Chapter 8 - The reunion

Chapter 8 - The reunion

The air was cold around Simon as he flew over the lands of equestria. The moon was hidden behind thick clouds, spending a weak light.

Simon realized at once he was dreaming. He has seen this scenery so often already. But this time something was different. He felt like he was heading to a certain place.

He raised his head and saw the raw shape of centalot in front of him. He never visited this place before but as he came closer he could make out single buildings, structures and places.

Amazed by the size of the city and its great architecture, he didn't notice he was heading to a high tower of the castle. He slowly flew around it in circles until a figure stepped on the balcony of this tower.

Simon recognized princess Luna at once. He flew closer and landed next to her. She didn't seem to notice him at all and just stared down at the sleeping city, then looked at the stars with a deep sigh. Simon raised his head as well and watched the night sky, which became visible behind the moving clouds.

"During my imprisonment on the moon," the princess suddenly said,"I always wondered if there are others out there who share the same fate as me. Seeing what you desire in front of you but never able to reach."

Simon looked at the princess. She was still facing the sky, her eyes showing a certain sadness.

"I thought my fate was the worst," Luna continued,"I was punished for wishing for a life with my underlings playing games, having fun and enjoying the night. But at night they all slept and I was alone. Only my memorys and my wrath made me endure this long isolation, wishing for revenge and eternal night." She lowered her head."I was so wrong. Twilight and her friends showed me that my wrath was no match for their friendship. My wrath would have brought not only an end to equestria as we know it, but also to me."

"I accepted my fate, buried my anger and began from anew. Though the ponys still sleep at night I now realized that they sleep well because it's save as long as I guard them. And its even possible for me to make new friends with those who live in the night as well."

Luna turned to Simon."Then I met you, Simon. And I realized my banishment is nothing against what you have to endure right now. While my memorys saved me from total insanity and an end was in sight for me, you cannot cling to anything. And furthermore, you don't belong here."

Simon stared directly into her sad eyes."I know this is not my place. But how am I supposed to make it back? What shall I do?"

Luna closed her eyes."What does your heart tell you to do?"

Simon hesitated, then looked down:"I don't know."

"If you are lost, only your heart can tell you whats right. And where you belong." Luna opened her eyes again and turned for her chambers.

As she walked towards her rooms Simon followed until he felt a pull at his back. No one was behind him but something pulled him away from the balcony. He reached for Luna but was too far away. He called for her, but no words left his lips. Then he fell. He turned around midair to see the palace gardens below him, suddenly bursting in flames. "Listen to your heart", echoed through Simon's mind before he fell into the flames.

His eyes snapped open and he got up in an instant, breathing heavily. This dream seemed much more realistic than those he had before. He could even remember Luna's words. His heart pounded wildly in his chest. It took a moment before he cooled down again.

As he relaxed he noticed that he was at a familar place, namely Twilight's library. It took him a while before he remembered how he ended up here. He was about to use magic against Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Applejack, who tried to stop them, then teleported away. He couldn't remember everything though. It was like there were gaps in his memories. He only felt, that he was about to do something terrible to the ponys. He felt miserable, not sure what to do next.

He got up, shouldered his backpack and looked around. The Library seemed abandoned. It was getting dark outside but there was light in the library, so there must still be someone...

"Wow...that was creepy!", a voice said behind Simon.

Simon turned around and saw Spike hiding behind his sleeping basquet, staring at Simon.

The young dragon continued:"I'm used to see Twilight teleporting, but you sure surprised me, booming like this in the library and laying there like dead, and shimmering green!"

Simon rubbed his head."How long was I asleep?"

"Dunno," Spike said, shrugging his shoulders,"maybe for some seconds only. Since when can you teleport?"

"Since some seconds," Simon said,"seems like it worked."

"Yeah, if you want to make an dramatic appearance of course," Spike giggled moving over to Simon with a smile.

Simon didn't feel like smiling."Twilight told me that I can find a descritption and a train ticket to centalot."

Spike turned around and took some papers from a nearby table."Here you go."

"Thanks, Spike. I'll be on my way." Simon turned around to leave.

"Wait," Spike said in surprise,"it's getting dark already. You wanna go there this late?"

"Why not?," Simon answered,"the plan here says that the train drives even at night too."

"That's not what I meant," Spike instisted.

"Yes, I have to leave immediately," Simon said in an harsh voice.

Spike bobbed up and down on his small feet and looked to the ground."You are not mad at me about what happened before in the forest with Rainbow Dash, aren't you?"

Simon looked at the small dragon, then smiled."No I'm not. Ah...And you just remembered me of something." Simon grabbed into his pockets and handed Spike most of his money."Here. I was supposed to meet with Rarity for dinner, but I'll have to let her down. Perhaps you can jump in for me."

Spike looked at the coins in his hands."A dinner with Rarity?" He suddenly seemed absent, staring at one of the shimmering coins and kissing it.

"Yes. She's waiting at her boutique," Simon continued,"you better dress up quick and go see her."

Spike just nodded and quickly vanished through a door at the next level. Simon on the other hand turned to the library door. As he left the building he could hear Spike's voice behind him calling:"Thanks, Simon".

Simon closed the door behind him. Looking at the description he followed his path to the trainstation. On his way he came by Rarity's boutique. He stayed in the shadows of nearby bushes and sneaked by, because Rarity was already waiting for him in the entrance door. She was well-dressed and more pretty than usual, smiling and obviously excited for the dinner. Simon just went on. As he turned around again, he could see a well-dressed Spike arriving. After short words the smile on Rarity's face faded. Simon couldn't hear what they were saying but he could figure it out.

"Sorry Rarity," Simon whispered,"but it's better this way. I cause too much trouble and Spike would fit much better to you."

After 10 minutes of walking Simon finally reached the train station. The clock at the train station showed him that he still got 5 more minutes before the next stop so he sat down at a nearby bench. He leaned back and looked at the beautiful night sky above. The horizon, colored in a mix of dark blue and green, showed, that the sun just settled, only lightening the sky before changing to night. Simon watched the colors and scenery, trying to relax and forget what happened that day.

"SIMON!"

Simon looked up in surprise as a voice called out loud for him and turned around.

"How dare you leave me hanging like this?", Rarity shouted angrily, stomping with her front hooves.

Simon just sighted and turned back to the sky. Rarity got closer."Are you even listening?!" When she stood next to him, Simon said calmly:"I'm sorry, Rarity, but I've to leave at once."

"And instead of telling me you send poor little Spike to me?", Rarity snorted angrily,"I thought better of you!"

Simon turned around to Rarity:"Why? Is Spike not good enough for you to tell you?"

"What? That's not the point", Rarity snapped,"You could at least tell me in person, like a gentleman, instead of this foulish play."

Simon's face became grim:"I'm not the gentleman you are thinking me to be. All I want right now is to leave this place."

Rarity, still angry, looked at him questioning."Why do you want to leave so fast all of a sudden?"

Simon turned away from Rarity again."I can't tell you, sorry."

Rarity galloped in front of him, then leaned forward, deeply and angrily looking into his eyes. Simon leaned back in surprise."Don't avoid me Simon. Or do you think I don't deserve an answer?"

Simon stared at her big blue eyes, then turned away."I like you, that's why I can't tell."

"That doesn't make sense, Simon", Rarity exclaimed, tapping a hoof against Simons chest,"If you like me, you should be honest with me."

Simon got up, pushing Rarity aside carefully and walked a few steps before he turned around for her.

Insisting, Simon said:"I'm a monster Rarity. I bring danger to this peaceful place. Just some minutes ago I was about to ...do something terrible to your friends. And I can't remember completely what happened." Simon looked down the trailroad, a light slowly coming in sight."That's why I have to leave immediately."

Rarity's face softened a little."Simon...you are not a monster. How can you possibly think this?" She trotted up to him."You are just a bit different from us ponies, but that doesn't make you a monster."

Simon faced her again."You don't get it. I lost myself. I was about to hurt your friends and wouldn't care about it."

"But you didn't, did you?" Rarity asked."You stopped before anything happened. And now you worry about them, don't you?"

Simon just nodded absently.

"See? A monster wouldn't care at all", Rarity said with a slim smile,"You are not so different at all."

Simon was speechless. He just stared to his feet. He felt a knot in his throat; tears gathering in his eyes."Oh Rarity." He dropped on his knees."I'm so sorry."

„Ah...now calm down, Simon“. Rarity put a hoof on his shoulder.“Please calm down.“

Easy to say, but at that very moment Simon just felt sorry for what happened that day. He put his arms around Rarity's neck and buried his face at her neck, crying into her white fur. Rarity put her hooes around Simon and hugged him back, while he weeped at her shoulder.

„Simon?“

He heard someone calling his name, but at first he just continued sobbing at Rarity's side. Then he slowly raised his head with a confused look. That voice was familar to him.

He looked over Rarity's shoulder and saw a group of ponys entering the train station platform, namely Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Spike stood next to them.

Simon's eyes widened, panic rising up. He pushed himself away from Rarity and backed away.“No! Go away!“ Simon called, his voice sore from the crying.

„Simon,“ Applejack exclaimed,“ya nearley scared us to death.“

„Yeah. Exploding right in front of us and leaving us behind,“ Rainbow Dash added, “Not cool for a friend.“

„I...I'm not a friend,“ Simon sniffled,“I'm dangerous!“ He stopped backing up and rested with his back against a nearby wall. The ponies came closer.

„You don't seem dangerous to me,“ Fluttershy whispered,“you look scared. Like when we first met you in Everfree forest.“

„I...I...nearly hurt you...maybe even killed you all before....,“ Simon stummered.

„And you called me a mule,“ Pinkie Pie added.

„Pinkie Pie!,“ Rainbow Dash snapped.“I don't think thats the right moment!“

„Why not?“ Pinkie Pie said with a grin on her face,“Do you really think I took that for serious? I knew Simon was just having some problems, that's all“. She fixed her eyes on him.“I can't be angry with someone so adorable and funny.“

Simon looked at the ponies in confusion.“Wait...what? You are not angry with me? Even after all what I did to you?“

They just shoke their heads and smiled at him.

Again Simon felt tears coming up. He wiped them away with his shirt and smiled back at the ponies in front of him.“Thank you!“ He turned to Pinkie Pie.“And sorry for calling you a mule, Pinkie.“

She trotted to him and leaned forward, her face close to his.“Apology accepted!,“ she said with a broad grin. Then she leaned forward and gave him a small kiss.

Simon blushed at the sudden sensation and stared at Pinkie Pie. She on the other hand put a hoof on her mouth and tried to stifle a giggle...without success.

„HaHa. Oh Simon. You look so funny!“ she laughed, tears gathering in her eyes.

He needed a moment to realize what she was laughing about, then smiled. He reached out for her mane and petted her before giving her a big hug.“Oh Pinkie. You are so random“, he said with a sniff, closing his eyes.

Suddenly he felt some pressure on his shoulders. He opened his eyes to see, that the other ponies joined in for a group hug, all smiling at Simon. Rarity and Spike stood nearby and watched him with a smile.

„Let's be friends again, shall we?“ Fluttershy whispered. Simon couldn't agree more.

The peaceful moment was interrupted by a loud whistle. The pony express arrived at the trainstation and the doors opened. A few ponies stepped out and left the trainstation. A conductor pony wearing a blue suit stepped out of the train.“The next train to centalot is departing in one minute. Please hurry and step in.“

„Seems like my train has arrived,“ Simon said. The ponies backed up a bit to make space for him. Simon got up, picked up his backpack and moved slowly to the train.

„Do ya really want to leave reight now?,“ Applejack asked.

Simon stopped near the door and turned around for his friends.“I really should go to centalot at once. I need to know what's wrong with me.“ As he turned for the door again, he heard a loud grumble from his stomach. A very loud grumble.

Rainbow Dash barely managed to hide her laughter. “I think I know whats wrong with you.“

Rarity stepped closer to Simon.“You know...the evening is still young. There is still enough time for what we planned for tonight.

Simon's eyes stared into the mare's eyes, a smile forming on his face.

„And then he jumped up and followed me like'wait for me'. I sure was impressed for a moment. And the way Simon made the sand burst was totally awesome. It will take a whole week to get my mane free of dirt again.“

They all laughed when Rainbow Dash finished her part of the story. Simon could remember that scene very well.

Simon had skipped his train and they all went to the restaurant, where he and Rarity were supposed to go on dinner. Instead they all had fun and laughed about their storys about what happened in the last few days.

„That wind spell you just mentioned Rainbow Dash, “Fluttershy said,“I think it was the same spell he used on my manticore-friend to save me. Am I right Simon?“

„Yes, you are right“, Simon answered.“It was like in reflex though. I tried to find a way to get him away from you instead of...burning you away.“ He said the last words in a low voice and lowered his head.

Fluttershy saw his worried face and quickly continued:“Yeah. And after he recovered from the wind spell you had to endure his tickle-attack as revenge. I never heard you laughing that hard.“

They all laughed again. Even Simon fell in, remembering the situation in Fluttershy's garden.“Definetly better then being mauled I guess“, he laughed.

They had finished their meal long ago and it felt like it has been hours they spent on chatting and laughing. And it was late indeed. Pinkie Pie was about to tell her story about chaising Simon, when they heard a loud snoring. Spike fell asleep sitting next to Rarity. The ponies all „awwww“ed at his sleepy dragon baby face.

„Oh. Poor Spikey whikey needs to hit the bed“, Rarity whispered.“I think it's late enough already.“

„Let's call it a night then, Ah guess,“ Applejack said with a yawn. So they all stood up and left the restaurant. Rarity took Spike carefully on her back.

They moved to the library. While Rarity brought Spike to bed, the others waited outside. After a short moment Rarity left, leaving a loud snoring Spike behind in his sleeping basket.

„Well then,“ she said,“time to go home. Good night girls. Good night Simon.“

„Goodnight Rarity,“ the others said simultanious. With that Rarity went back to her boutique.

The other ponies were about to say their goodbyes, when Simon realized he had a problem: He had no place to sleep. Scratching on his chin he thought about where to spend the night. Applejack seemed to notice him pondering and looked at him.

„Say Simon,“she asked,“do you have a place to sleep?“

Simon turned for her and shoke his head.

„Ah Tarnation“, she cursed.“Alreight. Anypony got an idea where he could sleep?“

„Well...,“ Fluttershy whispered,“he could sleep at my house again. Only if he is fine with that of course.“

„Hey. He already slept at your place“, Rainbow Dash exclaimed.“Time to change. How about it Simon. Wanna stay at my place?“

„And how is he supposed to get up to ya house in cloudsdale?“, Applejack asked with an raised eyebrown.

„Duh...well you know...by flying?,“ Rainbow said with a sarcastic voice.“I'm sure he can fly long enough.“

„Or he can sleep at my place,“ Pinkie Pie interupted.“I bet Mrs. and Mr. Cake would be fine with that.“

„Never, Pinkie,“ Rainbow snorted.“It's my turn.“

„Uhm...Girls?“, Fluttershy interjected, “don't quarrel. Just let him sleep at my place and it's all fine. I can't wait to get petted again.“ She said the last sentence while smiling at Simon.

Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash looked at her grimly. Fluttershy eeped and got on her knees.

Simon watched the whole discussion with interest, but now he couldn't hold back any longer. He bursted in laughter, holding his aching stomach. The ponies gave him a puzzled look.

„You...you should see yourself“, he said, still trying to fight his laughter.“You all fighting for me to sleep at your place. I feel honored though.“ He swiped his tears away.“Too bad I can't split.“

„Well then, fellaw. Ah still have enough room in ma barn and the others have a place for ya too. How about ya choose where to sleep?“ Applejack proposed.

Simon thought about it for a moment, then shrugged his shoulders.“I dunno. I would sleep at everyone's place, but I can't decide. Can't we sleep all together?,“ he joked.

Rainbow Dash grinned.“Hay yeah. Why not? We could go to Applejack's barn like the first day.“

Applejack nodded.“Sounds good to me.“

„Uhm...really?,“ Simon said in diesbelief.“I wasn't serious about...“

„Sleepover, yippie,“ Pinkie Pie called out.

Fluttershy glanced at Simon.“That sounds nice. Then he can give us all some nice petting.“

Simon couldn't help but smile. He wasn't serious about it, but they immediately agreed. Looking at the ponies he noticed them smiling at him with anticipation. His hands already started hurting and he sighted.“This will be a long night“, he thought to himself.

„My turn my turn my turn my turn my turn!“, Pinkie yelled.

„No way, I'm next!“, Rainbow Dash snorted.

„Girls. Relax. Gimme a break“.

Simon's hands were sore from all the massages he had to give to the pony girls sofar; and yet they were not satisfied. He didn't mind though. At least he was able to hang around with them again instead of causing more trouble.

They all went to applejack's barn, everyone having some sleeping stuff with them. Even Rarity joined them, when Applejack told her about their sleepover. At the moment she just eyed Simon and the others with an distrusting look.

„I still don't understand what so good about getting the hair all fizzy, “she exclaimed,“you should see yourself. Your mane's are a mess.“

„They will be anyway, when we go to sleep lateron,“ Rainbow Dash said.“You really don't know what you are missin'“.

„Ah...yeah,“ Fluttershy moaned under Simon's hands,“it's way better then the massages at the spa.“

„Simon, are you a professional massager, or how does it come everypony melts under your hooves?", Rarity asked.

„That's the point.“ He raised a hand. "I got no hooves. With my fingers its much easier to hit the right spots.“

„Ya should really try it out, Rarity,“ Applejack proposed,“You'll see for yourself.“

Rarity looked at Simon and got up with a sigh.“Fine...“She trotted over to Simon.“But promise me to be careful with my mane.“

Simon nodded. He was finished with Fluttershy anyway. She stretched and got up leaving a free spot for Rarity. Sitting down in front of Simon, Rarity looked back at him.

„Well then,“ she said with a little smile,“ lets see how good...Wa-haaa-haaa!“
Rarity nearly shot up in an instant and yelped after Simon's hand moved through her fur, kneading her neck. Her eyes got as big as plates, but slowly became smaller again, a satisfied look on her face.

„Oh...this is,“she stammered,“the very...best..thing!“

„Wow. Haha. Look at her face,“Rainbow Dash laughed,“looks like she is drooling!“

„Well...we toldcha,“ Applejack confirmed,“it feels great.“

„I had no idea,“ Rarity exclaimed, shivers running through her body.

„Is it fine this way?“, Simon asked, shortly stopping the massage.

Rarity turned her head in an instant, a greedy look on her face, startling Simon a bit.“MOAR. I WANT MOAR!“

Simon just smiled and continued the massage, educing more moans and shudders from the white unicorn. The others stared at her in disbelief.

„Wow,“ Rainbow Dash said,“that was the most unlady-like Rarity I've ever seen.“

After what seemed like several hours for Simon, they all decided to go to bed. Everyone curled up in their sleeping bags and went to sleep. Except for Simon.

When the last lights were out he out his blanket away and sneaked to the barn door, which stood half open. Like in the first night the full moon enlightened the world in a pale grey and spend enough light so Simon to see clearly.

He went outside and leaned against the barn, watching the stars above him and thinking.

Tomorrow would be the day he first went to centalot. And he was sure, that he will find out what is wrong with him. He was certain. But there was something else troubling him. He was about to accept, that his friends would abandon him, but instead they returned and wanted to befriend with him again.

„What if I find out how to get back?“ he whispered to himself.“What if my home isn't worth going back?“ He lowered his head.“I got friends here. What can I ask for more?“

He tried to remember something of his unknown past. Thinking about his current friends, a memory popped up in his mind.

He saw a bunch of boys around him, laughing at him. He had a bruise in his face, close to his eyes. There were some familar faces nearby. Were they friends? For some reason he thought so. But why didn't they do anything to help him? He raised his hand and waved eagerly, but at the same moment they turned around and left quickly, as if they hadn't seen him.

„Simon?“

Simon gasped as a nearby voice broke him our of his memorys.

„Oh...hi Rainbow Dash,“ he adressed the cyan colored pony next to him,“whats up?“

„Ah...I just can't sleep,“ she answered. She looked at him closely.“Are you crying?“

„What?,“ Simon wondered? He touched his face and noticed it was wet by his tears. He didn't even notice he was crying.

„Oh...it's nothing,“ Simon conforted her,“just remembered something I wish I wouldn't.“

Rainbow Dash sat down next to him.“Wanna talk about it?“

„No thank you. Not worth telling.“ Simon just wiped the tears away and stared at the moon. From the corner of his eyes he noticed that Rainbow Dash was still watching him.“Really. I'm fine.“ He smiled at her.

She just smiled back and looked up at the moon as well. They sat there like this for a while.

Then Rainbow Dash broke the silence:„Simon. I'm sorry.“

„What for?“

„For what happened before.“ Rainbow Dash pawed the ground with one of her hooves nervously.

„But...I already told it's fine,“ Simon said with a cornforting voice,“If it weren't for you and Spike, I might have never learned to fly“.

„That's not what I meant, Simon.“ Rainbow Dash stopped pawing at looked at him.“I mean what happened after...and what happened today at the construction yard.“

„Well...“, Simon scratched the back of his head.“It was also my fault. I shouldn't have tried to follow you, when you wanted to be alone. I overdid myself, so it's not your fault.“

Rainbow Dash stood up and walked closer to Simon.“Simon. I should have given you a chance to explain yourself, but I was too stubborn after you rejected me. I never felt like this before.“

Simon glared at her big eyes. He reached out for her and layed an arm around her neck, pulling her closer, burying his face in her mane.

„You know,“ Simon whispered,“You smell really good“.

„What...?,“ Rainbow Dash gasped. Simon couldn't see her face, but he was sure she was blushing at this moment.

„I really like you,“Simon continued,“I like everyone of you. And I finally realized that it doesn't matter who or what you are as long we understand each other.“ Simon pulled his head back and looked into Rainbow Dash's blushing face.“You are all just too cute and helpful. How couldn't I like you?“ And there is the problem.“ His face changed to a grim look and he turned away.„I like all of you. How can I love only one? You are all awesome. I cannot choose out a single one and drop the others. It doesn't feel right.“

Rainbow Dash blinked with her big eyes in confusion, then smiled. She leaned forward and placed her lips on Simon's. His eyes shot up instantly but he didn't resist. He closed his eyes and was remembered of the first time he and Rainbow Dash have kissed in the everfree forest. But this time he didn't back away from her and just let it happen. His heart started to race and he could feel her heartbeat as well. He was lost in a world of sensation and nothing else mattered for him.

After a short while (for Simon it felt like hours) they stopped kissing and looked at each other, each of them with a big blush on the face.

„What in tarnation is this supposed to mean?“, a voice suddenly called out.

Simon and Rainbow Dash turned their heads to the barn door. Applejack stood there with a grim look on her face.

„Rainbow Dash,“ she snorted,“I thought we talked about this earlier?“

Rainbow Dash pawed with her hooves on the ground.“I know sorry. I thought you were asleep.“

Applejack trotted up to them, suddenly smiling.“Ah forgive ya. But only if you give me a piece of the cake.“ She looked at Simon with and hungry look on her eyes.

Simon stared back.“Ehm...what?“

Rainbow Dash turned to Simon.“Well, you know... we talked about you earlier this day on the farm, shortly before we met in the barn. We talked about what happened between us and you. We decided, that we will accept you liking all of us. We are best friends after all.“

Simon just looked at her with a questioning face.“What do you mean by...“ He was interrupted by Applejack, placing her lips on his.

Again Simon's eyes went open in surprise.“What the hell is this supposed to mean?“ he thought to himself. Applejack seemed to notice, that Simon was unconfortable and stopped.

„But Ah thought ya like all of us“ Applejack wondered. „Didn't you just say so?“

„Simon,“ Rainbow Dash added,“we are fine with this; if you are fine with this too, of course.“

Simon just stared at the orange colored pony in front of him.“But...I thought you hated me for taking advantage of you, while you were asleep.“

Applejack blushed a bit.“Yeah...Ah was...but Ah was just surprised. Actually it felt very good. And I like you, Simon.“

Looking at each others eyes they moved closer until Simon's and Applejack's lips met again. Like the kiss with Rainbow Dash, Simon just let it happen. Again he felt the sensation in his mouth of his tongue meeting the pony's. His pulse started to race and suddenly remembered that one morning, when he woke up with Applejack in the barn. That kiss was had been awesome, but this time the farmer pony was consciousness and replied the kiss.

The second kiss ended after a short while. Simon was panting heavy, his face red from hard blushing. Applejack smiled back at him with a blush on her face as well.

„Did ya like it Simon?,“ Applejack asked.

„Of...of course!“ Simon replied. He was surprised he could speak at all. He just felt funny from the kisses he just received. He could just focus on the ponies in front of him. He suddenly felt a cold breeze, giving him a gooseskin and making him shiver a bit.

„Oh. Are you feeling cold?“ Rainbow Dash said with a mischievious smile.“Maybe we should go back inside warm up each other.“

Simon's heart started to beat harder (if that even was possible). Rainbow Dash and Applejack offered their hooves to Simon to help him get up. Simon held out his hand and was guided back into the barn to his sleeping place. To his surprise someone was already waiting there for him.

„Uhm...hi Simon,“Fluttershy whispered.

Simon turned around to the other ponies, who still hold him with their hooves. They smiled back to him. With a gentle push he landed on his bed in the straw. He looked up to see Fluttershy close next to him.

„Simon...,“she stummered,“I'm...I'm sorry for what happened earlier.“ She gulped hard, tears gathering in her eyes.“You were right. I really feel lonely sometimes. You used magic against my will, but you didn't mean harm. In fact I never slept as good as the night you sneaked into my room. Please forgive me.“

Simon slowly moved a hand to her face, carefully wiping the tears away. Then he leant forward and placed his lips on Fluttershy's.

He could feel her backing away a bit, being startled by this new feeling. But she quickly overcame her shyness and leaned forward, pushing Simon back onto the bed. While kissing, Simon wondered a bit about her behavoir. Normally she is just a shy and passive pony, but right now she was taking the lead...not that he was complaining. They enjoyed every moment of the kiss, each second feeling like an hour for Simon.

When their lips seperated Simon looked up again. Applejack laid down next him, while Rainbow Dash carefully placed herself on his stomach. They reached for Simon's blanket and pulled it over them.“Now you won't get cold“, Rainbow Dash giggled, placing her head on his chest.

Having a pony on his chest and two more to his sides, all covered under a blanket, Simon was sure she was right. He closed his eyes and felt happier then ever before.

And...cut! There is the cliffhanger. Or better clophanger? -g-
This chapter took a bit longer to finish than expected and I kept the ending a bit open for a reason: With the next update I'm not only going to add the new chapter, I'll also add a extra chapter as seperated story to fill in the missing „clophanger“. I just want to keep the main story focused on the story, while the additional chapter/story will be mature (though I'm not sure if I'm good with writing that kind of stuff). I hope you enjoyed it sofar. As always, keep commenting and voting.
