Dear Journal,

Today I'm starting to write down my thoughts and what happens every day. I'm Princess Celestia, and I'm ten years old. My mom is Queen Galaxia and my dad is King Cosmos. They rule over Equus and they're really good at it.

I'm excited to start this journal. My sister, Luna, who's seven, will write in here too. We'll share what we learn and do.

Mom and Dad said it's good to write about things we like. I really like cake—it's so yummy! And bananas are great too. But I can't have cake all the time, so I'll keep that just between us, okay?

Luna will write soon. We're supposed to take care of this journal and not read each other's parts until we're older. That'll be fun to do when we grow up.

I can't wait to fill this journal with all our adventures and friends.
