kid or you will pay!" and they aimmed there lazors at him but just as they were about to shoot Twilight jumped infront of him. "No! mom no!!!" Thorn shouted at the top of lung.


"It's okay Thorn -cough- im going to where your father is -wheeze- so promise me you'll live and not take revenge?" Twilight said as she close her eyes for the final time.
"I'm sorry mom... but im going to have to break that promise." he said quickly jumping forward towards a griffon disarming him and blasting his head.

"The griffons must pay!" Bystanders had seen Thorn take out that griffon and seeing that gave them hop for a new future. "Listen everypony we can stop the griffon threat if we work together! So will you join me?" Thorn said in a inspiring voice. Which caused everypony within a 5 mile radius to band together and grab lazors and rocks to use as weapons. 
Thorn lead the army to the griffon base of the tower of death.
