Well today was a pretty great day, I'm really tired though so I don't think this will be very long entry but whatever I'm still gonna write, I'm quite enjoying making these.
Anyways I woke up to sound of knocking on my door. When I looked outside though it wasn't even light yet. I opened the door and found Applejack standing there. She wanted me to help out at her apple farm, said that Applebloom told her I was looking for work. I was really tired and annoyed from being woke up ,and I wasn't so sure of the idea, but with as little money as I had, I really couldn't refuse. But hey I at least got free breakfast. That was pretty awesome and the food tasted amazing! We then headed outside. Now this alone probably wouldn't be worth mentioning, but right outside was the funniest thing. The side of her barn had a sun and a picture of Pinkie's face on it, it just looked so out of place it was funny. I pointed it out in a half statement, half question sorta way. She then explained that Pinkie had painted it,and she wasn't happy with it. I silently wondered why she hadn't just put another coat of red over it, but I kept that to myself. I didn't want to make it sound like I was implying she was stupid.
After that she asked me to help her buck about half of the apple tree's in a small section section of the orchard. Or at least it was small compared to the rest of the orchard. The entirety of just that part looked like 200 or so apple tree's, luckily I only had to do half. But still 100 apple tree's is still A LOT of apple tree's to buck, especially when you hardly know what you're doing. I know applebucking doesn't seem that hard but it is. I probably looked like a total idiot bucking those tree's. I fell on my face. I missed the tree. I had to kick the tree a million times before the apple's fell off, only to have them fall on my head. I had the apple's miss the buckets and have to pick them all up by myself. It... it was just a horrible way to start the day. I am definitely never doing that again, I just don't understand how applejack does that every. single. day. There has got be some secret trick to it that she ain't showing me.
Well anyways after we were done working, she introduced me to her brother Big Macintosh. It was really awkward though, all he said was yup. I hope I don't run into him too much. After finishing the job I headed into town with 50 extra bits in my bag. When I got there it was already afternoon but it felt like bedtime. Well I guess I had been bucking...or at least attempting to buck apple tree's since like 4 in the morning. I slowly walked into town. Despite my tiredness I was anxious to find something fun to do. After all I hadn't had much of a chance to do that yet, with all the work of getting settled into a new town. I was so happy I would of trotted or something but I was tired and sore....and still am.
I walked and walked trying to think of something to do other then walk. Then some random pony slammed into me!( that's seriously starting to happen a lot... and it's getting annoying) she apologized but ran off as soon as she could! I think she said something about humans? I'm still not sure I heard that right, I wonder what she was talking about. I mean nopony ever talks about humans, their the evilest creatures on earth! Unless she's worried about them coming here, but that, that's just ridiculous. Or actually I guess it isn't. Humans have attacked us since the beginning of this land, only recently did they stop for some unknown reason. “gasp” What if their planning a huge surprise attack to capture us all!....... Well I'm probably just worrying over nothing, I mean the princesses got it covered.....right?
Well anyways after that another pony named Bon Bon came up to me and apologized for her friends behavior (at least I'm guessing that was her friend) she then offered me a piece of candy for free! she said she made it at her candy shop. It was one of my favorite kinds too, a chewy caramel type candy. Well she didn't actually get a chance to tell me the flavor but you could tell. I definitely will take her up on her offer of visiting her candy store sometime. Actually....i never asked her where exactly it was. Gah I'm so stupid, I really wanted to visit there. “sigh” I'm sad now.
Well anyways after that I went back to wondering what to do, then a Pegasus with a rainbow colored mane and tail,(I wish I had a mane like that, it looked so awesome!) told me that I should go see the air show of Rainbow dash.....before telling me that she was Rainbow dash. I really hate braggarts, but she did seem pretty cool, so I guess she still has a pretty good chance of being my friend. We then flew up to some clouds and she asked me if I had seen the Wonderbolts preform. I told her that I saw them at flight school a couple times. Her face then lit up, she said that I was in her class. Not sure if I was, but I’ll take her word for it. I don't really want to think about flight school. Too many bad memories.
She then took to the air and showed me her tricks. She had some pretty awesome tricks, but she wasn't actually that good. She was insanely fast, but seemed quite reckless. Her speed was still sooo impressive though. I only wish I could be that fast. Just when I was gonna congratulate her though, she crashed. Somehow I knew, that would happen. Luckily though She wasn't too badly hurt. She then begged me to not tell anypony. Of course I would never be that mean so I promised her I wouldn't. She then went back to bragging about how she was Ponyvilles's hero and she didn't want to crush anyone's vision of that. (Actually.... forget what I said earlier, her chances of being my friend are pretty slim.) Pinkie then showed up out of nowhere and said that she needed Rainbow's help with something. I stood there for a moment, trying to grasp what just happened. After a minute I was still baffled. (my brain was clearly on off today) I shock my head to try and clear my non-existent thoughts, and headed back home.
I slowly flew to my home taking it all in, it was just so beautiful at nighttime! I still love nighttime, it's my favorite time. Just flying through the brisk air, looking at the beautiful world below me. If I wasn't so tired I would've gone for a flight over the park or something. Now I'm sitting on my bed in my fuzzy cozy warm little blanket writing this.
Well overall it was quite an interesting day today. Not as fun as I had hoped, but I still did have a good day, well at least a good half a day. Hopefully tomorrow will go better, and I won't be so sore. Anyways I’m extremely tired and sore from applebucking, so I’m gonna go ahead and get to bed.
