The Clocks Are Spinning

The Problem

"Ok ok!" Ditzy yelled sitting down, "What is happening?"

"Well, you remember when I told you about loops?" The Doctor asked rushing around, setting up the TARDIS.

"Yes, you said that beneath the lava and changelings there is something that causes that." Ditzy said as her eyes began to move in different directions.

"Yes! That's exactly the problem," The Doctor said, stopping to catch his breath, "the days have stopped looping."

"So?" Ditzy asked, "It's already back in time, nopony can go back in time besides us."

"It's not that simple," The Doctor sighed, "things can happen in the past, let's say the day I met you, instead of me meeting you, your mother could, and that's because the days didn't loop!"

"So without the loop, anything could happen?" Ditzy asked, now realizing why the Doctor was so stressed.

"Exactly! It could change anything in the present, you could not exist! If this goes on the whole world could explode!" The Doctor yelled.

"Ok well, where are we going first?" Ditzy said, as her eyes began to stop spinning.

"Well we can't just confront what is doing it, remember what happened last time we tried that?" The Doctor said.

Of course Ditzy remembered, they had tried to get the TARDIS to defeat the Weepers, instead it transported them to the royal Canterlot gardens, where Ditzy got an angel in her head, where she nearly died.

Ditzy nodded, "Then what do we do, how do we find out what's doing it?"

"The million bit question." The Doctor sighed sitting down, "I'm starting to get very tired of this job."

Ditzy walked over to the Doctor, who now had his face in his hooves. She sat down next to him and rubbed his back. She sighed softly, the Doctor had barely slept throughout this whole trip, he stayed up long in the night, staring at the moon. Ditzy would have to call him back to bed, he needed to sleep, he had to be in top physical condition, if he was hurt, the world would be hurt.

"Doctor, it's not all bad, I can help, just tell me what to do." Ditzy said. He had already taught her how to use the TARDIS, she could now control it quite well.

Just then the Doctor snapped up, "I got it! All we have to do is get to a safe enough place then use something to spy!"

"Spy? If you don't know, I'm not the best at sneaking." Ditzy said.

"I know, but that's ok! It doesn't matter, there has to be something we can use, I could make something." The Doctor said, rushing into a back room. He came back out with a fez on his head.

"Why are you wearing that?" Ditzy asked looking at the hat.

"It's a thinking cap, helps me concentrate." The Doctor said, trying to think of ideas.

"Sometimes Doctor, I feel like I'm the only sane one here." Ditzy whispered to herself, facehoofing.

----------------------

"Doctor, this is a death wish, don't do this!" Ditzy whispered to the Doctor.

After the Doctor had sat for awhile with his "thinking cap" he had come up with an idea, he had used a shut down Dalek, gotten rid of the wires, then got in it. The two had traveled far enough away that they could get set up, but they still didn't know what was doing all this. Using a radio signal was too dangerous, they could be discovered, killed.

"We don't even know if these are Daleks!" Ditzy hissed.

"I'm willing to take the risk, anyways almost every evil thing in this galaxy is happy to have the Daleks on board, it's not like they will get mad, and anyways it could be Daleks who are running this business. I've done stupider things before." The Doctor said.

"Like what?" Ditzy asked.

"Like leaving you." The Doctor said giving her a kiss.

He handed her a walkie-talkie, "Ok so the channel is 7, turn it to that and speak into it to hear me." The Doctor said, showing her what to do.

"Okay I got it," Ditzy said, "I swear to Celestia if you die..."

Ditzy began to cry, what if the Doctor died, what if she died? Who would take care of Dinky? What would they do?

The Doctor sat Ditzy down and sighed, "You have to believe in me. You have to be strong, do it for me, please."

Ditzy looked up, "Please don't go, I don't want you to get hurt."

"Ditzy, sometimes ponies have to get hurt, it doesn't matter what you try to do to stop them. If I don't get hurt, more will. Ponies could die, so please, be strong." The Doctor said, as he gave her a small kiss on the cheek.

As the Doctor went out the door, pulling the Dalek along, Ditzy sighed. It was going to be a long night.

------------------

The Doctor pulled the Dalek behind a tree, "Why is this thing so heavy?" The Doctor whispered, trying to pull harder.

After successfully getting it behind the tree, the Doctor climbed into the shell, "Even dead you are a pain in the flank." The Doctor grumbled, after hitting his head. After getting in the Doctor began to control the Dalek, using the sonic to hack into the control system.

"Ok so if I do this, you should move forward." The Doctor said, trying to get the Dalek to move, which it did.

The Doctor traveled to the spot of which the radio signal was coming from, soon a call came in on the walkie-talkie.

"Doctor! Are you ok? Are you hurt?" Ditzy yelled into the walkie-talkie.

"Relax Ditzy, I'm perfectly fine, are you ok? I feel like you need to relax a bit." The Doctor said calmly.

"I, maybe should relax a bit, you're right." Ditzy said quietly.

The Doctor found the radio signal, smiling he pulled out the sonic to try to destroy it, as he was about to, a voice came from behind him.

"HALT!" A robotic voice yelled to the Doctor.

The Doctor froze dropping the sonic, which landed onto the ground below.

Ditzy snapped awake, hearing the yell of the Doctor.
