I stared at the large black structure in the distance, jutting into the sky with fear. It was probably the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen. And my daughter was somewhere in there.
“Discord? Why is Sunset’s family here along with Dinky and Bon Bons mom?” Starlight asked with a raised eyebrow. “This isn’t the place for fillies!”
“Accident,” he waved a hand. “I should probably send them back before we go into the castle looking thing like it’s a Mario Level.”
“What in Equestria is Mario?” Trixie demanded as she glared at him.
“Nothing. Another time,” Discord scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Uncultured mare.”
“Excuse me?” Trixie screamed and turned angry red as she gave him a furious look. Starlight quickly placed a restraining hoof on Trixie and groaned.
“We’re staying,” Berry Punch said as she glared at Starlight. “I’m not a fan of leaving my niece in there.”
“Nor am I!” Cherry Berry snapped as Minuette voiced her agreement.
“Me neither,” I said and shook my head angrily. “We are coming with. End of the discussion.”
“And me!” Sweetie Drops chimed in. “I am not leaving my daughter back there.”
“My sister is in there,” Silver Spoon said and stepped forward till she jabbed a hoof into Starlights chest. “I don’t know you. I know Sunset. And I know she would do the exact same for me if our positions were swapped. I love my sister and I’m coming.” Ruby nodded and jumped off Berry’s back to join Silver.
“All of us are,” Scootaloo snapped and join Silver with Diamond next to her.
“No,” Starlight sighed and shook her head. “It’s not safe. Sunset would kill me if anything to any of you.”
“You better get Bon Bon and the others back,” Sweetie Drops said and glared at her. “Or God help me.”
“We will do everything we can to get them all,” Starlight promised. “I promise you that.”
“What do we do now?” Octavia asked worriedly as she trotted back and forth.
“We save the world, duh!” Lightning exclaimed as she held a hoof out. “We get our friends back, we get the princesses freed and save the day! Like we always do!”
“I’m in!” Lavender shouted as she placed a hoof of her own ontop of Lightnings and the two looked back at Octavia. “Well?” Octavia hesitated before placing a hoof herself.
“Let’s go Nerd Herd!” The three shouted as Starlight rolled her eyes.
“Are you going to get my sisters back?” Dinky asked nervously as she tugged on Starlights foreleg. Starlight smiled warmly and looked down at the filly.
“We’re gonna do everything we can for Amethyst and Derpy. You have my word,” Starlight promised as she rubbed Dinkys hair. “Now go before you put me into a coma from your adorableness.”
Starlight nodded at Discord as Trixie and Lightning slid down the dirt and he snapped his fingers.
We tumbled into presumably Bon Bon and Lyra’s living room. Sea Swirl, Equestrian Berry, Equestrian Ruby, Scootaloo and Liza, Twinkleshine, Amethyst along with Lemon Hearts, Moondancer, Equestrian Minuette, Lyra and Bon Bon gave us confused looks as I groaned.
“Uh can we help you?” Bon Bon asked curiously as I staggered to my hooves.
“Are you really you?” Cherry asked suspiciously as earth Minuette moaned and climbed off of Berry.
“What does that mean?” Twinkleshine demanded as Ruby bounced up to her.
“Something called a changeling is back!” Ruby chirped. “They’ve taken the Princesses captive along with Sunset, our worlds Bon Bon, Lyra, Derpy, Amethyst and Vinyl along with Spike!”
“What?” Bon Bon stood up as Lyra, Equestrian Minuette and Twinkleshine looked afraid. “All of the princesses?”
“Yeah,” Silver Spoon sighed as she sat on my lap.
“Lyra get the briefcase,” Bon Bon said coolly. Lyra sat still as she, Twinkleshine and Minuette hugged each other nervously. “Lyra! I know you and other two have bad memories after the wedding but I need you to get the briefcase.”
“Right,” Lyra shivered and jumped to her hooves. “Briefcase.”
“Liza, Ruby, Scootaloo go to your rooms please,” Bon Bon instructed sternly. “Take Silver Spoon, Diamond Tiara, Scoots, the other Ruby and Dinky with you. The grown ups have to talk.”
“I’ll go with,” Equestrian Berry said instantly and stood up.
“Like hell you are,” Earth Berry said coldly as she glared at her counterpart. It was a bit hard to tell them apart. They oddly had the exact same cutie marks, everything. “You could be one of them. There’s no way in hell am I letting you around my daughter and nieces.”
“I’m definitely not one of them but you can certainly come with.” The two trotted up the stairs and gave each other distrusting looks as Lyra returned with a briefcase.
“Thanks,” Bon Bon said as she pressed her hoof ontop of the briefcase and turned it. It popped open and we all looked in surprise at the grappling hook and other tools. “Thank you Agent Heartstrings.”
“What the buck is going on?” Moondancer demanded as she patted Twinkleshine on the back. “Agent Heartstrings?”
“What is about to be said will never leave this room or you can be arrested for treason,” Bon Bon warned us all as we nervously nodded. “My name isn’t Bon Bon. It’s Sweetie Drops. Bon Bon is a codename. I’m a SMILE agent. Outside of Princess Celestia and Luna, only Sunset and Lyra knows my true identity.”
“What?” Sea Swirl demanded as she gazed at them.
“Remember the bug bear?” Lyra asked as she and Bon Bon put sunglasses on. Sea Swirl and the others looked at each other before nodding slowly.
“The bug bear was the last mission I went one. It was also my first. I captured it but I caught my scent and shortly broke out of Tartarus. When it attacked Ponyville, it’s because it tracked me. Lyra found out that day my true identity,” Bon Bon explained as she pulled on the rope.
“That was two years ago!” Equestrian Minuette snapped as she stared at the two. “You’ve been holding out on us!”
“Sorry,” Lyra commented quietly. “I had to keep Bon Bon safe. Our daughters don’t even know. I joined shortly after the agency reopened when two agents asking for Bon Bon showed up on my doorstep.”
“Wait!” Sea Swirl waved her hooves nervously. “Where’s Lavender?”
“With Trixie, Starlight, Discord, Thorax, Lightning and Octavia. They’re in the changeling kingdom right now,” Cherry Berry said helpfully as we hugged each other. “Wait where are you two going?”
“To get the mirror,” Bon Bon answered as she and Lyra headed for the door. “It’s not safe in the castle with the changelings. If anypony from the elements or somepony who isn’t us comes to the door, get to the cellar. And make sure it's actually us. Twinkleshine will show you where it is.”
We watched Bon Bon and Lyra slip out the door, closing it quietly as they snuck up the street.
