Crash Landing

"The Protogen, created by the DSBR, also known as Deep Space Bio-tech Research, were the first ever series before the created Primagen. They were made to explore the deep reaches space and record everything that comes to their interest. There are different types of Protogens roaming the expanded universe, all acquiring information at their own pace. The Protogens are about 40% artificial and have a fully functioning digestive tract. As well as either biological or artificial limbs, that is modular. Meaning the artificial limbs are sort of a plug and play system. Eating for their part, is not a hassle. They can eat almost anything, as long as it gives their bodies the proper nutrients to survive. 'How are they able to do this?' You ask, well the simple answer is due to their particle visor. When eating, their visors break down all organic and some in-organic materials to their base structure to give their bodies the necessary nutrients it needs. Just remember, the Protogens are made to seek knowledge and peace to all equally peaceful living organisms across the vast universe. And always remember, "Knowledge is Everything". -This advertisement is brought to you by, DSBR, the production of perfect lifeforms is always on the go." The advertisement showed in one of the orange holo-panels of the ships terminal. As soon as the advertisement ended, all following ads were removed on command, and the orange holo-panel reverted back to showing the ships status.

The sound of claws hitting metal was being heard through the ship, as the being from whom the claws belong to move towards the ships piloting console. The Protogen had blue fur for his primary colors, and turquoise green as his secondary colors. His white alloy plating across his chest, on his shoulders, as well as his wide hips are all clean and spotless of dirt. An orange glow comes from his shoulders and the side of his hips, showing a thin orange cross, across the nanite field. An orange glow also emits from the particle visor of the Protogen, showing a orange jagged pattern on where the mouth should be, and orange curves and circles for the nose and eyes respectively. The Protogen was designated as M-10 (Medic Series No. 10), or as he would like to be preferred as, Mio.

Mio was listening to music as he approached the ships pilot console, to start moving the ship forward through the endless space. He then sat down on the pilots chair and opened the consoles holo-panels and held the consoles yoke, basically the ships steering wheel. He then fiddled with a few holo-panels, then held a lever near the side of the yoke, and pushed forward, to increase the photon engines power. The then flipped a few switches and pressed a few buttons, and finally placed his hand on a horizontal lever. He then counted from 5 to 1, then pushed the lever forwards, activating the ships FTL drive.

"Hmmmm..... for beings who just started multi world exploration, humans sure do make good music." Mio said while listening on the ongoing music, humming along with the rhythm of the song as his ship flies though space in light speed. The ship that he currently owned was a Nexus class Avali Frigate Ship, that can hold about 8 more crew members, excluding drones and service bots. While the hull of the ship could only take so much hull damage, the ship boasts in large amounts energy shield power, even in its small frame.

Mio got the Nexsus Ship from an Avali colony planet, unfortunately his previous ship had a malfunctioning photon engine, so he had to do an emergency landing on an unregistered planet, but fortunately he did manage to find some friendly colonists in the planet. In the end, he had to sell his previous ship, but saved a few essential ship components and modules that he installed as soon as he bought a new ship that came from one of the ship merchants in the hanger of the colony.

The Nexus was flying through the endless space, traveling faster than the eye could see. Soon the Nexus stopped traveling, and was now floating near another unknown solar system. Weirdly enough, the solar system only had one planet, a sun and a moon around the planet. This may be unusual or even impossible to others, but for Mio, this was just uncommon, and would not even consider the phenomenon a rare sight. Mio was surveying the rather small system, safely scanning the planet from a safe distance. But what he did not manage to survey and scan was a stray space rock approaching his ship at high velocity. Unfortunately, this went unnoticed by the Protogen, due to the ships field scanner being occupied, due to it being used to survey the planet below the ship.

The space rock soon hit the Nexus ship, but not the hull of the ship. The meteor hit one of the most important things the ship needs, in order to function properly. The Photon Engines. As the space rock hit the ships engines, the whole ship shook, due to the explosion that occured, and the Protogen fell forward, face first, into a control terminal. Mio then stood up and rubbed the back of his head to relieve some pain. Just then the ships lights turned red giving out a warning signal, and Mio's ears went down, with a deadpan expression on his visor. He then looked at the main console, and saw the warning the ship was projecting, it was projecting damaged engines. Mio sighed as he hanged his head down, then stood back up to move towards the main console. Everything was fine, until the ship suddenly jerked forward, making the Protogen loose his sense of balance, and his face meeting another friend named console.

It was near the end of the night and Princess Luna was making last minute changes to the night sky before she forgets about it the next night. She was moving some stars to their designated positions, as well as setting up the annual Star Fall (Meteor shower) of the year, for ponies and other creatures to see tomorrow night. She was moving some of the rocks in space to their designated positions, she slightly wondered why one of the rocks that she was moving slightly stopped, but then it continued forward when she gave it a bit more pull with her magic. She was then content at what she did, now that the rocks were in place, and now knowing that it was time to pull down the moon, she did exactly that and used her magic to hold the moon and bring it down, so that Princess Celestia could bring up the sun. The sun then rose and Princess Luna retreated to her chambers to rest, unknown to both of them, something from the sky fell down into their world.

Mio recovered from his fall by raising his claw up to grab the top of his command console. He then pulled himself up, although he did not stand, instead rested the top of his body on the command console of the ship. He then sighed while his 'eyes' were closed as he rested his head to the side. He then suddenly felt a shift of his weight, as if something was pulling him forward. He opened his 'eyes' and looked forward, towards the large windshield of the ship, only to see the surface of the planet he was surveying, rapidly approaching. He then had a face, a face that would indicate that this has happened in more than a few times in his entire life.

ಠ_ಠ "Crap, not again." He said as the ship plummets towards the planets surface.
