Apollo mission 22

Cold war and plans to search for three lost astronaut

NASA wrote a petition to ROSCOSMOS, requesting if they wanted to work together in this space mission. At that time, USA and USSR are in Cold War. It was 1973, and only in a matter of time when the Cold War will end. However, the Soviet Union states began to protest at this time, making it almost impossible for the US to agree.

Before that time, a lot had happened. Starting from Vietnam War, French withdrawal from NATO, Czechoslovakia invasion, Brezhnev Doctrine, and a lot, including the construction of the Berlin Wall, only to find out it is collapsed in 1989.

As in 1988 when Moscow began to lose control, Anti Soviet rally in Vingis Park happen in late 1988 as Väljas bowed to pressure from the Estonian Popular Front and legalized the flying of the old blue-black-white flag of Estonia

When the Soviet Union faces a rapid decline of their economy, they can't handle more revolution, so one by one, slowly but surely, states begin to gain independence. Saying that the Soviet Union also begin to shrink. Until at one point...

Berlin Speech delivered by Ronald Reagan marked the destruction of the Berlin Wall with one famous quote:

"Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall"

-Ronald Reagan-

The moment East and West Germany united as the Berlin Wall collapsed, many states in the USSR began to detach. Slowly but surely, the USSR was about to meet its demise.

In 1991, Soviet Union officially met its demise.

But the ROSCOSMOS still exists, meaning the change to the plan won't be significant. Just a little adjustment on the country name that will change, USSR replaced with Russia.

In case you forgot, let me tell you again the role of each country:

Japan's role is in making an Ultra HD 4K camera to inspect every single angle of the space.

China's role is leading Asia's supply production. As well as designing the best rocket to carry at least 7 people to the Moon as well as preparing launchpads.

Indonesia and India's role is in preparing launchpads and brewing the best foods for the astronauts to eat.

Canada and Mexico will prepare some astronauts to help. So there will be 12 shelters for 12 astronauts, putting yes, more effort for China.

Germany and France will design all the rockets.

I have mentioned China before, but their rocket is just a part for the astronauts to stay and live. While Germany and France will work together on the beginning thrust until returning to Earth.

Why choose Indonesia and India? Their area is quite reasonable to put launchpads. As they are close to the Equator and easy to access via ships. But that also means that the rocket assembly will be moved to Indonesia and India for Chinese rockets. Baikonur Cosmodrome Site for ROSCOSMOS rockets and Kennedy Space Center for NASA rockets. European Rockets will choose to launch in these three accessible Asian launchpads (Pontianak, Indonesia, or New Delhi, India), or Baikonur Cosmodrome's Pad 1/5 in Kazakhstan.
