//------------------------------// // Chapter Fifty Two // Story: Save The World, Duh! // by TheKing2001 //------------------------------// Trixie “What do I do?” Micro Chips asked worriedly as I rolled my eyes. Flash snickered as Watermelody and I sighed. “Literally just walk up to her and ask her out,” Captain Planet answered as he, Bulk Biceps, Sandalwood, Lily, Daisy, Octavia and Derpy stood around the tether ball as I placed my hands on my hips. “Look,” Daisy hugged him and the two blushed faintly. “You got this. Rose is getting her as we speak. I believe in you. So does Lily.” I turned around as Roseluck came running up with some roses in her hand. “She’s coming!” Roseluck announced as she shoved the flowers into Micros hands. “Good luck!” We ran to the nearby bushes and I jumped into the one with Octavia, Watermelody and Derpy. Roseluck, Lily and Daisy hid behind a nearby tree as the guys hid in an adjacent bush. “Hey Micro,” Starlight winked as we cautiously peeked out a bit. Hopefully she doesn’t see us and then I can retain my greatest and powerful student carer abouter forever. “Hey,” Micro inhaled and handed her the roses. “These are uh for you!” “Oh thank you,” Starlight examined them and grinned. “Roseluck give you these?” Flash made a throat cutting gesture and Micro nodded. “Yeah,” Micro admitted and Flash facepalmed. “I mean no!” “No?” “I picked them,” Micro said nervously and I bit my lip. It was so obvious he was lying. Octavia gave Flash a look as he gave a thumbs up. “Oh okay,” Starlight turned faintly red and I groaned quietly. There is no way this girl is that dense and believed him. Those flowers were expertly picked, an amateur like him wouldn’t be able to do that. “What exactly are we doing here? I’m supposed to be painting with Aqua Blossom.” I gritted my teeth slightly and tensed. I hated Aqua for stealing Lavs boyfriend the way she did. Especially for helping Brawly cheat on Lav. Derpy and Octavia each grabbed my shoulders as Watermelody placed a hand on my chest. “Easy girl,” Watermelody whispered. “I know you don’t like her but don’t ruin this moment.” “Fine,” I grumbled and they let me go as we turned to keep watching from our hiding spot. “I think we’re being watched,” Starlight announced as she looked around and I hastily ducked. “I see your beret Watermelody and your hair Trixie. Come out!” We all sheepishly stood up and walked out of the bush. I yanked a tree branch out of my hair and tossed it aside. Flash and the other guys looked at each other and sighed, following us. “Spying on us for blackmail? That’s low,” Starlight folded her arms and glared. “That actually isn’t the case,” Micro admitted sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. “They’re helping me uh ask you out? They all individually gave me advice and yeah-” he froze as Starlight kissed his cheek. “Yes,” she said simply with a grin. “About freaking time. I’ve been dropping hints for months now.” “Oh.” “Thanks for helping him,” Starlight winked at us as Micro turned red. “Good to know he has such good friends.” “We’re actually no-” I began and Watermelody whacked me upside the head. “You’re welcome.” “Now me and Micro are gonna go hang out on our last night in a kayak,” Starlight smirked as she dragged a blushing Micro away. “Well that happened,” Captain Planet rubbed the back of his head. “I’m gonna go sleep. Goodnight.” “I didn’t actually expect him to get her,” Lily commented as Roseluck and Daisy gasped, the two glaring at the middle sister. “Lily!” I yawned as I walked to my cabin as I heard footsteps running behind me as I noticed Watermelody slowing to a walk next to me. “So did you get any partners?” Watermelody asked curiously and I internally cursed. I had been busy with my friends and the magical shit to remember our challenge. “No Trixie was busy. You?” Watermelody’s smug grin faded as she shook her head. “Nope. I got busy and apparently people don’t like me that much here.” I gave a laugh as we entered my tent and sat down. “Trixie can relate to that. She isn’t that well liked around these parts.” “This was a stupid competition, wasn’t it?” Watermelody inquired with a faint frown as she leaned against my pillow. “Well we wouldn’t have had one if you hadn’t been sarcastic when you said Trixie was attractive!” I snapped and glared at her. “Wait you thought I was being sarcastic?” Watermelody asked in disbelief. “I was being serious.” “Oh.” I didn’t really see that coming. I had legitimately thought she was being sarcastic as most people are. Well, people outside my friend group that is. “You really should have more confidence,” Watermelody grinned as she sat back up. “I’ve never actually been with another girl. Only guys.” “Nor has Trixie. Trixie has been with neither. She focuses on her friends and shows too much for dating.” “I can respect that,” Watermelody admitted and inched closer. “I can think of one I could be interested in trying a relationship. A way we can both win this competition.” “Uh what?” I asked in confusion as Watermelody kissed my cheek. I turned a bright shade of red and started to sputter incoherent words. Watermelody smirked as she leaned away with a blush. “I’m not entirely sure if you were serious about getting a girl or boyfriend, but whenever you decide if you’re interested to try, you know where to find me. I’m not sure what it all entails myself but,” Watermelody stood up. “I’d be willing to try.” She walked to the exit as she added some unnecessary sway to her hips and I gulped, feeling my cheeks go red again. I watched her disappear and go outside as I sighed. I’m not the greatest person at emotions, believe it or not. I bit my lip and shoved my self up, releasing my breath as I jogged to the exit. “H-hey wait!
