The Demon: Part 1, As If It Never Happened

It had been about 3 weeks since I ended up in the hospital, and almost three years now since I got here. I was almost fully recovered, but there I was, still in that hospital bed.
"It's a miricle you even survived, let alone opened your eyes!" my doctor told me. "I was afraid of telling your friends you might not make it! How in Celestia's name did you pull it off?"
"I hate to tell you this, but I'm as clueless as you are." I frowned
"Well, if you need anything, let me know." he said. Just before he left, I remembered something.
"Hey doc."
"Yes?"
"Could you try to see if Rarity could come here? I would like to see her." He smiled.
"Of course." and with that, he left.
*Thirty Minutes Later*
"You have a guest!" My doctor told me.
"Alright, bring 'em in" I told him.
"Hello dear! I'm sorry it took so long, I needed to finish making a few dresses." said that beutiful voice that i could pick from a crowd in New York.
"Its fine." I told her "Hey doc, could we have a minute alone, please?"
"Of course." With that, he left, closing the door behind him.
"Rarity, I'm sorry for getting you into this mess." I told her
"What do you mean, dear?" she asked, clearly confused.
"I mean Gavara and Barron. Those two only wanted to fight me because I had beaten Crysillis. They wanted nothing to do with you. all you were to them was bait. Bait to get me to fight them. if it wasnt for me, they wouldnt have-" I was interrupted by a hoof pressing against my mouth.
"No need to appologize, dear. But thank you." and with that, she moved her hoof and put her lips together and came close to my face-
I awoke from my sleep from the blinding rays of light from the sun
"I now know what its like to be Spike sometimes." I thought to myself.
"Morning, Mason!" spoke a voice
"Speak of the devil." I muttered
"What?" asked Spike.
"Nothing."
"Umm...ok. Hey, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Did you really turn into a dragon?"
"Yea. It would have probably been nice, if I hadn't been so mad." I told him. that actually wasn't far from the truth. I wold have probably been so excited, it would have made Pinkie seem like the most depressed pony in all of Equestria.
"Well, once you get out of here and stuff, do you think you could, like, show me how to do that?" I was baffled by the dragon's question. I smirked
"Wish I could, bud. Problem is, I don't even know how I did it, let alone tell you how to do it. But I can tell you one thing, though."
"What?"
"Trust in your own abilities, no matter what. All your life, you've used your fire to send stuff to Celestia and back. But you know what? It would'nt surprise me if, in about 10 years or so, you'll be able to use it like most dragons. just remember that."
"I will."
"Alright."
After a day or two, the doctors had me out of there, and told me to watch my roughousing. But I still slowly began to train after a few days. But, no matter how hard I tried, I could never seem to do the transformation that I had done a month prior. Thankfully, Discord had gotten a place while I was in the hospital, so I had the house to myself again. One day, after I had finished my daily training, I noticed an envelope on my table. It was yellow, and about the size of a soda can. I opened it up, only to find a nifty little card inside. when I opened it up, I read it out loud.
"Dear Somepony Special,
Reality set in when I first met you,
A day without you seems incomplete.
Right and just,
I have a liking towards such qualities.
There are a few stallions who lack those abilities,
You beat them in everything, for you are perfect.
A Special Somepony"
I was just about to set the card down, when something caught my eye. I looked at the card again.
"Huh. The first letter in each column spells 'RARITY.' Strange." I set the card in a safe place for later, then I sat down and read the most recent newspaper. Nothing much was in it, though, aside from the fact they put in that on that day, I arrived here. After I read the article about it, I tried to imagine what Earth was like. I mean, it must have been, what, a billion years in Earth time? I sighed, and looked at the clock. It was around 7 P.M, but I didn't really care much. Even back at home, I never really went to sleep untill around nine.
"Well, I hope that this doesn't go bad." I hoped to myself. I mean, I don't enjoy fighting, its just what I do. what I do to protect Equestria...
*The Next Day*
I woke up at my usual time, did my routine, and got the mail. I decided it was best to just rest. After all, what could one day off of training possibly do, right? Well, fate had other plans.
"Who's there?" I asked, after hearing a knock at my door.
"It's me, Twilight! You might want to read this letter!" I walked over to my door, and opened it up to see Twilight, with Spike at her side. She gave me a rolled up scroll using her magic. I opened it up and read it.
"To my faithful student Twilight,
I wish to see Mason for a few things. If you could please, send him to Canterlot.
Sincerrely, Princess Celestia."
"Ok, lets go." I told Twilight
"Ok..." she said. She sounded more concerened than normal, though.
"Hey, you alright?" I asked.
"Yea, I'm fine. It's just that everything has been so crazy lately, you know?"
"Yea, I know."
*Canterlot Castle*
"Your Majesty," I said, upon entering Celestia's Room "I have arrived."
"Thank you for coming on such a short notice. It has come to my attention. Now, I need you to understand that the question I am about to ask may seem crazy, but is very important."
"Of couse. Ask away."
"Would you like to return to Earth? I may be able to make it to the time of which Discord sent you here."
"Return...to Earth?" I asked
"Yes." I went into deep thought of it all. Coming to Equestria had been the best thing of my life. However, Earth Is where i was born. I didn't belong here. I should have never came here. I should have stayed on Earth. But just before I could answer Celestia's question, I realized that if I left, I would be going back to my life where everything I did was in vain.
"I would like to stay." I told her "My friends and family might be worried, but I'm a hero to these ponies."
"I see. In that case, I wish to give you something for the long road ahead." Celestias horn began to glow. I felt something in my hand. I opened it up to find a necklace. At the end of it, there was something that seemed to be a dragon claw. I put it on, and suddenly felt like the strongest and smartest being in all of Equestria.
"That Necklace contains some of my powers. I am sure that you will use it better than I ever could."
"Umm, thanks. Is that all you needed?" I asked
"Yes. You may go now." The next thing I knew, I was in Ponyville.
*Everfree Forest*
A dark-green mass slithered across the Everfree Forest floor, almost exactly like a snake. It didnt take long for it to reach its destination. The Ruins, where Nightmare Moon had been defeated. The mass re-shaped itself to a human like state.
"That took long enough. Now..." the being shot out a green light almost similar to a searchlight's out of its eyes. Soon, the being found what he was looking for. It grabbed a handle that normaly, nopony wold've noticed, and pulled opened a secret passage-way. Or atleast, it WAS a secret passage-way. The being transformed into a mass of green mass, similar to a falcon. It flew down the passage-way, untill it reached the end, which was a room that seemed brand new. the mass returned to its human-like shape.
"Now, where did they...Ah-ha!" The being approached a glass crate. inside it, was a black amulet that had two wings and a unicorn head with a red eye, with a jewel in the center of the same color.
"The Alicorn Amulet, you precious piece of evil's merchandise. How and who created you will always be a mystery to me. But now, your power will be MINE!" The being stuck out a finger shaped object that soon became a dark-green mass, and it slowly passed through the glass, as if it wasnt even there, and it touched the red gem in the center of the amulet. When it did, red sparks shot out in every direction, but they soon faded. And when they did, The amulet had been become nothing but a white rock in the same shape. the being, however, seemed to have a red aura coming from its eyes instead of a green one.
"Now that that's overwith, I am sure I can take the power from the Elements of Harmony." "After all," The being thought "They ARE one of the reasons Gavara and Barron lost. And then taking out that 'Mason' character will be as easy as cybernetic-pie." The being transformed into a dark-red mass and vanished almost instantlly.
