Incongruentia: Evigilabit
The horn of King Sombra lay in the bottom of the ocean that separated Equestria from the Arctic North. Deeper than that was Malum's morale. It had travelled to Sombra's kingdom and slaves, only to be defeated once again, after one thousand years of waiting. The power of the crystal ponies and their crystal heart was simply too strong for it.
But it was still alive.
It knew the way to the very core of the planet by heart, and could travel their easily, due to the fact that it didn't have a body. It returned there and once again was a purple mist floating in the chamber.
Malum was not a pony, nor was it a being at all. Malum was a force of nature. Malum was the visual form of pure evil. It had formed a symbiotic relationship with King Sombra one thousand years ago. Sombra was so full of hate and vengeance, both weaknesses which made Sombra an easy target for Malum. Malum had used these weaknesses to access Sombra's heart, and teach him the way of Incongruentia, which is the path to Malum. When Sombra had truly mastered Incongruentia, He would become Malum.
After being defeated by love, the natural weakness of Incongruentia, Sombra retreated back down to the place where he became Malum, the very core of the planet. It was not going to give up after one lost battle. It was hatching a plan; a plan that would put the whole of Equestria, perhaps the whole planet, in its power. The entire world would become Malum. It it would become by using Incongruentia, the pathway to Malum. Either that, or it would suffer. Malum had fear on its side, and fear is the easiest way to control beings.
Malum connected one of its hazy tendrils to a round rock, another tendril to another rock, and so on until it was connected to the planet by six points. The world was now the puppet of Malum. It had the world by the six elements of Incongruentia:
Betrayal,
Depression,
Greed,
Dishonesty,
Cruelty,
and
Apathy.
