Roseluck
I rolled over in my sleep, sighing peacefully. That was till I was shaken awake and I slowly opened my eyed and stared up at my sister Daisy’s worried face.
“Roseluck wake up,” Daisy said urgently. “Blossomforth you too. The others already awake except Rainbow.” The rainbow haired girl was snoring on her pillow with a line of drool working it’s way out of her mouth.
“This is going to be so funny to show her later on!” Flitter giggled as she and Cloudchaser recorded their soccer captain snoring.
“Wake up Dash damnit!” Applejack shouted as Rainbow shot up.
“I’m up I’m up!” Rainbow exclaimed as she rubbed her eyes.
“We got woken up by Starlight freaking out about they’re back or a something,” Sweetie Belle said as she hugged Rarity.
“Trixie wake up!” Starlight hissed as she pounded on the wagon door.
“Yes Princess Celestia,” Trixie muttered. “I’d love to perform for peanut butter crackers.” Starlight recoiled and gave the wagon and concerned look before shaking her head and pounding on the door.
“Guess Trixies secret love is common in both worlds!” Blossomforth giggled as we all laughed.
“Trixie this is serious!” Starlight snapped as a bunch of fireworks went off and Trixie opened the wagon window and coughing.
“What in Celestia’s name do you think you’re doing at this hour?” Trixie demanded as she rubbed her eyes.
“There’s something wrong with Twilight and the others!” Starlight explained quietly as she looked around nervously.
“There’s a lot that’s wrong with your friends,” Trixie muttered as she closed the window. “I’d be more than happy to give you the whole list tomorrow morning at a more reasonable hour.”
“Trixie get out here!” Starlight snapped as she levitated Trixie out and in front of her. “I think Twilight and the others were-” she paused and gave Trixie a suspicious look. “What did you tell me to never tell anypony ever?”
“Where is she going with this?” Apple Bloom wondered aloud as we all watched with growing worry.
“Starlight? Did you seriously wake me up to play guessing games?” Trixie demanded angrily.
“Just tell me!” Starlight snapped back.
“Even Trixies made mistakes,” Trixie grumbled out and I barely made out the ending.
“Be serious Trixie!” Starlight said nervously.
“Even Trixie’s made mistakes!” Trixie shouted as we all shivered at her furious expression. “There? Are you happy!?”
“Yes,” Starlight sighed and hugged her. “I think Twilight and the others have been replaced by changelings!”
“Are you certain?” Trixie asked worriedly as she glanced at the castle.
“What is going on out here?” Berry Punch asked and the two mares whirled around. Everyone except Sunset and the ones who stayed behind were with them.
“How can we trust you?” Starlight asked with an edge in her tone as her horn glowed.
“Uh what?” Cheerilee asked nervously. “We were with you. In the village. Where Trixie said even she’s made mistakes.” Starlight sighed in relief and her horns glow disappeared.
“Follow me,” Starlight gestured with a hoof. “But stay quiet.” We watched as they snuck into the castle, Trixie looking around nervously as they approached the throne room and peeked through. Sunset shoved Derpy into the ground as Amethyst and Lyra pointed hooves and laughed.
Bon Bon sat next to Vinyl and watched coldly as Fluttershy slammed Spikes head against the throne and Rarity laughed.
“Whoa!” Rainbow whispered in awe as Applejack threw a apple onto the throne next to her. “Rarity has an awesome evil laugh!”
“Something is wrong,” I said and shook my head. “Sunset would never hurt Derpy. She loves her.”
“Is it ready?” Twilight asked as she approached Applejack.
“Just one more,” Applejack said coldly as she placed a black rock on the table with the hours as Cherry Berry’s eyes went wide. The rocks combined and a black mare was staring at Twilight and the others.
“Quit looking like that!” The mare demanded. “You know I can’t stand when you all look like that!”
“Oh right,” Twilight said as she rolled her eyes. Green flames erupted around her, Sunset, Derpy and the others as we all gasped at the black creatures with pointed horns and holes in their bodies.
“W-what is that?” Blossomforth stammered in fear as she hugged Cloudkicker. Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom hid behind their sisters and peeked out.
“Queen Chrysalis!” Starlight whispered in fear.
“Statues report!” Chrysalis snapped angrily as the changeling who had been impersonating Twilight stepped forward.
“We’ve replaced the ponies in the castle and their pet dragon,” the changeling answered and we shivered at his voice. Sounded like fingernails on a chalkboard. “There’s nochangeling who can stand in our way now.”
“We thought too small last time!” Chrysalis announced as Cheerilee and Berry exchanged nervous looks. “One ponynapped princess wasn’t enough! With all of the beloved ponies of Equestria and the princesses of Canterlot replaced, Equestria is ours!” The rocks fell apart and the door creaked. The changelings heads whipped to the door and they hissed before Twilight and the others stood in the library.
“Shh!” Starlight whispered as she covered Silver Spoons mouth before she could scream as the changelings trotted out into the hallway and spilt up. Twilight paused and started sniffing the air, pausing front of Starlight as Ruby’s eyes widened nervously. Twilight shrugged and trotted off into the hallway Fluttershy had followed Spike.
Starlight teleported them all outside and canceled what we assumed was a invisibility spell. Trixie fell on her stomach and started panting as Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara hugged each other.
“This is bad!” Lavender trotted back and worriedly. “This is really bad! Not only did the Princesses get kidnapped, our friends are kidnapped.”
“This is Princess level stuff! We aren’t prepared for something like this!” Trixie exclaimed worriedly.
“There are no Princesses, Trixie!” Starlight shot back.
“Where is my daughter?” Sweetie Drops demanded angrily as she pinned Starlight to the ground.
“I don’t know!” Starlight snapped worriedly as she gently shoved Bon Bons mom off her. “We can get to the Crystal Empire, contact Princess Cadence. They only said Canterlot and obviously Twilight have been replaced. They never said Cadence!”
“There’s no help coming from the Crystal Empire,” a voice from the bushes said as a changeling appeared and Lavender spun around with Lightning and Octavia as Lavenders horn glowed.
“Wait!” Starlight said hastily as a bubble surrounded Trixie and she started pounding her hooves against it as she screamed quietly. “Don’t hurt him! Thorax, is that you?”
“You know that bug?” Lightning asked in shock as she glared at him.
“It’s me,” Thorax sighed. “You helped Spike get me accepted by the rest of the princesses even though they could have banished you. You were the main advocate for me to be allowed to live in the Crystal Empire even though I was a changeling.”
“We should help!” Rainbow shouted as she lunged for the portal. Applejack grabbed her collar and pulled her back.
“Woah nelly!” Applejack grunted as she pinned Rainbow down to my confusion. “We can’t. If we do, we could alert the changelings to the mirror. Then they could come here. It’s what Sunset would do. She would demand we don’t come try to save her. She would tell us to leave her behind to keep our world safe. Ah don’t like it either Dash.”
“You’re right,” Rainbow sighed as she hugged a evidently terrified Fluttershy. Hell, I was terrified. Derpy was one of my best friends.
“Trixie, this is Thorax,” Starlight said as the bubble evaporated. “He’s a reformed changeling. He’s on our side.”
“Hi there. Nice to meet you!” Thorax said and held out a hoof.
“If Starlight says you’re good, then I believe her. Just stay over there please.”
“What the hell is a changeling?” Berry Punch demanded as she looked at the castle. “Where is Sunset?”
“And my sisters!” Dinky shouted and pulled on Starlights hoof.
“And Adagio, Aria, Sonata and Vinyl,” Octavia added worriedly.
“I don’t know. A changeling feeds on love. It drains a creature of their love,” Starlight explained as she gazed at Thorax. “Your wings are different.”
“Sunset said she was feeling drained,” Minuette muttered under her breath. “We should have stayed behind. Maybe she wouldn’t be kidnapped.”
“And if you stayed, you’d be replaced as well,” Starlight retorted as she hesitantly pressed a hoof on her shoulder. “There’s nothing you could have done. You can’t stay at the castle. It’s not safe. Go to Lyra and Bon Bons. Take the fillies.”
“Where’s Twilight and the girls at?” A ugly stick looking thing appeared on an apple eating a rock.
“What the fuck are you supposed to be?” Lightning asked flatly as she raised an eyebrow. Rarity glared at the portal and hastily covered Sweeties ears.
“He’s Discord. He’s the lord of chaos. He’s a Draconequus,” Starlight explained as she gazed at him. “Listen, Twilight and the others have been- wait. How can we believe you’re truly Discord?” He gave her a flat look and snapped his fingers as Lightning turned into a mouse and Lavender merged with Octavia.
“I think we believe you,” Trixie grumbled under her breath. Satisfied, Discord snapped his fingers and Lightning turned back into a pegasus as Octavia separated from Lavender.
“Never doing that again!” Lavender shivered as Lightning patted her body frantically.
“The changelings are back. They took Twilight, Rainbow Fluttershy and the others!” Starlight exclaimed worriedly.
“They took Fluttershy?” Discord demanded as he glared at Starlight.
“Yes!” Starlight exclaimed as Discord snapped his fingers and they stood on a hill in the desert surrounded by dead plants.
“I hope they get Derpy and the others back,” I muttered as the ponies started arguing with Discord. Lily, Daisy and Raindrops hugged me as we all watched in fear.
“Me too sis. Me too.”
