Three days ago "no I know you're captain of aunt Celestia's Royal Guard but nopony has ever come in contact with a creature like this please don't go begged Princess Cadence."
Shining Armor told his pink alicorn wife with a long blonde mane and tail that has shades of dark pink and purple in it as he wiped the tears from her purple eyes "hey don't worry there's no way i'll let a griffon/ changeling hybrid get the best of me plus do you want them to attack and take over Canterlot."
Princess Cadence told him" no but ..."
Shining Armor asked her "but what?"
Princess Cadence told him while she once again started crying "what if you don't come back?"
Shining Armor hugged and kissed his wife and then told her "hey now don't say stuff like that one way or another i'll definetly come back to my beautiful wife."
Princess Cadence said after doing a cute and adorable blush "ok i'll see you again my handsome husband."
Two and a half days later at the griffon kingdom of Griffala Shining Armor and several other unicorn Royal Guards were fighting the griffon/ changeling hybrids when suddenly one of them snuck up behind him and stabbed him in the back with his claws, he then finished off the white unicorn stallion by grabbing his spear and stabbing through his Royal Guard armor right through the chest.
One day later three royal unicorn guards carrying a dead Shining Armor knocked on the castle doors Princess Cadence expecting the safe return of her husband answered the door but when she saw the three guards carrying his dead body she asked them as she started crying "what happened to him please tell me."
They sighed before telling her "Princess Cadence yesterday a griffon/ changeling hybrid snuck up on and stabbed him in the back with his claws, he then grabbed the Captain's spear and stabbed him through his royal guard armor i'm sorry."
Princess Cadence said while screaming as tears continued falling out of her purple eyes "no no NO!!!"
Princess Celestia, her younger sister Princess Luna and Twilight Sparkle who was visiting Canterlot castle until her older brother's return all showed up and asked Princess Cadence "Cadence what's wrong?" Princess Cadence pointed to the three Royal Guards holding the dead body of Shining Armor.
Tears started falling out of Twilight Sparkle's purple eyes too as she said "no it can't be my BBBFF (Big Brother Best Friend Forever is dead please wake me up from this nightmare."
Princess Cadence told the lavender unicorn mare with a bluish purple mane and tail that has shades of pink and purple in it as she wrapped her pegasus wings lovingly around her sister in law "it's going to be ok Twilight we'll get through this together."
Princess Celestia decided that her niece and most faithful student needed some alone time to cry and hug each other. The next day Princess Cadence, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, several unicorn and pegasus Royal Guards, Twilight Sparkle, Twilight's parents, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Spike were all at Shining Armor's funeral.
Applejack told Twilight in the trademark southern accent that all members of the apple family talk in "i'm real sorry about your brother."
Pinkie Pie who nuzzled up to Twilight Sparkle told her as her usually happy go lucky self was frowning and sad told her "i'm super duper sorry too."
Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Spike all told her at the same time "we're all very sorry Twilight come on let's go back to Ponyville.
Twilight Sparkle shook her head and told them "thanks but no thanks I want to stay here for a while make sure my parents and Princess Cadence are ok."
Rarity asked her in the trademark British accent that she talks in "are you sure about that darling?"
Twilight Sparkle told Rartiy "yeah i'm sure don't worry about me besides I want to return to the castle and take off my black dress." The other five members of The Mane Six and Spike the dragon all gave her a group hug and told her goodbye."
