A College Life- Trivium's Story Part II

Chapter 2: Old... Friend?

The air was rather cold, and the wind was sharp. I walked through the crowds of ponies, cold wind blowing constantly against my face. I heard lots of chatter, and I couldn't see very much, because I was significantly shorter then almost every other pony in the area.
I eventually found a less crowded area, and started exploring the area around there. This university must've had tons of land, being that it was a major institution of technology in Canterlot. Of course it was going to be massive, what was I thinking? My mind wandered just as I did. I was walking passed some dorms, the more high-end ones, to be specific. I assumed that the reason this area was empty was because most the ponies who lived in those were out being high-class or something. I paused, hearing a voice I'd recognized.

"You...."

I felt chills run down my spine.

"Triv....Ium?"

I turned, slowly.

"Vadorous?" I gasped, seeing him.

"You still mad at me?" He asked, grinning. Typical old Vado. He stood next to a white unicorn, one I recognized from one too many trips to a bar.

"You." She said, stepping forwards, cutting Vadorous off. "If you ever, even thing about touching Vadorous, I will be sure to arrange your funeral quickly." Her horn glew red. I felt fear and pain flowing through me, I tried to run, but I was frozen.

"Vinyl! Wait!" Vadorous cried out, his voice sounding miles away.

"You have no business here." She growled. Her voice seeped into me, like inc slithering through a river, finding its' target with ease. I felt like I was shrinking. I tried again to move, or cry out, but I was frozen, locked in her spell. "You'd best go back to the box you live in."
Feeling a rush of fear, pain, shock, and many more emotions was too much to handle. I felt a heavy pang of exhaustion and collapsed.

"He's fine," I heard a voice. "I made sure of it."

"Well," I heard a guard's voice. "Dragging an un-conscious pony through university grounds isn't exactly a great idea, and I think you could image why, escpecially when you're as famous as you are."

"Sheesh, I knew what I was doing, everything was under control. He just couldn't handle the pressure, or something, I guess." Vinyl's voice sounded careless, and had a hint of sarcasm in it.

"I'll let you go this time, but next time, don't get yourself in any trouble." I heard a door slam shut.

"He awake yet?" Her voice got closer.

"Nope," Vadorous' voice replied. Without opening my eyes, I tried to asses the situation.

I must've passed out in the spell Vinyl cast, and she must've dragged me through the university grounds to her dorm, where I lay right now, on a bed.

"Did you really have to do that to him?" Vadorous questioned. "He's probably had a horrible life."

I slowly opened my eyes, getting a rush of blinding light. I groaned in pain, rolling onto my back.

"Welcome back, princess." Vinyl spat, standing up, and walking away.

Being the result of previous events, I was confused, and with good reason.

"Where... Am I?" I choked out.

"My dorm." Vadorous said. "Vinyl here knocked you out with some... Magic, stuff... For no REASON!" He called, turning his head behind him.

"He could have tried to murder you again!" Vinyl called out carelessly, sitting at a computer- a very strange computer, at that.

"Would you have tried to murder me?" Vadorous asked me.

"No...." I said.

"See?!"

"He could be lying!"

"Are you lying?"

"No...." I grinned slightly.

"He's not lying."

"He could be lying about that!"

"This isn't going anywhere." I said as Vadorous turned to me. "What time is it, by the way?"

"10:47 PM."

"I need to get going, like. Now." I said, lifting myself out of the bed I was laying in. "We can talk later or something, but not for now."

I flopped onto my own bed. My dorm room felt cold. I'd given Vadorous my email and got his dorm number, and flew (literally) back 'home'. Classes would be starting in a few days, so I had to get textbooks and things. I slipped under the blankets and quickly fell into a comforting, resting sleep.

***

I slowly woke, the sun glaring into my eyes as normal. I stretched, feeling the air in the room, much warmer now. I rested my head again for a few minutes before getting up.

Then it hit me.

In such a short amount of time, so much had changed.

Here's the list (from what I remember.): I was no longer living with Rainbow Dash, (big one), I wasn't living in an actual house now, I now knew Vadorous again, I knew Vinyl the very popular DJ/dubstep artist/whatever, my depression worsened, and I was now going to classes, and had responsibilities. Whew.
I sat down at my computer, jumping straight to my email. I had two new emails, one from Vadorous, and another from Rainbow Dash. Dashie first, I thought.

"Trivium, I've got a BIG surprise for you next month."

Really short, kind of a let-down. But what was the surprise?"

"Any hints?" I replied.
Now for Vadorous'.

"Hey Triv, just sending this to make sure I've got the right email."

Lame. I was hoping to find something exciting going on today, but so far, nothing.

I moved on to looking for textbooks, online. The internet is awesome that way.
