September 21 2012
Well today was the day, the day I arrived in my new home in Ponyville. My day was okay I guess, definitely didn't start out well through. My day started with me having another one of my nightmares. I don't remember what happened, but I probably don't want to. The question is why? Why have I been getting these nightmares? I’ve went my entire life without a single nightmare and now all of a sudden I'm getting them quite frequently. It's really been bothering me to say the least, and I just don't understand whats causing them.
Well anyways its probably best to not dwell on the past. After I woke up from my nightmare we were just arriving in Ponyville. Looking out the window it looked like a pretty nice town, if not a bit small. After adjusting to the brightness I began to head towards town hall. (And my friends wonder why I hate trains. Seriously who would like them, they're always late, they're super dark,and they have nothing to do for fun, if it weren't such a long trip I would’ve just flown here)
I looked around as I walked Ponyville really did look like a nice place to live, and the weather was just perfect today too. I defiantly didn't and still don't regret my decision to move here. I soon got caught up in my own daydreaming world as I walked along. I tried to get my mind off how little money I had, how I was going to find a job, how I was going to meet new friends, and all the other little things that troubled me. However my mind kept wandering back to those little things. My stomach then growled, I stopped for a moment. How in the world was I gonna have enough money for food, I mentally yelled. I felt so stupid for trying to move when I knew my little bitty house wouldn't get me much money. Suddenly a loud shout shot me out of my daydreaming land, and back into reality. I shot back onto my hind legs, almost taking to the air, before noticing the little filly in front of me. I mentally scolded myself for getting so caught up in my thinking that I didn't notice her. She said her name was Applebloom and asked me if I wanted to buy some apples. I kinda felt bad saying no to that sweet little face. But with as little money as I had, I didn't really have any other choice. She didn't seem to mind though. I was about to leave when a cute mare named Applejack walked up to me. She guessed that I was new ( I didn't think it was that obvious), and when I told her that I was, she gave me free apples! Said it was a welcoming gift.
A little bit of my doubt was erased. Seriously how could you think it was a bad idea to move somewhere when a perfect stranger gives you free food? Well anyways with my spirits brightened a little and some yummy food to feed my growling tummy I continued on. However It didn't take long till a light pink mare ran into me. It really startled me, not because I was scared..... well okay partly because of that, but mostly because I almost choked on my apple. Now I expected her to apologize for ramming into me.( I even apologized first, when, now thinking back on it, I probably didn't need to) Instead though she started talking at a mile per minute. I think she said her name was Pinkie and something about me being new and how excited she was to meet somepony new. I'm not sure I remember all of what she said, but I remember some.( although for as fast as she was talking it was hard to even understand her in the first place!) she then asked my name, but ran off before I could say it. I couldn't help but feel a little insulted, however I kept that to myself. She was a pretty cute mare after all.
Well after those two encounters I finally got to town hall. When I got there the receptionist was nice enough to mark the for sale houses on a map. There were 3 houses. One was by the river and looked quite calm and relaxing. The next was in the middle of town, it was even 2 stories. However I don't think I could of afforded a house that was 2 stories. Besides I didn't really want to live in the center of town, not much privacy. Then there was the last house, it was by the forest and had lots of pretty flowers around it. however it did have a warning symbol on the map about the forest. I never really got a chance to ask about that. Oh well maybe I'll get a chance tomorrow.
After looking at the house, I went back to town hall, I had decided that I wanted the forest house. After all who wouldn’t want a house surrounded by pretty flowers. I expected to not be able to afford it, but instead I got it for ONLY 1700 BITS!!!! That is seriously cheap for a house, granted I kinda got lucky since the normal price was 2100 bits. The only reason I got it for 1700 was because there housing market has been in decline. But still I ain't gonna complain. After that I headed back home. Then when I got there I realized I didn't get a bed. It was too late however to get one, so tonight I guess I'll be sleeping on my saddle bags.
Well anyways that was my day, quite an interesting day to say the least. Maybe this wasn't a bad decision.... at this point though I just don't really know. Well I’m getting really tired so I guess I’ll just finish this up, here's hoping I won't have another nightmare.
