As the dust settled, nopony dared to move, they had all seen what happened and were all now shellshocked not knowing what to do, the silence was broken by Aioria who trotted up to Mu. "Mu, did you...?" The implication was left unsaid.
"No." Mu shook his head. "She teleported away at the last possoble moment." Twilight released a breath she didn't know she was holding at the statement, she knew they were soldiers, she knew the enemy was serious, she just hadn't made the transetion fron tought to reality.
Far away, in the frozen barren a flash of light disturbed the uniform whiteness of the snow, and from it emerged the battered embodiment of envy, while she had indeed made out with her life it was apparent that she had recived the runt of the attack, she fell to her knees her breath haggard and raspy, the titanic effort of a rushed long distance teleport taking its toll on her body, as she recovered she raised her head revealing her eyes full of mad fury. "Youll pay for this... YOULL PAY FOR THIS!!!" Starlight's cry of vengeance echoed trough the mountains as she once again flashed away towards no one knows where.
Shortly after restoring some semblance of order to the town, our heroes returned by train straight to Canterlot in order to report back to princess Celestia, during the trip the mares had taken to storming Mu with questions about him, his party preferences, fashion sense and in Twilight's case a detailed interrogation on the scope of his powers, much to Aioria's amusement. Finally arriving they proceeded to the throne room witch had been completely restored after the botched assasination attempt, as the group made its way Mu caught his first glance at the goddess of the sun standing regally before her elevated throne in all her magesty and at the foot of said throne stood a vaguely familiar pegasus sporting a very familiar armor.
"Ah! It's goos to see you in good health after so long." He said recognizing the ponified saint of Sagittarius.
A smile formed on the face of the pegasus in question. "Likewise M..."
"Stardust." Interripted Mu. "I belive it be more fitting wouldnt you agree...? Golden Arrow? Mu said with a sly grin on his face, while Aioros just gaped in shock wondering how it had come to this, the mistery solved itself when his dearest brother 'Lightning Bolt' failed to keep a straight face and let out a chuckle witch he tried to cover up faking a cough, unamused 'Golden Arrow' shot his brother a mild glare.
"Greetings my little pony." Came celestia's greeting focusing attention to herself once more, wether she was aware of the little joke beingh shared at Aioros' expense she gave no indication.
"It is a privilege to finally meet you Princess Celestia, i have heard many things about you from your student." Mu said as he courteously bowed before the goddess of the sun.
"Rise my little pony, now i trust that you have been made aware of the great menace that looms over our land."
"Indeed, i have been briefed on the way here, and also we faced one such foe before coming here." Princess Celestia was startled at this revelation, since Twilight had left Spike to tend to the castle she had not been able to send a letter so she had just assumed that their little adventure hadn't involved any danger, now however she felt anxious, so the next thing she did was not so subtly request a full report from Twilight.
"I see, well that's quite the adventure you all had." As the report ended, witch included a very entertainig sock puppet performance by Pinkie, Celestia sighed in relief, things had actually turned very well for them they exposed an enemy ploy to undermine her citizens, repeled an enemy agent and succesfully retrieved one of the ten missing saints, and speaking of said saint, she had not yer heard his opinion on the matter. "Sir Stardust." Mu perked at the mention if his 'name'. "You have now heard everything about our situatipn, what do you intend to do from now on?"
Mu took a moment to consider this and promptly gave his answer under the inquiring gazes of all present. "We saints are sworn defenders of the innocent, even if this is not our own world this remains unchanged, i will aid you in your time of need." Thecend of his declaration was highlighted by a loud boom and a rain of confetti courtesy of Pinkie Pie acompanied by the cheers of her friends.
It was then decided that 'Stardust' would join 'Lightning Bolt' in the frienship castle to aid in the protection of the bearers as well as the search for the remaining saints while 'Golden Arrow' would serve as personal bodyguard of the princesses untill there were more hooves available to go around.
After a good night's sleep Twilight and the gang went back to Ponyville where they would prepare for whatever came their way.
