Chapter 6: 

Reactions


Everypony got a chair or just sat on the floor or on Fluttershy's couch. Rainbow Dash was about to talk but she realized she had no idea of what to say.She just stood there and waited for an idea to pop into her head when suddenly...

"Are you two dating or something?" Pinkie Pie had guessed it, but how? Neither of them had told anypony! Had she just noticed them acting different around each other? Did she somehow see them kissing? No, she must have just had a lucky guess. Rainbow Dash stepped forward and spoke.

"Yes Pinkie, we are-" *GULP* "we are dating. It's only been going on for two days now, but we had to tell somepony, and if we only told one of you, the word would spread to the rest and they would think we chose one over the other, 3. So, yes, we're dating."

Everypony, with Pinkie as an exception, was dumbfounded. They could not believe what had just happened. Twilight soon enough spoke up, breaking the silence.

"So, you two are dating? That's..." She was cut off by Rainbow Dash.

"Yes I know. It's wrong for two mares to be dating but, it just feels right." Rainbow Dash lowered her head and started walking into another room.

"No, that's not at all what I was saying! I was going to say, That's wonderful! I'm so glad you two are together!" Twilight had Rainbow Dash stop in her tracks and turn around, confused.

Rainbow Dash had started walking back and she noticed that Fluttershy was curled up on the floor, shielding herself with her pink mane. Rainbow Dash walked over and stood her up, taking her hoof and walking towards their friends.

"Thank you for not making fun of us. We- we were really hoping that you guys wouldn't judge us." Rainbow Dash looked to the other 4 hoping for a response from at least one of them, and AppleJack was the one.

"So, what in tarnation would make you think we would dislike y'all for dating somepony? It doesn't matter who it is, or what gender, but what matters is you're happy. Ans when you're happy, we're happy. Congratulations you two!" AppleJack wasn't the only one who thought that way though. Everypony was glad that the two best friends in ponyville are now dating! They even bent over backwards and planned a party that would hopefully have everypony in ponyville at it.

After a bit of congratulation hugs, the two pegasi ushered the others out of the house, but one would not leave. That pony, was Twilight Sparkle. After everypony left, Twilight was planning on having a short talk with them.

"Bye! See you all tomorrow! Okay, so Twi, what you wanna talk about?" Rainbow Dash asked her lavender unicorn friend.

"Well, the reason that I'm happy for you two isn't only because you two are two of my best friends, but also..." Twilight gulped down her fear, she was a bout to spill one of her biggest secrets that nopony, not even her own parents knew. "I-I..."

"You, what? Twilight, is there something you, um, want to tell us?" Fluttershy asked.

"Well, I... I used to date somepony who was... I used to date another mare." Twilight told them her secret and that's when jaws dropped. Neither Rainbow nor Fluttershy could believe this.

"So you used to date another mare? Well, what happened? Why aren't you dating anymore?" Rainbow dash wondered what her response would be.

"Well, the main reason is that I had to move here, and also, I didn't want anypony finding out that I like mares. So, her and I had to break up. She was a beautiful blue and white unicorn, actually, now that I think about it, she looked a lot like Rarity. Well, I thought that somepony was on to us dating, because I saw somepony I knew from Magic School while on a date with her and..." Twilight didn't have to finish her story. They all knew what she did. She had to leave her date and soon enough, moved to ponyville.

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy looked at each other and smiled. "Twilight, um, you didn't have to do that. If somepony that's your friend doesn't like you because you, uh, like the same sex, they were never really you friend, I think." Fluttershy replied to her friend's story. Then she looked at a clock on the wall and noticed that time flies by when telling secrets. "Oh dear, it's almost 9:00, wait, it has been, um, 4 hours?" Fluttershy seemed confused at this fact and ushered Twilight out of her house, leaving her and Rainbow alone.

"So Flutters, can I stay the night again?" Rainbow never received a verbal answer, instead a kiss from her marefriend. She spent the night, and Rainbow and Fluttershy both had dreams, but good ones.
