The room had a five pointed star drawn on the floor with a candle on each point and a mirror in the center. The book 'How to Create Your Own Interdimensional Portals' was laying open on the floor.
"Are you sure nothing will come though and try to eat our brains?"
"First this will only be a window. The only way anything will get through is if the universe we're trying to view is trying to view us at the exact same time. Second even if that happens they will probably be very similar to ourselves. The idea they would want to eat our brains is ridiculous."
"So something can get through!"
"Yes, but there's only a one in three billion one hundred forty one million five hundred ninety two thousand six hundred fifty three chance that that would happen."
"Alright, but if something bad happens I get to say 'I told you so'."
Twilight summoned magic to her horn and cast the complex spell on the mirror. The mirror glowed brightly for a few seconds then...

Twilight Sparkle the human scientist and Spike her intern were in her lab. The room had specialized equipment lining the walls along with a bookshelf filled with textbooks on interdimensional theory. A doorway shaped device was in the center of the room with a table in front of it and a laptop on the table. Tesla coils and jacobs ladders were in seemingly random locations around the room.
"Are you sure nothing will come though and try to eat our brains?"
"First this will only be a window. It is highly unlikely that something will get through. Second even if that happens they will probably be very similar to ourselves. The idea they would want to eat our brains is ridiculous."
"How unlikely?"
"A one in two million seven hundred eighteen thousand two hundred eighty one chance."
"Alright, but if something bad happens I get to say 'I told you so'."
Twilight pressed enter on her computer, the doorway started to glow, energy lanced to the center and...

"Uggg, get off me."
"I would but there's somepony on top of me."
"I'm not exactly a pony, and I'm not the top of the pile either."
"Sorry I'll try to move."
The four Twilights got off each other and examined one another.
"You're all me! How? What? How did this happen?" Asked all the Twilights at once.
"Remember you said that if another universe is trying to look at our universe while we are trying to look at theirs then something can come through." Three Spikes said together while getting up.
"But there's more than two of me!" Pony Twilight said.
"We must have viewed each others universes in a chain." Antho Twilight said.
"But the chances of that happening is only one in one hundred sixty one billion eight hundred three million three hundred ninety eight thousand eight hundred seventy four." Winged human Twilight said.
"So which of your universes are we in? Asked human Twilight.
"The pony universe." Antho Spike said. "We checked while you were panicking."
"So how do we get home?" Human Twilight asked.
"I'll just use the portal spell to send you home." Pony Twilight said.
"Spell!? As in magic. But magic doesn't exist!" Human Twilight shouted.
"It might not exist in your universe but it does here." Pony Twilight said.
"As it does in my universe." Anthro Twilight said.
"And in mine." Winged Human Twilight said.
"I checked the book and I'll need some hair from each of you to make sure you go to the right universe." Pony Twilight said. "I also enchanted some gems to connect mirrors across universes." Pony Twilight gave them each a gem. Pony Twilight casts the spell. "Anthos first, then you two, and the non magical ones last."
