Silent Dawn

Ch.13:Camp Everfree(Aria's Song)

Aria and Silent finished up their unpacking and head out of the tent towards the docks. "This Gloriosa Daisy seems kind of off, don't you think?" Aria questioned Silent. The mute girl nodded in agreement.

"And I saw the way she look at you." She added. I don't like it in one bit. Like she's interested in her or something. Well, Gloriosa, I saw her first and if you try anything, I'll shove my boot so far up your a- "Oof!" She muttered as she walk in to someone.

And that someone was her sister Adagio. "Hey! Watch it!" She shouted. Her expression softened as she gazed behind her.

Aria backed away in alarm. "Oops! Sorry Dagi, I didn't see you there. Right, Silent?"

Silent smiled with amusement and nodded. She wrote something in her notebook and showed it to the former leader of The Dazzlings. "She looks like she's distracted for some reason."

Adagio raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Oh, really?" She inquired. She turn to the purple skinned girl. "Now, tell me Aria, what got you so distracted?"

She glanced at Silent and back at Aria. She leaned close and whispered. "Is it about Silent? Tell me, Ria. Do you want to make out with her or," her smirk widened. "Go skinny dipping?"

Aria's face turn red as she internally screamed. "Dagi! We aren't even dating yet!" She hissed. The yellowed skinned troll chuckled and pat her on the back. "Just messing with you, sis."

All three of them continued towards the docks where a crowd of students surrounded the principles and the camp counselors.

"Lake activities are available every day until sunset, so if you want to canoe, sail, windsurf, or swim, just let me know." Gloriosa said. Fluttershy crouch down near the water to look at the ducks.

"Aren't they the cutest." The animal lover cooed.

Twilight was standing on the dock when a piece of wood snapped. She yelped in shock and about to fall back when Timber caught her in time.

"Whoa!" He exclaimed. "I know I'm charming, but you don't have to fall for me." Adagio and Aria facepalm at the cheesy one-liner.

Flash Sentry was watching them sadly, while Sunset talks to him. "This is a safety hazard." Vice Principle Luna commented as she walk up to the dock with a cautionary look. "I suggest we close down the dock for the remainder of the camp."

All the students complained in disappointment. Silent gazed at the dock in dismay. That means no swimming?! It was such a shame, she was looking foreward to swim with Aria and the others. The way the former sirens talk about it made it so exciting and fun to her.

She felt a comforting arm wrapped around her. Aria smiled at her with easement. "Hey she was talking about the dock, not the whole lake," She said softly . "Besides, we can always sneak at night. " Aria sympathized with a wink.

Silent's blue eyes glimmered with hope as she leaned against her. "Oh, I'm sure it won't be for the remainder of the camp." Gloriosa reasons to them. "Just needs to be patched up a bit. I got this!" She added as she winked and gave them a thumbs up.

Applejack eyed the broken dock curiously. "Huh. Or maybe we do!" She suggested as she walked up to it. "If you asked me, this whole dock needs to go." She emphasized as she kicked one of the small support beams, breaking it easily.

"Building a new one could be our camp gift. Sure, it would benefit us, but a nice dock would benefit future campers, too." She added.

The rest of the campers cheered in agreement. Adagio smirked at the two girls beside her . "Seems like swimming won't be a bust after all." She said. Silent smiled at her two roommates with relief.

"I don't know. It's an awful lot of work." Said Timber Spruce with a point. "I wouldn't want you guys to miss out on other fun camping stuff because you're so busy building a dock for future campers."

After an awkward pause, Rainbow Dash piped up as she walked up to his side. "I hear what your saying, Timber, but we're Canterlot Wondercolts. We've got a reputation to uphold! And there was no way we were gonna leave this place with out contributing the most awesome camp gift ever! I'm with AJ. Building a new dock is definitely it! What do you think?" She asked the others.

The rest of the campers cheered on their support. Rainbow glanced at Silent, who nodded in agreement. Gloriosa glanced at her brother. "I guess that settles it." She said to him. Timber raised an eyebrow at her and shrugged. "Looks like it."

"That's some tension, all right." Adagio told Aria and Silent. Silent watched the siblings with uncertain and nodded. She can definitely sensed it. Her past life made her empathic to the ones around her.

The campers had piped up there ideas for the new dock. They suggest things like reinforcing the foundation to make it nice and sturdy and a sign that says : "Camp Everfree." Fluttershy suggest food despinsers for the ducks and fish, of course and Rainbow Dash suggested that they can add lanterns to see at night.

Rarity gasped as she had an idea. "It's stunning!" She squealed in excitement. "And will make an absolutely perfect runway for my camp fashion show!"

Applejack gave her an inquisitive look and said, "More importantly, it will be a great place for docking canoes and feeding the wildlife." Rarity crossed her arms at her and commented, "Oh, you say "tomato," I say "perfect place to showcase glamorous boho-chic stylings.".

Sonata gave her a confused look. "I thought the phrasing goes like "I said tomato, you said tomahto"?" Aria facepalm. "Go back to sleep, Sonata." She muttered.

"So, what do you guys think?" Twilight asked the principals. They watched them, thoughtfully. "It's going to be a lot of work, but we can do it!" Principal Celestia finally announced. "Yes! Adult supervision!" Pinkie cheered as she hugged her girlfriend, Sonata. "Well, technically I'm thousands of years old. I consider that as a challenge!" Sonata cheered.

They spend the next few hours helping to building the dock. Silent herd Aria giggled as they overheard Timber telling Twilight that he's the "Picasso of noodles."

"That what he said." Aria snickered to her. Silent stared at her best friend with confusement, not understanding the joke. "It's something I learned from watching that show "The Office". She explained.

"Maybe I can introduce you to it once we get back home." She suggest. Silent got out her notebook and wrote. "I would love to watch it with you. Maybe it would be a new experience for us together."

Aria blushed and stared into her eyes; those amazing blue eyes and smiled at her with pure affection. "Yeah, maybe." She agreed as she gently grabbed her hand. She caressed it a little, enjoying how soft her skin is to the touch.

She then pulled Silent into a hug and buried face in her soft golden streak brown hair. Aria felt her heart thump fast as she hold on to the girl she secretly loved. And maybe tonight she would even get to confess her love to her.

Who cares that she lost her pendent or that she can't sing as good as she once was anymore. Silent Dawn is the only thing that matters most to her. This sweet mute girl is the only song in her life. The one that always lifted her spirits when she was around.

Aria slowly break away from the hug to stare into the blue eyes of Silent again. She can never get tired of looking at those eyes. She smiled. "Your eyes remind me of the ocean back where I'm from." She breathed. She glanced away shyly as she added. "They're pretty."

Silent blushed at the compliment and placed her hand against Aria's purple cheek. Aria smiled and leaned against her touch, closing her eyes in content. I love her. Oh, God I love her so much.

"Will you two just buck already?" Shouted a raspy voice, unlike Rainbow's. They both jumped and noticed it was quiet around them.

They look around to noticed the entire camp was watching them. The voice belongs to Vinyl Scratch, who was smiling at them with her arms crossed. Her girlfriend, Octavia glared at her with a stern look. "Vinyl! Mind your manners!"

The white skinned DJ just smirked at her. Their friends, however, including Aria's sisters giggled at them. "That was even more adorable then Timber and Twilight earlier!" Swooned Rarity. She glanced back at the two sitting at the picnic table. "No offense you two."

Timber and Twilight blushed and both chuckled. "None taken." They said in unison. The other purple girl giggled as she chimed in. "Even though I agree with Rarity. You two would make a nice couple." Timber on the other hand was staring at them with a thoughtful look.

Celestia coughed to get everyone's attention. It was already getting dark. "All right now. You made a lot of progress, but it's getting dark now. We can pick this up tomorrow between our other camp activities." She announced.

She walked up to Aria and Silent and added silently, "I have to admit, that was kind of cute. Make me wish I have someone too." They both spring away from each other and stared at each other awkwardly.

"Everyone, get cleaned up, and we'll gather by the fire pit at eight to share s'mores and scary stories!" Gloriosa said cheerfully. She glanced at Silent thoughtfully and walk away. Pinkie hopped up with s'mores ingredients already in hand. "S'mores!" She cheered.

Silent cleaned up quickly and dressed up in her blue long sleeve camp shirt and blue pajamas pants covered with black paw prints. She wrote a note down to tell Aria where she was going and head out of their tent.

She look around and noticed she was the first one ready. She decided to walk down to the lake to watch it while she wait for Aria.

She sat down at the edge and watched the water ripple. Silent thought about her and Aria's interaction earlier. Silent already knew that she was falling for her purple friend who had been her companion and comfort for the past few months she been here.

And she can sense Aria having the same feeling as well. But what if it's too good to be true? She loved Aria with all of her heart. But she's afraid that she's gonna lose her. She already lost one important person in her life and that was her mother.

Her "father" certainly doesn't love her. Silent was seen as a failure to him. As a young child, she always thought that she was in the wrong, that her father would love her if she try to make up to him in some way. But it was never the case, because she was born mute. He always thought that she was faking it or thought he can make her learn by trying to beat it out of her.

After her mother's passing, he used her as a tool. She complied because she thought it would him love her.

Thinking about her past started to make her eyes teared up. She got up and started to pace along the lake. Why does she love me, of all people?! I'm a useless mute! I can't even tell her how I feel out loud. She wailed in her head. She picked up a rock and thrown it in the lake in frustration making a large splash.

Silent slumped back down and cried into her lap Why me?!. "Silent?!" Shouted a familiar voice. She look up with tears streaming down her face to find Aria already rushing over with a worry expression.

"Are you alright? I came here quickly as I saw you pacing." She explained. She sat down beside her as she pull the into a comforting hug. "You're not having another one of your attacks are you?" Aria whispered fearfully.

Silent shook her head. Aria sighed in relief, but quickly her heart sank as she saw tears running down her checks. Her expression soften as she wiped her tears from her face. "Why are you crying?" She asked softly.

Silent embrace her back and buried her face into her shoulder. Aria felt her heart breaking as she felt her Silent shuddered in her grasp. Even though she couldn't hear her, she could tell that she sobbing very hard.

Aria gripped her hard and buried her face into her hair. She started to rock her back and forth. "Please stop crying." She begged. "I can't stand to see you like this. It's getting hard for me to not cry with you." She whimpered.

Already her own eyes start to water. Finally, she can't take it anymore and start to cry with her. She stopped rocking and weep into her hair. "I know you can't tell me what's wrong and it hurts me to see you like this." She sobbed.

Silent heard this and cried even harder with guilt. Eventually both stopped crying and held each other in comfort. Their friends walked over to them and asked if they want to go to the fire pit with them.

Aria told them to go on ahead, that they will meet up with them later. Seeing the condition Silent was in, they quickly agreed and walk towards the fire pit, leaving the two behind.

Once they are out of sight, Silent got out her notebook and wrote down everything that was on her mind. As Aria read what she wrote she felt her breaking heart shattered into million pieces.

She loves me! But she's afraid of losing me. That I don't love her back. But she's wrong.. Silent even asked that if Aria does love her, why her of all people. Silent even called herself a "stupid mute."

Aria gently lifted Silent's head to gaze into her amazing eyes. "Silent, I'm going to be honest with you." She began. "I do love you back. I loved ya the second you invite me and my sisters into your home, when we didn't have nowhere to go. I told you of my past and didn't judge me for it when others did. When you told me of your past, I know it is my place to protect you. Silent, you are an amazing person and don't think otherwise. I don't care that you couldn't speak. I don't care that you are scared for life. That made you special to me. Those scars made you a fighter and you proved it by running away from your abuser."

"That takes guts for what you did. Not many have that privilege, not many have good friends like Fluttershy and her family to help them out. You're not stupid, Silent. You're one of the most caring, most loving, most talented people I know. I look into your sketchpad at home and saw the most talented drawings of dogs I ever saw. Yes, I looked at a few pages, I was home alone that time and I was curious since it's different from the notebook you use to communicate with. What I'm saying is, you are a fighter, Silent." She paused for a moment to caress her check with a thumb to amire the soft creamy brown skin.

"I love you Silent. You mean more to me than any pendant or singing voice. You are my song. The most beautiful song ever wrote about."

Silent gazed at her with wonder, her eyes watering. Aria thought at first it was more tears of sadness, but as she look again she noticed it was tears of joy. Aria smiled and glanced at her lips for a few moments.

She leaned slowly forward and paused. "You know? There's another way I can show you how much I love you, if you're okay with it"

Silent raised an eyebrow, looking confused. Then her eyes widened as she got the message. She smiled and nodded.

Aria smiled back and continued to lean foreward. Silent started to lean foreward as well. Aria place her hand back on Silent's check, rubbing it tenderly with a thumb.

Aria was tingling with excitement and anticipation. She can't belive it, she was about to kiss the most beautiful girl this side of the portal inside and out. She was about to kiss her song. The first step for her to spend her life with.

"Oh, the hay with it!" She muttered as she closed her eyes and finished the connection for them. When their lips finally touched, Aria couldn't even described what was most magical experience is.

It wasn't The Battle Of The Bands, it wasn't when she used her pendent when she used it to feed off of negative emotions, and it wasn't when she and her sisters were blasted by The Elements Of Harmony. The most magical experience is right here; at Camp Everfree, sharing her first kiss with the love of her life.

And as she lifted an eyelid to observe that wonderful girl, she can tell Silent felt it too. Silent put her hand on her shoulder and pushing Aria onto her back as they continued their kiss.

They parted from their kiss for a moment to take a breather. Aria smiled as she gazed into those blue orbes that shines with affection above her. She smirked. "My, my, I guess I know who's on top." She teased lovingly.

Silent blushed and playfully punched her. "Ow!" Aria exclaimed. She chuckled. "I guess I deserve that." Even though, Silent can never say anything, Aria was sure she was laughing as well. There's something about those amazing eyes that made them so expressive.

And those eyes were staring down back at her with all of the love in the world, so much that it would make a changeling back in Equestria have a tummy ache. Silent leaned down and touches her forehead against hers.

Silent felt her heart warm as the girl below her gazed back at her with with pure adoration. She never felt this most love since her mother died. Thinking of her dead mother made her her all sad again.

Aria gazed at her girlfriend with concern as she noticed a hint of sadness in her eyes. She place a hand on her face and caress it soothingly. "What's wrong, love? Why those sad eyes?"

Silent pressed against it with her face as tears welled up. Aria know that face. She seen it enough times to know her love is grieving and there's only one person her Silent is is grieving for. Aria smiled at her lover with sympathy. "Is it about your mother?" Silent nodded as a few tears drop from her face.

Aria motion her lover to lay between her arm and side. As Silent settled down and laid her head on her chest. Aria leaned foreward and kissed Silent's tears away. "Do you want to hear a story of my childhood? Since were now officaly together, I feel like it's an appropriate time to tell you." Silent nodded as her lit up in intress.

Aria sighed. "Here it goes. It's part of the reason i feel connected to you." She said with a smile as she played with her hair. She turn to the audience and winked

"It was around over a thousand years in an underwater city, Coltlantis, on the planet Equus. It's the same planet were Sunset and us came from. But we Sirens and Sunset lives in two separate kingdoms. Adagio, Sonata, and I were born at the same day. We are triplets as you can guess; Adagio is the oldest, I'm the second oldest, and Sonata is the youngest. We came in as a suprise as our parents were inspecting to be only one. We didn't have technology like we have here or trained unicorn doctors like in Equestria. If a female Kelpie knows she's pregnant, she's definitely pregnant. Our parents thought they were having a large baby, but that was not the case"

"Our parents were poor and they were not happy with two more mouths to feed. But it's Coltlantian law to abandon children or giving up children for adoptions. Kelpies are pro family type creatures and believe in family units alot. Our parents have no choice but to keep all three of us. My parents believe in no such things. Coltlantians goes by your income of how much of a family unit you got. The more family, the more pearls, which is our money, you get. I won't go all the details of all that. But what I can say is; the bigger and more purest is the pearls, the more value they got."

Aria pause to give Silent a quick kiss on the lips. She smiled and motion her to go on.

"Anyways, now were am I? Okay I got it. So my parents hates the idea of raising three kelplings, which is the term for young kelpies, at the same time. So they decided to favor Adagio instead and to pretend that Sonata and I ever existed!" She exclaimed as Silent's mouth widened in shock.

"Adagio, of course never abandon us. Since we are triplets, our sisterly bond is pureborn instinct. She never like what our parents did and always sneaks us stuff like food and toys. She always wants to spend more times with us than with our parents. She absolutely hates them."

"By the time we turn around your age, we went exploring in a large underwater cave, when we see something glowing red in the distance. We felt like it was calling for us. Wanting us to get closer to it. That's when we made the biggest mistake of our lives."

Aria paused as she watched Silent take it all in. Silent eyes widened as she snuggled up closer to her.

"We soon found out that the glowing red light comes from three red magic gems that carries dark magic. We heard tales of such gems from the elders, warning us to not to get close them or they would cause you to turn into monsters. We thought it was some fish tale, until we encounter them first hoof. As we got closer, the gems attached themselves to us, getting embeaded in our scales permanently. We and the gems become one, turning us into the very monsters they told us about; Sirens."

"We weren't even ourselves anymore as we cause disharmony and distruction to innocent pony villages. All creatures of Equus are naturally good singers. That's why Sunset Shimmer can easily help the Rainbooms defeat us and freed us from the pendants control of us. But before that the pendents did something to our music magic, causing it to be trapped in the crystals. By making our singing mind control others. That's why they call us "Sirens."."

"By collecting more negative energy, it cause us to become some what immortals. After hearing what we did, our family disowned all of us including Adagio. Then we got banished here and as time went by, The Battles Of The Bands happened and you now how it goes. Our pendents broke, I met you, and you gave us more help then we ever expected."

Aria rolled to her side and cuddled up closer to her soulmate. "And forget all that of me leaving you. I will never leave you, not in a million years. I'd rather die than let that happen. You made me fell that I was wanted and I will always love you for it."

Aria took the moment pause for a minute, to admire her beautiful girlfriend. She leaned closer and pressed her forehead against hers. She then leaned foreward and pressed her lips against hers, starting another kissing session.

Their kissing slowed down in a rhythm, brushing against each other every few seconds. Aria brushed her check, gently caressing it, as she continued to share this blissful moment with the one she loved most.

All good things have to come to the end as they heard footsteps and laughing above them. "I guess I was right." They both sat up quickly and noticed Pinkie Pie smiling above them, holding a paper plate with two s'mores on it.

"You two missed the s'mores and scary stories, so I said out loud "no friend of mine is missing out on some s'mores even if they are secretly making out." So I thought I save you two some and bring it over to you!" She said as she place the plate on their laps. "So enjoy and don't forget to throw that paper plate away."

Aria stared at the treats questionably. "So what did we miss?" Pinkie shrugged. "Just a few scary stories and some blatant foreshadowing, nothing much. Besides this story is mostly about you two right?" She skipped away leaving them alone for a while.

"That pink menace gets even more weirder everyday." Aria commented to Silent as they both picked up a s'more from the plate. Silent just shrugged.

They both finished their s'mores and got up to get ready to go to their shared tent. Aria noticed chocolate still on Silent's lips. She smiled and leaned in to kiss her lips, licking the chocolate from her lips. She parted from the kiss to gaze into her girlfriend's eyes, giggling at the smitten look.

Aria picked up the empty plate and threw it into a near by trashcan. She walked right back to Silent who was waiting for her. Aria stook out a hand for her to hold, lifted it up and kissed it as she led her towards their tent. They decided to go late night swimming tommorow.

A certain pink girl watched the couple in plain sight. Pinkie stared back at the audience with a smile. "Cute couple arn't they?" She asked. Her expression then turn serious. "Stay tune for the last two chapters of this arc. I heard there might even might even tension sturring up."

"What secret Gloriosa Daisy is hiding from the veiwers? Will Sunset uncovered Silent's deep dark secret? Find out on the next Dragonball Z!"
