//------------------------------// // Moving In // Story: Power of the Song // by Authora97 //------------------------------// Sabrina I continued throwing snowballs with the ponies for a while. I saw three that looked like boy version of the CMC and some background ponies but that didn't really stand a chance against someone who can make it snow in Texas in July. Bubble and I were throwing snowballs at ponies left and right. It was much easier for me seeing how I would be able to duck whenever a snowball head my way or I would redirect it back at them. After a long snowball fight it was down to Bubble and me and ponies gathered up on the sidelines. We were having a staring match, holding a snowball and preparing to throw. “So it all comes down to this Bubble.” I said, using every fiber of my being to keep from smiling. He looked like he had the same problem. “Yep, all that’s left to do if throw this snowball at your face.” Bubble said, almost laughing twice. “Alright-y then. Let’s do this.” Both snowballs were thrown in the air. Using my magic I made the two come together and head straight back to Bubble. He was thrown back as the ball hit his face, the started laughing, “That was awesome!” Bubble yelled. Soon all the other ponies came out to see who won. Gasps came when they found out it wasn’t Bubble. I didn’t take it heart, I was too busy feeling the rush of saying I beat Pinkie Pie, err her male counterpart (This is getting a little confusing) in a snowball match. “Somepony beat Berry Bubble at a snowball fight? How in tarnation did that happen?” A little southern voice asked. “Easy, any fight I start I win.” I answered, turning to see the CMC. Apple Bloom looked about the same, except instead of a giant pink-red bow sat a pink-red baseball hat placed backwards on a mane of bright red. The butter yellow coat on a colt that didn’t get past my knees was cute in a little kid way. Sweetie Belle seemed the same too. His curls were a little straighter and less girly. Same pink and purple hair, same green eyes, just less filly. Scootaloo looked almost the same, just like his two friends, but more of a colt. Hair was cut just the same and the eyes were only missing girly lashes. “Nice to meet ya’ll, my name’s Sabrina.” I held out a hand, Sweetie Belle took it first. “My name’s Silver Belle, this is my friend Apple Buck and Scooteroll.” I shook the other hooves, smiling. Bubble came up right next to us. “Hey CMC’s, have you met Sabrina? She’s new but not new new she’s actually been here nine days and that means I’m nine days late on her party and I can’t let that stand so I have to go get planning. That snowball fight was really fun bye!” Bubble vanished. “Okay,” I said towards the area Bubble once stood. I looked back to the Crusaders with only a slightly confused face. “Don’t worry. That’s just Berry being Berry.” Apple Buck said. “How did you beat the King of Snowball Fights?” Scooteroll asked me, still shocked apparently. “Like I said, I never start a snowball fight I can’t win. That and where I’m from I’m known as the Queen of Snowball fights. Bubble didn’t stand a chance.” Looking around, I noticed, or lack of noticing, a lavender stallion unicorn. “Have any of you seen Dusk around? Silver Belle nodded. “Dusk, oh yeah. At the beginning of the fight he headed back to the library. Why?” The little colt asked. “I’m staying with until I find a place for myself. That and I’m fixing his roof.” I told them. “I kinda crash into when I came here." “Oh, well we can show ya the way ifn ya need it?” Apple Buck asked. Trying to find any plants, I found quite a few. “I think I got it. See you later Crusaders.” I cheered as I ran off towards where the plants were telling me the library was. Dusk I stormed into the library at almost full gallop, nearly knocking over Spines. “WOW! Easy Dusk, where’s the fire?” Spines asked me. “SorrySpinesit’sjustthatSabrinadecidedtostayherewhichmeansthatshe’sstayinghereandthatmeansweneedtocleanupeverythinggotitgood.” I spoke at Berry Bubble speeds. Running upstairs I quickly began cleaning a place for Sabrina. “Sabrina is staying here?” Spines asked, finally understanding my sentence. “Uhuh.” I replied. *KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK* ”Dusk, you in there? How did she get here so quickly? “I followed the plants and they told you me you ran in here panicked.” I heard a groan. "Fine, Spines open this door!" Sabrina yelled. “Hey Sabrina, Dusk just told me you were staying here. Is it true?” Spines asked her. Solaris help me. Looking towards the door I saw Sabrina walk in, bringing a little snow in with her. Snow “Yeah it is. I thought it would be the least I could do after I heard about the roof-WOAH!” Sabrina yelled finally seeing the whole. The hole was kinda big, I had placed a tarp over it to keep things fro falling in and the repair stallions were coming tomorrow to fix it. We did what we could. “No wonder this tree was in such pain. I had no idea I did that.” Sabrina said as she ran up to the wall of the library. “Now let’s see what I can do.” “What are you-?” I began to ask but stopped after seeing Sabrina use her powers. Her eyes glowed light green. Her mane almost grew twice in length and straightened. The area she was touching began to glow the same color as her eyes and swirled up towards the hole. As it drew closer it started slowing down, like something was stopping it. “Come on, just let me help.” Sabrina pleaded. Then, in a bright flash, the hole was gone and Sabrina was back to her old self. Her glowing eyes faded away first. “Dusk, your tree is about as stubborn as Blitz.” She laughed. “She also says to stop staying up so late, trees needed more sleep than you think. Spines and I just stared at her. “Didn’t your mother tell you it was impolite to stare young man! I mean clot!” “What, huh, how, how did, Sabrina, how did you do that?” Spines muttered. “I’ve been doing it for as long as I can remember Spines. It shouldn’t be too shocking I mean you live with Dusk Shine.” “What does that mean?” I asked angrily. Sabrina realized her wording, but didn’t seem sorry about it. She looked like she had done something stupid. “Uh, read about you in a book. At the hospital, yeah, that and ah the tree told me...” “You believe what a tree tells you?” I asked, again angry. “Of course I do. Especially if that tree might one day save my ass. It needs to know I trust it with my life. If my life is in her or his branches then, after proving my trust, it will protect me. Isn’t that right big Treespines?” Sabrina asked, brushing the walls of the library. “You named it?” Spines asked. “Why would anypony name a tree?” “Why would anypony live in a tree?” Sabrina asked. She had a point. “I didn’t name her. She says that was the name she was given once she got big enough. Right?” Sabrina looked up towards the roof, as though looking for a sign she got the story correct. “So first you have plant powers, powers over snow and now you can jus-“ “How did you know about my winter powers?” Sabrina asked shocked. I was for some reason angry with her. Why was I so angry at such a beautiful creature? “I saw you during the snowball fight! You weren’t exactly being subtle about it!” I shouted. “No reason to shout Dusk. So I withheld a little information about what I can do, that doesn’t mean you can go yelling at people. Especially people who were pushed out of her home by her mother for reasons she doesn’t know!” She shouted, but looked like she immediately regretted it. “Your own mother did that to you? I’m so sorry Sabrina.” Spines said. Before I could even get a whole word out Sabrina was out the door. Her multi-colored eyes brimming with tears.
