Uncovering

NOTE: Finally here! Sorry for the shortness, but the next chapter will be a lot longer. Pinkie swear.

We were all in a stupor. What was Fluttershy thinking? We watched as she disappeared into the forest. I could tell that something fishy was going on, but before I could say anything, Rainbow Dash broke the silence.

“Well?” She exclaimed, “Aren't we going to go after her?”

“Now wait, Rainbow,” I said back, “This could be a trap, for all we know.” But sure enough, she was off at top speed. I was incredibly frustrated, of course, but I also understood. They were sisters, after all.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Just for the count, this is not ever mentioned in the show, but I think that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are sisters. This does explain a lot of things, like why Rainbow stood up for Fluttershy in Cutie Mark Chronicles, and why Rainbow wakes Fluttershy up in The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000. NO, I DO NOT THINK SHE IS LESBIAN. It's an insult to the essence of the show as well as a lazy man's explaination.

At that point, we had no choice but to run off after them. No matter how much I thought this was a trap, we just couldn't lose Rainbow. She's impulsive, but if it comes to war, she would be our best soldier. So we ran though the forest, looking for her. Sure enough, she was tangled up in a tree.

“Come on, Rainbow,” I chided, “You can't break your wing again! If you're going to be brash, be careful about it, at least!” I pulled at the mess of branches entangling her. But as soon as she was free, she was off again. I just sighed, and we continued running.

After an hour or two, we stumbled upon a clearing in the trees. Surrounding the clearing was Rainbow Dash, crouched in hiding.

“Now Rainbow,” I started, but she pulled us down beneath the bushes.

“Are you crazy?” She whispered, “You'll get us caught!”

“Caught?” I said. But now that she mentioned it, I could make out two faint voices coming from the clearing.

“...ready yet?” One of the ponies said. Call me crazy, but that voice sounded oddly familiar. It wasn't Fluttershy, but I knew it.

Then I heard a soft and demure voice that could have only belonged to Fluttershy. “Yes, they're ready... Are you sure this is the right thing to do?”

“Of course!” The voice said, “There's no other way. It needs to happen, or we'll all become her puppets!”

“Well alright, if you say so...”

I couldn't stand the suspense any longer. I burst out of the bush to find Fluttershy talking with no one other than Ditzy Doo. Fluttershy gasped and hid behind the nearest tree. Ditzy just stood there with a cocky smile on her face.

“About time, huh?” She said, “I knew you would find me out soon, so congratulations on that!” She slowly clapped her hooves.

Rainbow stepped forwards. “Cut the crap, Ditzy,” She said, “What are you doing here anyway? Why were you talking to my sister like that? Are you a spy?”

Ditzy just held up her hooves in submission. “Alright, alright. You can come out, Fluttershy. They're just your friends.” Fluttershy slowly backed away from the tree, shivering slightly. Ditzy continued. “Now, where to start. I wonder?”

I spoke up. “Well, why don't you tell us about your little conversation with Fluttershy?”

“Ah, bright as usual, Twilight. Perfect place, if you ask me. So, how can I explain this? Well, I could go on for hours, but I'll give you the short version. The point is, Celestia's gotta go. We've had enough of her tyranny. It's time the ponies had a voice.”

Celestia overthrown?

What had I gotten myself into?

How did I not notice this earlier?

But I understood now.

I was in the middle of an all out war.

But the scary part was,

I didn't know which side I was on
