When you wake up in the morning you had only one thing on your mind. Fucking coffee. You are a major addict to the strong brown liquid you had grown fond for over the years. After getting your lazy ass out of bed and dragging yourself to the kitchen you finally had it. The key to happiness.
As you take a long slow sip of the drink drunk by the pony gods of mount Cantorlot you realize something. You had to get back to Scootaloo. Today was the day she was being released from the local ponyvile hospital. It had been roughly 3-4 months after the incident. That was only because the doctors had found out that the young mare also had internal bleeding.
You were livid pissed that they had not found out sooner that you poor orange was damaged. You were so mad that Rainbow had to drag you out of there before you hurt one of the doctors. Later when you apologized for causing a scene everyone forgave you. But that was a couple of months ago. Seeing as you were lost in thought you bumped into the wall of sugar cube corner.
After beating that walls ass(What a dick)you went into the sweet shop hoping to grab Scoot’s, favorite sweet. It was called Celestia’s hair. When you saw it you almost burst out laughing because of the way this sweet looked. It was exactly like princess ‘Fuck you it’s morning’s hair. You had tried it once and thought that while it tasted good it wasn't exactly your taste of sweet.
After grabbing about a dozen of those you head over to the hospital with a secret package under your wing. As you walked into the office everyone stopped to look at you. Nurse red heart said a small good morning before taking you down the hall. “How have you been Mister Anonymous?’’ She said the caring tone not leaving her voice as she turned the corner.
“Well pretty good beside’s having to fight this wall. The guy looked straight at me and didn’t move!” You said as you gave a menacing look at the wall followed by whispering that you were watching them. Soon you heard the laughter faded from the Nurses voice. Tear’s rolling down her cheeks as she continued to walk forward.
You give her a confused look before walking a little farther out than her. You stop the small white mare with a hand on her shoulder and she turns to look at you. Her eyes are red and puffy and it’s obvious this isn’t the first time she’s cried today. You pull her into a hug without saying anything as she returns your hug. She sits and cries in your arms.
After a couple of minutes, she pulls away and lightly chuckles. You return her smile and sit back up. She looks at you and begins’s “ When I first came to this hospital I met a young filly named Dimond brush. She was an amazing pony who never failed to brighten my spirits. She had lost her parents to a mugging and was put up for adoption. She ran away from the orphanage and lived on the streets and always got into trouble. But she would alway’s come back. One day she said that I was like a mother to her. After awhile I was going to adopt her. I showed up one morning with the papers and a gift. But when I saw the name of lost to injury I broke down. We didn’t normally have one of those so when I saw her name on it I cried. But it went away. But when I got to know Scootaloo she just reminded me so much of her. But it still hurts so much after all this time.”
You look at her and nod in understanding. “When I was in my world I had a sister. I never meet such a sweet girl in my life. She was always so full of happiness and love that could make Maud smile. But she got something called cancer. She was so peaceful when she died. She would laugh and tell us it took a lot more than that to beat her. And in the end… she smiled. She told us not to be sad and to live life for the both of us. She gave me a hug and slipped away. The point of that is that she loved us and wanted us to be happy. The thing about death is it’s not the end, but a new beginning for those willing to take it. Scootaloo reminds me of her a lot but that makes me love her that much more.”
When you finished you had tears running down your face but a smile on your lips.
“How do you get over it. Does the pain ever go away,” Redheart asks you?
“No it alway’s hurt’s, but you learn to live with the pain and learn from it.” You say as you wipe your eyes and you wipe hers. You both laugh a little and get up.
“She’s lucky to have you Anon,” Redheart says.
You look at her and say I know as you both walk away. As you walk in the room you see the orange filly is still asleep. Damn, how does this ball of fluff stay asleep for so long you think to yourself as you walk closer to her? Snickering to yourself you slowly walk towards Rainbow dash while motioning red heart to keep quiet.
You put a hand over Rainbows mouth and shake her awake. She wakes up and you lean closer to her. You tell her your plan and she starts nodding her head. You hand her a cupcake and take one for your self. You both slowly walk over to the sleeping ball of orange fluff. You stop at her bed and motion to Rainbow.
“SURPRISE” You both yell as you slam the cakes on her face. She wakes with a start and looks at you and Rainbow then at your hands then at redheart who is laughing her ass off. Then she licks some of the frosting and nods her head.
“Not bad,” She says while you and rainbow start rolling on the floor with laughter. You only realize she is standing over you when it’s too late. She grabs you and pulls you into a hug. ‘Damn it this my favorite shirt’ You think as the purple frosting is smeared on your shirt. You smirk and grab rainbow dash and a nurse redheart. You are all laughing until Rainbow ask's a question that makes Scott's stop in her tracks...
You both look over at the ball of blue fur that is Rainbow and get a smirk as sinister as the grinches. You pick up your cute little frosting torpedo and take aim. Before the ''fastest pony in Equestria'' can react you launch the torpedo and it makes contact with its target and covers her in the Celestia icing. For all, you know she could be her tail. You continue laughing before, because fuck everything, you slip and fall directly on top of Rainbow...
