The Spike Poem Anthology II

by Zephyr Spark

Can We Start Again, Trixie?

She’s a pony we once considered a jerk,
Her magic shines through the night like fireworks
She saved us from the changeling jail
Her tricks never grow stale
She befriended my dear friend Starlight
That alone makes her a friend alright.
I can’t say that I’ve always liked you
But time and time again, you come through
When others would have turned and ran.
I guess I’m a bit of your fan.
I’m sorry that we made it hard for you to get a crowd
To watch your show. I’m sorry we made anger cloud
Your vision. I’m sorry you learned to hate us in your heart.
I know we don’t deserve it, but if you’d like, we could have a fresh start.
We could forget the wrongs we did to each other and our every offend.
We should start again. Hello, I’m Spike. Would you like to be friends?
