Chapter 2: New World, New Friend
THE NEXT MOURNING
After that night encounter with the mysterious figure, the next day, The Main 6 tells the princesses about the encounter with the sadistic pony figure, and how she took Twilight's crown away and ran with it to the mirror. They don't know who she is, fortunately, Twilight's teacher Princess Celestia, the ruler of Equestria, knows some information about the figure from the description and looks she was given.
"Sunset Shimmer." Celestia revealed, "A former student of mine, she began her studies with me not long before Twilight, but when she did not get what she wanted as quickly as she liked, she turned cool and dishonest." The Main 6 watched in awe at Celestia's explanation. A student for Celestia before Twilight, That something. "I tried to help her, but she eventually abandoned her studies and pursued her path, which sadly led her to steal your crown." Celestia makes a point about the robbing of Twilight's crown.
"She replaces Twilights. With this one." Spike added, he showed Princess Celestia the fake crown that Sunset made. Celestia examined the fake crown, "I suppose Sunset Shimmer thought you wouldn't notice right away that this is not yours, and by the time you did it would be too late to go after your crown and Element of Harmony." Celestia explained the plan of Sunset, with her walking to the front door.
Twilight catches up to Celestia, still questioning, "But, I don't understand. Where did she go in the mirror, where did she take the crown." Twilight questions apprehensively to Celestia. Celestia replied with an answer that was soothing enough, "You'll soon know more about this place even I do." They and the other ponies go to the place where Sunset has gone.
"This is no ordinary mirror." Said the Moon Princess, Princess Luna, "It is a gateway to another world. A gateway that opens, every 30 moons." the mysterious mirror is like a portal of some sort, that opens every thirty moons, which if we are not mistaken, 30 months
"Sparkly!" Said the pink confetti pony girl, Pinkie Pie when she touched the mirror as a joke. The Stern blue princess frowns on this act of Pink Pony, she immediately puts the party pink pony's hoove away from the mirror.
"It has always been kept in the throne room of Canterlot Castle." Luna said, "But when Princess Cadence took over The Crystal Empire, we sent it here for her to watch over."
The kind tall sun Princess sighed, "I had always hoped that Sunset Shimmer would someday use it to return." She said, "To come back to Equestria seeking my guidance. This is not what has happened."
The Main 6, and Spike, looked sorry for the wise angelic alicorn. Princess Cadance called out to Twilight, "Twilight. You must use the mirror to retrieve your crown in this other world." She said, "Without it, the other Elements Of Harmony have no power and Equestria is left without one of the most important means of defense."
Twilight nodded in agreement. The other fives, and spike, look at each other in concern. "Your crown does not belong in the place where Sunset Shimmer now calls home." Luna said, "And in her possession, you're Element of Harmony will no doubt be used to bring harm to this other realm. They will not have the power to defend themselves."
The White Mentor alicorn gave Twilight a bag for the adventure. "Do you understand the importance of your task?" She asked.
"Of course," Twilight responded.
"Good. Then you must go at once." The Angelic Mentor informs her.
The intelligent apprehensive alicorn took a deep breath and went to the mirror. But before that, she was intervened by Rainbow Dash blocking her path.
"Whoah, Whoah, Whoah!" She said, "She's goin', we goin' with her! Right girls?" Twilight friends stand proudly to one another with a look of confidence. It was made clear that they weren't going to let her go alone.
Pinkie Pie smiled widely, "OOOOH, I'm so nervecited!" She was thrilled, "You do realize that's not a real word, right?" Applejack asked.
Twilight smiled at her comfort friends, "I'm afraid I can't let you go." The Angelic Mentor Alicorn informed, Twilights and her friends, and Spike, were shocked by this statement.
"What?" The Blue cocky fast pegasus said, "Why not!?"
"Sending all of you could upset the balance of this alternate world." Celestia said, "Creating havoc that would make it impossible for Twilight to get the crown from Sunset Shimmer. This is something Princess Twilight must do alone."
"Time is the essence." The Moon's strict Princess informed, "On the third day when the moon reaches its peak in the night's sky, the gateway will close. And once it does, it will be another 30 moons before you will be able to use it return." She makes the image of the moon reaching its night peak, signaling the gateway is closed.
All of her friends cheer Twilight up to give her hope. Twilight tests the mirror out and the portal does react to it. She looks at her Alicorn mentor who simply nods, telling her that it's time.
Twilight retook a deep breath and went straight into the mirror. Everyone watches her as she enters the mirror with no worry, however, Spike is the one who worries the most. Out of desperation to protect Twilight, Spike dashed towards the mirror. The others noticed this and tried to stop him.
"SPIKE!" They exclaimed, "NO!" But it was too late, Spike entered the mirror and was sent to the other world. Everypony had a worried and shocked face. "Welp, there's goes our little friend." Rainbow Dash bluntly said.
LOCATION:???
Twilight was unconscious, she only saw darkness, she felt dizzy, and she felt pain in her body. She slowly gains consciousness and wakes up. Unexpectedly she heard a familiar dragon assistant voice.
"Uh, Twilight?"
The smart alicorn heard the voice and recognized it, "Huh? Spike, you are not supposed to" She turned to Spike, and shockingly spike wasn't a dragon but a dog.
"Spike? Are you a dog?" Twilight shockingly asked, Spike looked at himself and Twilight was correct, he saw himself as a dog.
"I think so." Spike said, "But I have no idea what you are?"
At first, Twilight didn't know what Spike meant by 'what you are', But when she checked her hooves, there we no hooves. Instead, she only saw her hands, 5 finger hands. The intelligent princess couldn't comprehend this, she screamed with fear and shock for about 4 seconds. She closed her mouth afterward.
She felt uncomfortable and weird with her new hands, when she moved her fingers it felt even more uncomfortable, and cringe to see and feel. She was processing her new body or getting used to it. Spike on the other hand is just seeing her going crazy in her new body. He's not that weirded out of his form but he is concerned for Twilight.
"Twilight, you have to get it together." Spike reaffirmed to Twilight. Twilight took a deep breath to get rid of her nervousness and fear, and let it out. "What does the rest of me look like?" The magic princess asked.
"Um, like you. Only not you." Spike informs, "Your muzzle's pretty small."
Twilight was stunned, "MY MUZZLE!" she checked on her muzzle and it was indeed small. The book Smart Pony or Person begins to panic and is about to scream but Spike manages to stop her in time.
"Are you gonna scream again?" Spike asked, The smart 'pony' shook her head.
They look around the new world they now are in, the world is similar to their world but also drastically different in terms of structure and nature. The building is slim down, with more aligned windows and doors, and has a more curvy rooftop, unlike their world's rooftop. There's also nature, which has more short grass than long grass. There's also a short amount of trees, to let the daily people go by their day. The people also wear clothes, usually on their only the fancy ponies wear clothes to differentiate themselves from other ponies, in this world, all the people wear clothes, although they still have different styles to differentiate themselves from others.
"Where are we?" Spike asked, looking towards the town.
"I don't know, but that must serve as the gateway to Equestria." Twilight tests the statue where she came is still working, and it is.
Twilight rethinks her senses, "We need to find my crown as soon as possible and get back there." she said.
"And do you have a guess where it is? " Spike informed.
Spike made a point, how are Twilight and him gonna find the crown if they don't even know where it is? She looked around her environment and pointed at something, "I think, it's in there!" she said.
The thing she is pointing at is a big rectangular-like building. It has many windows that are aligned from left to right. Its structure looks like a castle in some cases, there are horse statues on the top and at the entrance door.
"Well, whatever you say, I'm in," Spike said, she got on Twilight's back and they began running towards the big place, but they walked in their usual pony posture so it's weird.
However, while sort of running towards the building, Twilight steps on something. The book reader quickly stops running. looks down on what she has stepped on.
"Why did you stop running?" Spike asked. He looks down at what Twilight's eyesight is focused on
It was a book, a thin-page book, a book that was pink and not to mention had a weird title.

The Book Girl had never seen such a weird title for a book, why does it have so many x and what does 18+ even mean? She would assume it's for ponies that are 18 years old or older like Twilight herself.
"What's that?" the purple dog asked Twilight.
"I honestly don't know?" The Book reader puzzle, "I would assume this book is for anyone that is 18 years old or older, due to it saying on the title. But I don't know what is this for?"
The Book Princess had no idea why is this book here or what is even in this book.
"Well, maybe it could help us." the now purple dog said, "I mean you're at least 18 years old, so might as well read it, it could help us in our journey."
The magic princess hesitated on this, "Spike how is this gonna help us in our journey?" The magic princess asked, "Come to think of it, how is this related to this world?"
"Oh come on Twilight." the purple dog said, "You're a book nerd, you know not to judge a book by its cover or title."
Twilight was annoyed by Spike calling her a 'book nerd', giving him a stern angry stare
The purple dog saw her angry face, he smiled nervously, quivering.
"You have a point though, I should not judge a book by its title or cover." The book nerd breaks up the stare and agrees with the obnoxious dog.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Twilight's assistant dragon asked. "Read it."
The book nerd opens the book and she begin reading it.
In another part of the city, people were minding their business, driving cars, going for a walk or going to work, etc.
A man wearing a polo shirt is going down his day, going for a nice walk. Upon walking, he stumbles across a vending machine and he decides to buy a Coca-Cola drink.
He picks up the drink right after the machine drops it. On the brink of drinking it, he is interrupted by a sudden scream echoing all around the city.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
It shook the ground, vibrating beneath the people's feet, they could feel it. Car lamps began shattering into pieces, and house windows too began breaking apart. Drivers began losing control of their cars due to the sound, resulting in a few car crashes into each other or buildings. The block was messy and in shambles, with the dreaded broken houses glasses, and car lamps. Cars were broken or exploded due to the sound, it was chaos.
The polo-shirt man saw the whole situation, he shrugged it off as a normal day and just went back to drinking. However on the brink of drinking, spontaneously a broken piece of mirror crushes the man, piercing him. The polo-shirt man screamed in agony and pain.
The book girl was horrified her innocence was defiled by what she had seen in that wretched opus. She couldn't control the repugnant feeling and retched. Her body let go of this feeling, puking out her inner food stomach in a green liquid onto the grass.
The book girl was breathing heavily, her inner stomach was twisted and hurt, and she managed to hold her stomach, preventing from her letting out her inner digested foods again.
"So uh, how is it?" The purple assistant dog asked.
"Horrible." The book girl responded. "It's, horrible."
"How horrible are we talking about?" The purple dog ask
Twilight turned her head slowly at Spike, her movement caused a creaking sound. Her eyes were lifeless, pupils dilated. Black eye bags can be seen under her eyes. Her face was a look of traumatized, with her smile being down.
"Discord level of horrible." She mutters, voice trembling in fear.
The purple dog looked at her with an amused face. "Uh huh, lemme see that." He said.
Spike grabbed the book away from Twilight's hand. He opens the pages to see how horrible. When he opens the pages, to see what is inside of them, his face quickly turns from a look of curiosity to a look of traumatized and disgust, his eyes pop out and his smile turns downside.

He turned his body around and immediately gave the book back to Twilight, without muttering a single word, only the face of straight traumatized. The purple princess sarcastically looks at the dog, he is too curious about the book.
Spike goes back to his position and sits down. He was processing what he had just seen. He knows that the pages of that book look like a comic book, due to it having panels. But instead of action or superheroes in those panels, it was filled with boys and women doing......Heroundus acts.
After a moment of silence, the purple dog finally spoke, "So uh what do we do with that..... book?"
"Hmm, the logical solution is to give the book back to its owner but I don't even have a lick of idea who who would read....this... THIS THING." The book girl responded, a feeling of doubt.
Spike began thinking with his mind. Twilight has a point, how are they gonna bring this book to the owner if they don't know the place and the owner? Matter of fact they don't know who loves to read.....That type of book.
"Maybe we should keep it?" The purple dog suggested. The book girl looks at him with a strict face. "Just saying."
The book girl looks at the pink book cover, trying to put the pieces in her mind. 'Who would randomly put this book on this field.' She thought, 'Matter of fact who is this perso-'
*BEEP* BOOK FOUND
Twilight and Spike froze when they heard that sound, not moving a muscle. They turned around their head to see the source of the sound. When they do, they see that it is not an object.
Standing 6'11 feet tall was a man with a left mechanical arm. He wears a dark blue polo shirt that is covered by a black suit. He has an engineer belt wrapped around his waist, black pants, and brown engineer goggles that cover his messy hair.
'Ah, Scrap on a book.' Twilight thought she and Spike looked at the man nervously, they were sweating like crazy.
Turns out the man's right seemingly mechanical-like hand was the one that made that sound and was the one that found them or located them.
Twilight saw the man's face and she knew that the man was in a very good mood. He has a stare that is a mix of death and danger. He was a few feet away from them
The man stared at them very menacingly, he was so menacingly, that he cast a shadow over them.
After a few moments, he put down his right mechanical-like arm and began walking toward them, slowly. His walking reminds Twilight of dragons like Spike walking on two legs. She realized that she was dumb and that she had to walk like that.
Twilight felt the adrenalin in her body, 'Flip! He's on to us! C'mon, Twilight think.' the purple girl thought. She began thinking of ways to try to stop this act of his.
After a few moments, Twilights finally found an idea, maybe introducing her to him could work. "G-good mourning sir, my name is Twilight Sparkle." She introduced. The man did not stop walking. He still has that stare of his.
Twilight is sweating more, "If I may ask this." She asked, no response from him, "Can you give us a tour of this place? We are new to this."
The man did not stutter, only getting closer and closer to them. At this point, Twilight is dead but she does not give up thinking of other ways. Spike saw this moment and began thinking about how to calm the man. He processes his brain until he remembers the man's mechanical-like arm or hand had found a book and the only book that he and Twilight have is the weird book. He thinks that the man is the owner of it.
He poked Twilight's knees to alert her, Twilight looked at him very confusingly, and the purple assistant dog pointed to the book that Twilight had in her hand. Twilight soon realizes what Spike means but when she turns back, the man is already very close to her, staring at her soul. Twilight took a few steps back.
"I-Is this...What you're looking for?" The book girl asked, holding the book right in front of him, "You know. I could give this to you."
The man still walks even closer to her, "If so then you can have it, all you have to do is...Ask?" The book suggested fear. But the man is already right in front of her, standing tall above her. Above her head.
His sunken devil stares right through Twilight's soul, making Twilight quiver. She closed her eyes, embracing the impact that the man was about to unleash on her. However, after a few moments, it didn't come. Instead, the book that Twilight is holding is scooped right out of her hands. Twilight slowly opens her eyes in surprise.
The man looks at the book that he scooped, analyzing the book and title. After a few moments, he finally spoke.
"Yep seems like it ." He said, his voice didn't sound normal, his voice but rather voice sounded more rigid and more tough-like.
Twilight and Spike sigh in relief, 'thank god'.
However, after that, he did not say his thanks to her and instead just put the book in his pocket and walked off rudely.
Twilight was stunned or offended by this, "HEY! Aren't you gonna thank me for that and give us me a tour?!" She exclaimed in annoyance.
The man stopped for a second to think. "Lemme think," He said. "No." He finally said before going to the big building and entering the building, slamming the doors.
There was an awkward silence after he left. "Well, that was rude." the purple dog irritated.
"Indeed it is." The book girl responded, also irritated. She took a deep breath and remembered what they were here for. She tries to walk on two legs like the man did a while ago. However, she has a bit of trouble walking to the entrance. She always wobbled when she took a step toward the entrance.
She eventually got to the stairs where she relied on the pole that could help her weigh to go to the entrance. "Come on Spike." The book girl said, "I do not want to be like this for longer than I have to." She struggles to climb the pole, with her feet climbing up the stairs but she is janky.
Meanwhile Spike, he just hops from one stair to another, due to him already getting used to walking with 4 legs. "Look on the bright side." He said, "You don't have those pesky wings to worry about anymore."
Twilight looked at him, very annoyed by this remark, Spike smiled nervously, he was trying.
After that, Twilight finally reached the entrance, and all she needed to do just open the glass doors. She flings her head to use her magic to open the door, then she goes in. But instead of going in with ease, she slams herself at the door. She notices the problem.
She tries with all of her willpower but it still isn't working, "My magic." The book girl anxiously said, "It isn't not working."
"Make sense." Spike willingly said, "You don't exactly have your horn."
"WHAT!" The book girl exclaimed, now even more worried than before.
Spike looks amusingly at her, "You really, need to see a mirror." He said, deciding to open the door the right way for Twilight. When they entered the building, they were shocked
The building was a school but more fashionable. There were decorations and banners all around the building, different vibrant colors that were bright and colorful. Two spaces for the students to go to their classes and lockers.
They eventually saw a mirror where artifacts or trophies were located or placed. "What do you think Spike?" Twilight asked, "Other artifacts from Equestria she's stolen?"
After admiring it for a few moments, she looked at herself in the mirror and was surprised at her new body. She was standing 5 feet tall, with two legs, and two hands. She has long hair with one strip of purple line on her hair, a polo shirt, a skirt with her cutie mark on it and she also has a bag that Celestia gave her.
''What am I?'' She confusingly said
*RINGRINGRING*
She and Spike were suddenly bombarded by crowds of people walking by. It was so crowded, that Twilight and Spike were struggling to get through the crowd since they were new to this
Twilight decided that crawling was the best option, she crawled the way out but one of her feet was stuck in the crowd, she used all her might to pull it off the crowd, but when she did, she stumbled backward and hit someone in the leg.
"Whoa!" Someone said, "You okay there?" Twilight looked towards the person who said that the person that she looked at was standing approximately 6 feet tall. He wears a white shirt that has a blue shield and yellow thunder logo, that is covered by a black jacket that has red and white straps all around the middle and also has blue pants. He has yellow skin and blue hair. He offers a hand for Twilight that can hold onto to stand up.
Twilight slowly grabbed his hand, and the boy picked her up, she nodded.
"Whew, good." Said the blue-haired boy in relief, "For a sec there, I have to call in a nurse to help you, cause you know, don't want any girls to bash their skulls around me." The blue boy smiles sheepishly, trying to give out a kind and joking man.
However, Twilight was not fazed by this joking matter. She just looked at him, very confused and not getting the joke.
The blue-haired boy saw her reaction, and he was a bit scared about what he had just said, "Sorry, that was a bit awkward." He sadly admitted.
Twilight widened her eyes at what he had said, "Oh no no." The book girl hesitates, "It was not awkward at all, the joke is funny, like really funny. It is so funny that it made me question my life. It's that funny."
The blue-haired boy was enlightened by this response, "Oh, why that is very nice of you to say that." He said, ecstatic to hear her response.
"Thanks." Twilight respond happily, delighted by the response. There was an awkward silence between them for a few minutes.
The blue-haired boy decides to break up the awkward silence, "Oh, and by the way. Name's Flash, Flash Sentry. what about you?" The blue-haired boy asked, hand to Twi to shake.
The book girl grabs the boy's hand slowly, trying to get comfy. Eventually, she shakes his hand "Twilight Sparkle." She said.
"Cool name." Flash admired, "So uh are you new around here?"
"Uh, yes." The book girl affirmed, "I am new."
"Great!" The blue-haired boy was pleased by the remark, "So, how's your first day of school so far?"
Twilight was confused and shocked by the boy's reveal that the building was a school. To her, the building is a bit too big for a school.
"Uh, good so far." The book girl landed a sentence.
"That's good to hear." The blue-haired boy delightfully said, "Did you make any friends along the way?"
The book girl turned her face downward, "Uh, nope not really." She sadly said.
This makes the black jacket boy concerned and sad, "Huh, Why?"
The book girl picks up the words to say, without getting caught. "Cause. It's my first day, I don't immediately get friends when it's my first day." She said.
Flash decides to allow Twilight to make her happy, "Well I'll be glad to be your first friend of the day." He delightfully said.
The book girl was surprised by this kind of offer. "You would do that for me?" She asked
The blue-haired boy smiled, "Absolutely." He said in delight
"Well, I had nothing to say." Twilight shook her words.
"Nah, you don't need to." Flash happily said.
All of a sudden, a sudden ding abrupt their conversation. The source of the ding came from Flash's pocket. The blue-haired boy picked up the source from his pocket, it was a rectangle-like object. He checked on the object and his face was immediately alarmed.
"Whoops! Uh, I gotta go." Flash said, "Got to practice my solo guitar skills with my friends, and they're waiting for me. Don't want them to kill me."
The blue-haired boy starts running with his textbooks to go to his friends. But he stopped for a moment to say one last moment to Twilight.
"Hope you had a good day." Flash happily said.
Twilight smiled at him, "You too." She said
After that, Flash immediately goes back to running to his friend's location. Spike was looking at the situation very odd.
"Well. At least we know it's not a castle." Spike informs.
"Yeah." The book girl agrees.
