It was day three of the tournament and Luna was currently facing her next opponent, a boy by name of Tyr Laraan and he was from Veilstone city which was in Sinnoh. He was wearing white t-shirt with a black jacket, dark navy pants and a pair of black sneakers.
On the stand was James and the others watching the match. James, Celestia, Rarity, Applejack and Sara was sitting at the bottom, while the rest was sitting right behind them.
They were ready for their battle, Tyr was up first. “Let’s do this Persian and Forrestress.” Tyr threw two Pokéball’s and out came two Pokémon Luna hadn’t seen before, one was a giant cat and the other look like something red that was wrap in metal. Luna rook out her dex to see the data, first the cat.
Persian the classy cat Pokémon. Persian has six bold whiskers that give it a look of toughness. The whiskers sense air movements of determine what is in the Pokémon’s surrounding vicinity. It becomes docile if grabbed by the whiskers.
Then the other one.
Forretress the bagworm Pokémon. Forretress conceals itself its hardened steel shell. The shell is opened when the Pokémon is catching prey, but it does so at such a quick pace that the shell’s inside cannot be seen.
Luna was a little worried about Forretress, conserving it was a bug type. She had to worry about that later, she put away her dex ant took out two Pokéball’s of her own and threw them. “Come out Jolteon and Espeon.” Out came the lightning Pokémon and the sun Pokémon, ready for battle.
In the stands, James was a little worried right about now. “This could be a problem.”
“What do you mean darling?” Rarity asked him.
“The round Pokémon is called Forretress and is stell/bug and bugs moves types are super effective against psychic.”
Then Dash open her mouth. “So, Luna has lost already?”
James look behind him gave Dash ‘are you serious’ look. “I didn’t say that, what I meant was that she going to have some trouble with Forretress, why do your mouth work faster than your brain?” Dash just gave him angry look, which he ignored while Applejack and Pinkie couldn’t help but snicker of what he said.
“What about hat cat Pokémon?” Twilight asked him.
“That’s Persian ad it’s a normal type but it can learn some dark/ghost moves but I think Jolteon and Espeon will be fine, they are siblings after all.” The girls wanted to learn more about that, but the battle was starting.
Luna decided to go first. “Alright Jolteon, use thunderbolt on Forretress and Espeon use psybeam in Persian.” Joltoen send away electricity and fire a psychics beam.
Tyr was ready. “Forretress, use rapid spin. Doge the attack Persian.” Forretress disappeared into its shell and then he started to spin, and he managed to avoid Jolteon’s attack, so did Persian. “Use shadow ball on Espeon.” Persian send away a black ball while Forretress was heading towards Jolteon while spinning.
“Espeon, use shadow ball and joteon, doge Forretress attack.”
Espeon send away a black ball that collide with Persian’s shadow ball witch created a small explosion, Jolteon managed to jump away from Forretress spinning attack but the attack keep going and Jolteon was hit.
“Use confusion on Forretress and send it flying.” Espeon’s eyes started to glow and Forretress stop dead in it track, then the sun Pokémon flick her head and send the bagworm Pokémon flying which made him crash into the ground. “Quickly Jolteon, use thunderbolt on Persian.” The lighting Pokémon managed to get up pretty fast and then he send away electricity towards the classy cat Pokémon.
“Quickly Persian, use dig.” Persian jump into the air and managed to dig a hole in the ground avoiding Jolteon’s attack. “Forretress, use zap cannon.” Forretress send away a beam of electricity towards Espeon.
Luna was ready for that. “Quickly Joltoen, stand in front of Espeon.” Tyr had no idea why she did that, but he got his answer, as soon as Espeon took Forretress attack nothing happened, Jolteon was fine.
Tyr was confused right now. ‘What happened? I know that electrical attacks aren’t very efficient against electric Pokémon, then how?’ Then it dawn on him. ‘It’s has to be Jolteon’s ability, volt absorb which makes electrical attacks useless. Damn it.’ Then all he had to do was to take out Jolteon first. “Do it Persian.” Before Luna or her Pokémon could react, Persian came out from the ground and send Joltoen flying. “Now use shadow ball on Espeon.” Persain attack and the sun Pokémon was hit hard which send her flying backwards with Jolteon.
Both Pokémon land on the ground hard. “Are you two okay?” Luna asked them with a worried voice. Both managed to get up. “Good, time to counterattack. Use swift on Persian and use thunderbolt on Forretress.” Both Pokémon attack.
Tyr was ready. “Persian, use dig again. Forretress, use gyro ball.” Persian jump into the hole it had dig before which meant that Espeon’s swift missed. Forretress started to spin very fast which cancelled out Jolteon’s thunderbolt.
Luna had enough when it came to Forretress. “Use psychic on Forretress.” Espeon’s eyes started to glow which stop the bagworm Pokémon dead in its track. “Now, throw him.” Espeon move her head very fast which send Forretress flying it to the stadium wall, knocking him out.
“Forretress is unable to battle.” The judge announced.
Luna was just happy that work, Tyr was just pissed. “Don’t get cocky, do it Persian.” Before Luna could react, the classy cat Pokémon appeared right under Espeon send her flying in the air. “Use shadow ball.” Persian then fired off a black ball from its mouth which hit Espeon right in the stomach, the sun Pokémon landed on the ground with stars in her eyes.
“Espeon is unable to battle.” The judge announced.
“I DON’T BELIEVE IT FOLKS, BOTH TRAINER LOST ONE POKEMON EACH. IT’S NOW A ONE ON ONE BATTLE.”
That suited Luna, she was better one on one then double battle, both trainer called back the Pokémon that was knock out. Now, they just started at each other so did their Pokémon, ready to strike.
Luna attack first. “Use quick attack.” Jolteon started to run very fast towards Persian.
“Use dig.” The classy cat Pokémon jump into the air and dug another hole.
Luna couldn’t help but curse under breath, then she got an idea. “Use thunderbolt into the hole.” Jolteon jump into the air and send away electricity towards the hole, the attack disappeared into the hole and it didn’t take long before Persian reappeared where he had disappeared into. “Use quick attack once more.” Jolteon landed on the ground and then ran as fast he could towards the fallen Persian.
"Persian, use shadow ball.”
Somehow, Persain managed to open its eyes and send away another black ball towards Jolteon while in the air, the attack hit the lightning right in the face, but it didn’t stop him, Jolteon keep on running. He managed to tackle Persian right in the stomach, Persian landed on the ground hard, he was out.
“Persian is unable to battle, Jolteon is the winner, the victory goes to Luna.” The judge announced.
Everyone in the stadium went crazy when they heard that. “THERE YOU ALL HAVE IT FOLKS, LUNA GOES ON TO THE NEXT ROUND.” Said the announcer.
Tyr called back Persian while hanging his head in defeated, he then look over to Luna who had run over to the tired Jolteon to give him a hug. Tyr couldn’t help but smile as he walk over to the.
“Luna.” The former princess look at Tyr as he walk over to her. “Good match.” He then held out a hand, Luna stood up and gladly shook it.
“Thanks Tyr, you are a worthy opponent.”
Tyr was glad to hear that. “Thanks, I hope you make it far in this tournament.” Luna was hoping for that too.
After the match, Luna and the others headed back to the café. Luna’s head hit the table right after she sat down. “I can’t believe I won, I thought Tyr had me when Persian attack while in the air.”
Celestia, who was sitting next to her sister, patted her on the back. “I have to admit, I was on the edge of my seat too, I also thought he had won. Your Jolteon is a tough one.”
Luna sat up and smiled. “He should be, jolteon was the fifth Pokémon I caught, and I have used him a lot.” Celestia believe every word of that.
Then the two sisters look over to Sara who was busy with her camera. “Man, a great battle and I managed to get some great pictures.” The sisters couldn’t help but smile of what Sara said.
Then Dash had to open her big mouth. “Why are you still here, shouldn’t you be heading back home by now?” She was currently sitting at the same table with AJ and Rarity who gave their friend a disappointing look.
Sara just look at Dash with narrowed eyes. “So what if I am still here? I am allowed to stay and take some pictures, aren’t I?”
Dash just snorted and went back to her food. “Whatever.”
That was the last straw for Luna, she got up and slammed both hands on the table. “That’s it, I had enough of your attitude dash. Follow me, NOW.” Dash could see that anger in Luna’s eyes, so she didn’t hesitate at all as she got up and followed Luna as they walk towards the beach.
Sara just watch them with confusion as they walk. “Did I miss something?” She asked James who was sitting beside her. “It’s complicated.” Was the answer she got from him, which confused her even more.
Once Luna and Dash was at the beach, Luna turned to face Dash. “What did I tell you and your friends the day you arrived here?” Dash didn’t look at her. “what did I day Dash?” Luna snap at her.
“You said we should behave.”
“And what did you thought would happened if you didn’t?” Dash didn’t answer her. “Answer me Dash.”
“You would probably send us home.”
Luna nodded. “That’s right. Now I want to know why you have been in a bad mood for these three days, this time you will answer.”
Dash look down at ground in shame. “I’m frustrated.” Luna raise an eyebrow in confusion. Dash look at her with frustration in her eyes. “I’m frustrated that everyone around me can battle with Pokémon and I have to sit on the sideline.”
Luna couldn’t help but groan while paling a hand over eyes. “That is a pathetic excuse, considering you had a Pokémon battle two days ago, which you lost.” Luna removed her hand and took at deep breath. “If you think I am going to fell sorry for then think again,” She then walk over to Dash, so they were face to face. “but are going to change that attitude of your or I will kick you so hard that you will end up in Equestria without help by any crystal, got it?” Luna told her with a threatening voice which made Dash nod. “Good, let head back.” They did and on the way Dash decided not to anger Luna anymore.
