Interview #4: Lyra Heartstrings

Cue holiday themed music...

Starlight and her enterouge begin to cheer and throw thier holiday themed hats into the air.

Hi everypony I am finally back from my mini vacation to Manehatten. Sorry for making all my fans wait so long for the next interview from now on I promise to post a new interview weekly. Also I wish all my fans out there a Happy Hearth's Warming Eve. Now continuing with my normal interview routine... Hi everypony Starlight Charmer here once agian to bring news and stroies to the ponies. A few week ago my interview with Fleur De Lis has proven to be quite a sucess and I finally managed to get my revenge. Fleur De Lis will probbaly not be having a Happy Hearth's Warming Eve. In fact Fleur will not be going out in public any time soon. Not after I replaced her tail and mane conditioner with green hair dye. Mwah ha ha, wait a sec... did I just evil laugh. Oh dear sweet Celestia I hope Trixie is not contagious. Oh by the way if your wondering about Trixie , let's just say she will be spending her Hearth's Warming eve in a special mental facility with pinkamena. I hope she somehow manages to live through that experiece. Surprisingly Pinkie Pie the happiest pony in Pony Ville has a breaking point. Now to get back on topic. Today due to the amount of requests I have recieved I will be interviewing Lyra Heartstrings. Also this will be a super special holiday-themed interview to give everyone a little holiday spirit.

Lyra is another already well known background pony and has a fanbase very similar to Derpy Hooves. Just like Derpy Hooves Lyra has some charataristics and make her stand apart from the rest. One of her trademark characteristics is when she was sitting on a bench in a human-like posture in episode 7 "Dragon Shy". This one appearance is what made Lyra noticible to the MLP fanbase and later on this inspired fans to make mini-comics, artwork ,and fanfiction showing Lyra doing all sorts of human-like things. Another thing that Lyra is well known for is her relationship with Bon-Bon. After being seen often with Bon-Bon in show fans have begun to put the two together in all sorts of relationships which has led to Lyra and Bon-Bon fan shipping. In most of the fan tributes dedicated to Lyra and Bon-Bon they are shown as best friends with Lyra being the odd and more outgoing one and Bon-Bon being the more reserved one. In some Fan Tributes they are also shown as a romantic couple, perfect strangers, and even siblings or cousins. Also due to Lyra's Lyre cutie mark people believe that she is associated with music so there have also been Octavia/Lyra pairings and Vinyl Scratch/ Lyra pairings, but Bon-Bon/ Lyra is the most popular pairing. Surprisingly Lyra's original name was Heartstring's , but due to fan popularity Hasbro has made Lyra her official name while making Heartstrings her last name. Lyra is also a member of the Background six. The Background six are a fan created group of background ponies that are supposed to be equal to the Mane six. The Background six includes: Derpy-Twilight, Octavia- Rarity, Doctor Whooves- Pinkie Pie, Vinyl Scratch- Rainbow Dash, Lyra- Fluttershy, and Bon-Bon- Applejack.

Twas the dawn Of
Hearth's Warming Eve
And all through the town
the ponies were shopping
For last minute presents to give out

The town was all decorated
By the pegasi with care
In hopes
to make this year
the best Hearth's Warming Eve ever

The children were practicing
For thier later carols
While visions of presents
pranced in thier heads

And Cheerilee with her bag
And the childern with candy,
Were busy handing out gifts
to the rest of the ponies

When out by the square
There arose such a fight
The ponies couldn't resist checking it out

Away to the square
ponies ran in ones and twos
The pegasi and
Unicorns were arguing once agian

This same argument happened
every single year
both species
wanted to know
who was more important

Then suddenly
The earth ponies joined the fray
Wanting everpony
to know
that they were just as special

The visiting reporter
So wise and calm
Gave a big yell
to grab everypony's attention

The reporter announced
That it dosen't matter
What species you are
or the part you play
The thing to remember
is that each pony is special in thier own way

As the reporter said this she named each of the mane six by name

Now Twilight
Now Rainbow Dash
Now Pinkie Pie
on Flutter Shy
on Apple Jack
And Rarity

To front of the tree
the group went
as they began to sing unified carols
Soon everypony joined in
making this a Hearth's Warming Eve to remember

And you must be wondering by now what happened to the reporter's interview.
Well after all the carols were sung Lyra showed up and decided to get the interview done right away.

Finally it's interview time that song was way too long and honestly it didn't even rhyme at all . If anyone had a problem with the holiday ponified song blame our editor Mariepam198.Well now to get down to business Lyra to start things off I want know what is your relationship with Bon-Bon? Are you friends or are the two of you dating ?

* begins to blush heavily* Wait what! What made you think that me are Bon-Bon are dating? Bon-Bon and I are just very close friends and ever since I met her we have become unseperable. She is like the peanut to my jelly ;3. The muffin to my derpy. My partner in crime if I ever decided to do anything illegal. I would continue on with this list , but you probbaly get the idea.

Are you sure about that? Don't you ever wish you could take your relationship a step further or you enjoy how things currently are between the two of you?

*Tries to hide the her face* No of course not I like the way things are between the two of us. Although if she ever wanted to take things a step further I wouldn't mind.....

Mariepam198 officially owes me 10 bits I knew Lyra felt this way ! *clears throat* Sorry I am getting back off topic arn't I well going on to the next question Is it true that a filly name Tootsie Flite is you and Bon-Bon's daughter Lyra? You and Bon-Bon have been depicted in fan art as Tootsie Flute's daughter and she kinda does look like you Lyra?

Where are you getting these questions from !? Like I said before Bon-Bon and I are friends our relationship does not go any further than that and we most certainly are not married and I don't have any children. Don't you know how child birth works? Bon-Bon and I are both females so it would be physically impossible for us to have a child together even if we wanted to! Can we please get off this topic I am getting tired of these Bon-Bon related questions

Ok ok Sorry don't attack the reporter attack the fanbase. Anyway moving on to another topic Why is it that you sit like a human? You have sat in this position so many times that you even have your own meme for it.

Wow really I have my own meme for it I didn't know that my position became popular. The reason I sit like this is, because I have a secret obsession for these mythical creatures called humans. They are so cool! They have these things called hands and they run on thier hindlegs which is very unique. One of my dreams is to someday find these humans and show them that I can be just like them. Who knows I might impress them so much that they might let me join thier herd.

* breaks out into spantenous laughter * Ha! Humans don't exist they are about as real as the seapony monster and the chupacabra. * continues laughing for a few minutes and then recovers* This is just what I needed a good laugh now back to this. Lyra I wanted to know how were you bouncing on a cloud during the episode "Sonic Rainboom" I mean you really are a unicorn right?

Well that depends on the day . You see sometimes I become a seapony usually it happens whenever It rains and most of the time I am a unicorn . Although there are some days when I become both which means I have both a tail and horn. While some times I become a pegasus this is very rare. Oh and about the cloud jumping thing Twilight taught me her walk on clouds spell and I used it on that day so I could get a front row seat to watch the sonic rainboom.

0-0 how is that even possible. Being able to change your type is fully impossible only an alicorn can do that. Wait is it possible that Lyra is an Alicorn? I'll go ask her later when the interview is over. Lyra I wanted to know, What is it like being a part of the background six?

Being a part of the background six is very cool and amazing. I enjoy being able to work with Bon-Bon, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, Doctor Whooves, and Derpy. They are the best friends any pony could ever want and I am very lucky to be a part of the group. Although I really don't know how I am the equivalent of Fluttershy I mean have you seen here she is so shy and barely speaks unless if it's to apologize. I am nothing like that! I am very outgoing and cool, If it were up to me I would be the equivalent of Rainbow Dash and Bon-Bon would take the role of Fluttershy.

Lyra I want you to be very truthfull with your answer for this question. Who is your least favorite out of the background six or who annoys you the most?

Well I don't necesarily want to say I don't ike her , but if I had to choose I would say Ocatvia annoys me the most. Sometimes Ocatavia can be so stuck up and rude when it comes to certain things and when I told her about my human theory she laughed at my face. Although Octavia has a kind and sweet side also and I admire her passion for classical music. She even managed to snag invitations for all of us to go to the Grand Galloping Gala! So all in all I like Ocatavia even though she can sometimes be borderline annoying.

"Guess we should end the interview here for tonight" I say while putting away my interview notes into my saddlebag

"But, why the timer didn't ring yet" Lyra says with a puzzled look

I look at her and point towards a huge grup of singing ponies " Don't you want to do some carroling with everyone else?"

Lyra's mouth breaks into a smile as she grabs onto my hoof and practically drags me to the tree
