//------------------------------// // Chapter Thirty One // Story: Save The World, Duh! // by TheKing2001 //------------------------------// Sunset With an exhausted groan, I shifted my backpack on my back as I walked up the stairs with Octavia. My mom and sisters had already went ahead to their classrooms as a equally exhausted familiar blue haired girl got off the bus with a fuchsia haired girl at her side. “Sunset!” Trixie called out as Octavia and I paused. “Wait up!” Trixie and Fuchsia panted as they held each other up. “Hey guys,” I grinned as I hugged Fuchsia. “How was Manhattan?” “Terrifying. I’m never going to another Trixie family reunion,” Fuchsia grimaced and gave an exaggerated shudder before smirking. “So many people like Trixie, it was terrifying. Felt like I was in a recurring nightmare.” “Shut up you,” Trixie scowled briefly as Fuchsia snickered. “We brought gifts.” Trixie rummaged through her bag before handing me a book. “What’s this?” I asked curiously and flipped through it, staring at the art work in it. “You like art. We stopped at the Metropolitan Museum of Art,” Trixie explained as she handed Octavia a book with different wood instruments. “So we got you that and Octavia a book on old wooden instruments from ancient culture.” “Thank you love,” Octavia bowed her head gratefully as she opened her book. “I know what I’ll be reading later.” “We got the others gifts too,” Fuchsia chimed in as we started walking to the doors as I opened them and followed them in. We instantly all winced at the screaming coming from around the hall. “What the fuck was that?” A terrified Cloudkicker, Blossomforth and Raindrops came running around the corner. Raindrops was almost afraid of nothing and had anger issues, so if she was afraid then it’s a good bet that I should be too. “You all should run!” Raindrops shouted at us as she ducked into a classroom. “Why?” Trixie demanded as she placed her hands on her hips. “Lavender is coming,” Blossomforth whispered with a shiver. “And she’s mad. Beyond mad. She’s scary when furious.” “Oh shit,” Fuchsia muttered as she hid behind me. “I’ve only ever seen her really, really mad like this once. I hoped I would never see it again.” “Nonsense!” Trixie proclaimed proudly and strode around the corner. “Trixie will sooth her angry friend!” “I really wouldn’t-” Cloudkicker tried to warn her as I glanced at her in shock and the red handprint on her cheek. I had a sneaking suspicion Lavender was responsible. I winced at the loud shouting come from around the corner as Trixie ran back to us with a deer in the headlights look. “Trixie does not recommend going around the corner.” Lavender stepped around the corner with the most furious look I’ve ever seen as Octavia and I gave each other nervous looks. “Where’s my bitch of a cousin?” Lavender demanded as she stopped in front of us. “Oh hey Lavender,” I said and rubbed the back of my head. “I take it you’re mad at me?” “Not at you,” Lavender admitted angrily. “I’m mad at my bitch of a cousin. It’s my right to decide where I live. She told you to bring me back. She came by the other night and explained everything. We had a screaming match and I kicked her out.” “Well love,” Octavia said as she peeked out from behind me. “Maybe we should calm down? We are in public, after all.” A quick glance around us confirmed our classmates trying to sneak out of the hallway. “That bitch never wanted me to be happy,” Lavender fumed as she punched a locker. “Just you wait until I get my hands on her. Slapping her wasn’t enough. Cloudkicker!” “I don’t think this is a good idea to fight in the hall,” I placed a nervous hand on her shoulder as I realized the others were hiding behind me. This is what I get for being the bravest among us. Rainbow snuck up behind her and I mouthed wait. “I want her blonde ass out here now!” Lavender shouted angrily as her eyes narrowed and she shoved some blonde hair away from her eyes. “Lavender love, you have blonde hair too.” “Not helping Octavia!” Lavender ground out through her gritted teeth as Cloudkicker gulped and nervously stepped forward. “There you are! How dare you force Sunset to bring me back? I wanted to stay in Equestria. It’s a simple life and I want it. No cyber bullies to worry about, no cars nothing. Clean air and a easy life. It’s my motherfucking decision!” “Wait what?” Fuchsia snapped as she peered over my shoulder. “What about us? Me? Trixie? Are we not good enough anymore?” “The house in Equestria was big!” Lavender explained as she clenched a fist. “The three of us could have lived there together. I specifically requested one with three bedrooms for the three of us!” “Oh,” Fuchsia said simply as she watched nervously. Lavender raised a fist as Rainbow grabbed her by the waist and lifted her in the air. “Easy girl!” Rainbow grunted as Lavender flailed her arms and legs. “I’m not your enemy, quit flailing.” “Put me down Rainbow!” Lavender shouted as Rainbow carried a struggling and furious Lavender away. Her yelling got quieter as silence filled the hallway. That was the most scariest thing I personally think I have ever seen. And I’ve fought sirens, a changeling queen and a cyber bully. None of those even come close to an angry Lavender. “That was scary,” Blossomforth whispered as she came out of a locker she had dove into. “I never thought Lavender could get that mad.” “I did,” Cloudkicker muttered with a slackjawed expression. “Never got used to it.” “The only time I saw it was when she screamed at her parents before she got legal emancipation and was able to rent her own apartment,” Fuchsia grimaced worriedly. “I’ll talk to her. Come on Trixie.” Trixie stayed still with a shocked expression as Fuchsia rolled her eyes and dragged the magician behind her. “Remind me never to get on Lavenders bad side,” Octavia commented quietly as I glanced at her. “You said it Octavia.”
