The Great and Powerful Trixie vs Arbok

The unicorn stood up and looked around her.

"Where am I?" she shouted, "Trixie demands to know!"

Discord laughed, "you're not going to be here for long!"

"Discor-" Trixie was interrupted as the draconequus clicked his fingers and she was gone in an instant

Trixie stumbled up from a nap and checked her surrounding. She was in a field, but it seemed somewhat dead. The grass was browning and the trees had grey bark, but were still blooming with pink fruits.

"Where has Discord sent me?" Trixie asked herself out loud.

She looked around a little more. There wasn't much around her but a thin stream and a large rock, but something about the rock bugged her. She looked closer and focused. She could hear a faint hissing sound.

She stood forward somewhat nervously, "who's there? Show yourself to Trixie!"

Atop of the rock, a small purple wiggle curled over from the back of the rock. Trixie laughed mockingly, "oh! Just a snake?" her horn developed a pink aura, as did the purple slither, "you almost had Trixie worried!"
Trixie brought up the slither and it revealed more of itself. It got wider as she pulled it upwards. Trixie became curious and pulled it all the way up then screamed.

It was what looked like a giant cobra. It had a menacing red and yellow pattern on its stomach which looked like intimidating eyes. Trixie recoiled slightly at the sight of them and her hooves became shaky. The head was outstretched, eyes blaring out of its head and sharp teeth poking out of its lips.

Trixie screamed again at the sight of it and threw it back with her magic. It screeched as it flew through the air, "CHAAAAAARBOK!" then curved round to face Trixie and landed on the ground.
It then slithered towards her with great increasing speed. Trixie was terrified and trotted backwards, but bumped into the rock. The snake-creature then stopped as it got in front of her and it towered above to twice of Trixie's height, looking her dead on in the eyes. The creature's eyes widened and became more menacing every second.

Suddenly, Trixie found that her bones were frozen up. She couldn't move. This Glare had completely paralyzed her. The snake then stretched backwards slowly and darted towards Trixie, baring its huge and sharp teeth. Trixie screamed and, uncontrollably, her horn unleashed a magical blast. The blast exploded on collision with the creature's chest and sent it flying backwards into a tree. Trixie managed to move slowly now, but occasionally her bones would stiffen up and stop moving. She made slow pace forward, seeing what had happened to the snake. It sat there staring at her again, hissing, but it didn't move. It was hurt too.

Trixie thought for a moment and remembered a spell she had learnt before. She closed her eyes and focused what of her magic she could. Her horn glowed with a faint pink aura and her hooves became less tense. Quickly enough, her paralysis was completely gone.

"Detox spell!" she giggled, "now do your worst, snake," Trixie taunted, scraping her hoof along the ground and channeling magical energy to her horn.

"ARRRRBOK!" the snake creature screeched, launching itself towards Trixie.

The unicorn caught it with a levitation spell and spun it around, then flung it towards the rock behind her. She laughed, "too easy!"

She turned around, "looks like not even a giant snake can match up to the honest ability of the Great and Powerful-OOF!"

The snake had smashed itself into her and she went flying, then crashed into the tree. It was sat towered over her again. She couldn't move since its lower tail was coiled around her back hooves and the upper tail was crushing her body. It lunged at her and she screamed as loud as she could as it dug its fangs into her shoulder, instantly piercing her skin and sinking deep towards the bone. Blood trickled out not only because the hole was open, but because it was now overflowing as another substance filled her body. Along with the overflowing crimson blood came a deep purple liquid. Trixie didn't see this though. She was only screaming in pain. The snake finished its attack and moved up from Trixie's shoulder, licking her blood and its own venom from its lips.

Strangely, Trixie was half pretending to be helpless in that moment. The snake did not notice that her horn and itself had began to glow pink. Trixie, half grunting at the pain she had just endured, lifted the snake up with a levitation spell and wrapped its tail around a thick branch of the tree, then tied it up in a knot. The large snake could only swing back and forth to try and attack Trixie, yelling "ARBOK" over and over.

Trixie half-whispered, "Arbok...that seems to be all you can say....well for now I'll just refer to you as that," then she flinched downwards in pain.

She looked at her shoulder and saw the tricking purple liquid. She then looked up at Arbok.

"P-poison?" she gasped, "no matter. I'll just use another detox spell."

She built up magic energy again and used the spell, but it didn't work. The poison was too powerful for her magic. Trixie felt herself slowly getting weaker. She stepped up to the Arbok and growled.

"You...did this to...me," she then built up a magical charge in her horn and unleashed a blast at the Arbok, causing it to swing back on the branch, "I'm....gonna...defeat you....before....this....poison....kills me!"

Her eyes quickly flashed white and a bigger blast than Trixie could use normally released itself from her horn and struck the Arbok. It spun around on the branch all the way, hitting off one of the fruit on the tree. It just lay there after that, knowing it couldn't do anything to save itself. Trixie then fell to the floor and closed

"I...can't believe...I got killed by...a...mesely...sn-ULP!" the fruit fell right into Trixie's mouth and she swallowed it whole mid-word.

Then, she felt herself becoming less weak. She could stand up again. She felt a tingling in her hoof under the bite where the poison had been injected, almost as if it was fizzling away. She giggled sweetly at the sensation, then blushed as she saw the Arbok still looking.

"Looks like that fruit cured my poisoning...now I better deal with you!"

Feeling a little cocky, Trixie untied Arbok from the branch, but held it in the air still, and broke the branch from the tree and swung at Arbok like a baseball.

The snake screeched as it flew through the air, "CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR," then fell into the large rock, destroying some of it with the force of the impact, knocking the Arbok out cold as it fell to the dry ground.

Trixie stomped her hooves on the ground in victory, "that'll show you that nobody messes with Trixie!"

Then, above Arbok, a circle of light appeared. The light faded away to reveal a spherical object. Red on top and white on the bottom with a black ring around the middle and a button on at the center of the ring on one part of the ball. It opened up and Arbok glow red, then turned into energy and was absorbed into the ball. It closed and dropped to the floor.

Before she could even breathe, Trixie was swallowed by a flash of light.

Trixie found herself in a completely white plain. There seemed to be no end to it. She then looked before her and saw the ball that had consumed Arbok. She trotted up to it and it opened, Arbok came out. It stood in front of Trixie and she yelped, but looked again. It was not standing over her like before. It had coiled its tail to be the same height as her and seemed to be smiling.

"What?" Trixie gasped, seeing that it wasn't attacking. She then heard a sharp ring from behind her. She turned around and saw Discord. He was stood looking at her with some consideration.

"So you conquered the Pokémon..." he said.

"The Pokémon?" Trixie echoed angrily, "get explaining, clustershuck!"

Discord laughed, "now now Trixie. I'll tell you whatever you need to know."

He walked and stood next to Arbok.

"Trixie, this is Arbok. It is no ordinary snake as you can probably tell. In fact, it's a Pokémon."

Trixie immediately butted in, "and what is a Pokémon?"

"In short; it's a creature with elemental powers. This Arbok happens to have a specialty in poison."

"I noticed," Trixie commented, looking at the scar on her shoulder which had seemed to close up.

"Since you defeated Arbok, by my rules you have now befriended it. You'll be in this place so you can train it."

"Train it?"

"Pokémon are meant to fight. It's in their nature. Now, this is the Plain of Imagination, a land I created. It has the power to create anything your heart desires. Except for a way home because that just wouldn't be fair for me! You'll have to learn to hone Arbok's skills and command it in battle."

"And why exactly would I want to do that?" Trixie sighed. She was getting bored.

"Pokémon work best when they have someone commanding them for battle, telling them what to do. Soon, you and some other ponies will be using your Pokémon to battle a greater threat as a team."

"And why are you doing this?!"

Discord laughed, snapped his fingers, then disappeared in a flash.

"Because it's fun," his voice echoed, "I like to see you all suffer."

Trixie turned to Arbok, who nodded. Trixie concentrated on her thoughts and a dummy of a pony suddenly erupted from the ground. Trixie had figured out how this world worked and was ready to fight for her own survival.
