It had been a few days since Steel had been released from the hospital. His side was still a bit sore from where he'd been slashed at, so he had to be careful when it came to avoid putting stress on it. Steel had texted Rainbow Dash that he'd been released. Wonder what she's got planned for me now that I'm out? Steel thought to himself as he slipped on his jacket. Well, I'd hate to keep her waiting. Steel headed out the door, and saw Rainbow Dash waiting for him outside Sugar Cube Corner. "Yo!"

"Heh! Took you long enough!" Rainbow Dash joked as she greeted Steel. "C'mon! I know the perfect thing to help complete your recovery!" Rainbow Dash led Steel up to the bar seats. "Pinkie! We need two sundaes!" Not a minute later, Pinkie Pie had already whipped up the dessert in question. "Thanks Pinkie!" Rainbow Dash immediately set to eating her sundae at a pace which puzzled Steel.

"I didn't think there was anything you'd enjoy taking your time with." Steel said with a chuckle. "Of course, you can't fly well with a case of brainfreeze."

Rainbow Dash smirked at that. "And here I was thinking you didn't have a sense of humor soldier-boy. But seriously. The sweets here aren't the kind of thing your just wolf down. ESPECIALLY the ice cream." Rainbow Dash stuffed yet another spoonful of ice cream into her mouth. "Mmmm! So goood!"

"It's also sweet." Steel said as he ate another spoonful. "Just like you."

Rainbow Dash blushed and her wings shot out! "W-What do you mean by that?!"

"Burst Stream said someone was crying their eyes out over me after I collapsed in my fight a few days ago." Steel looked into Rainbow Dash's eyes, and smiled. "And he said that he'd leave them and I alone after I woke up in the hospital. Last I checked, you were the only other person in the room with me."

Rainbow Dash managed to tear her gaze away from Steel, and back to her sundae. "Well...I like you Steel. Because you remind me of myself in some ways. You're confident, badass, and you always go the extra mile for the people you care about. Especially when Fear Saber sent that sharp greeting card." She then returned her gaze to Steel. "And in some ways, I like you because you're not like me. You're level-headed, pretty cool under fire. Not to mention you're usually so chill no matter how awesome you do something. Plus, you're the only one with enough guts to try and kiss me. Most guys aren't into the kind of girl who could beat the snot out of them."

"Too bad for them." Steel said with a smile. "Because you're 20% cuter when you're blushing." 

Rainbow Dash's blush had faded, but it was still somewhat present. "And you'd look 20% more cool if you didn't have a bit of ice cream on your face."

"Really?" Steel asked. "Where is it? I think I can use a napkin to-" Steel was cut short as Rainbow Dash cupped his face and planted another kiss! "...Is this gonna be a thing for us?"

Rainbow Dash smirked. "Do you want us to be a thing?"

"I don't know if we are one right now." Steel said with a nervous smile. "But I wouldn't mind seeing where we go."

Rainbow Dash giggled. "If it means I can keep score of our kiss counts, I guess I could slow things down." She then held onto Steel's hand. "Maybe that'll even let us enjoy each other more too." She then noticed both of their sundaes starting to melt. "But I don't think our sundaes are gonna wait for us!" The two shared a laugh, and polished off the last of their sundaes. "I gotta go now. Have fun doing your hero thing!"

Steel smiled as he waved goodbye. I feel better already.
