//------------------------------// // Cloudsdale // Story: Gem // by Pastel Candy Candies //------------------------------// A bubblegum pink filly with a poofy bright blue mane and tail, both covered in confetti, hopped around what used to be Ponyville. She could remember the old days. When she wasn't two thousand years old. She could remember the very last day she saw them. All of them, together. Mama Pinkie picked Confetti Pie up. She ruffled the bright pink filly's mane and smiled brightly at her. They we're at Canterlot with Mama Pinkie's friends and two princess and one prince. Well three if you counted Mama Pinkie's friend Princess Twilight. But to Confetti they were all her aunts. Along with Uncle Shinning and Uncle Discord. Uncle Discord and Aunt Fluttershy were married. Confetti giggled at nothing in particular. She was just as random a her mama. When they got to Auntie Celly and Auntie Lulu's castle they rushed inside. After a lot of talking that Confetti didn't really understand, she was still a baby after all, Auntie Celly sadly nodded at Mama Pinkie. In a 'Poof' Mama Pinkie and Confetti were at their home. Mama Pinkie set Confetti down and her mane deflated. "I love you Confetti, never forget that ok." Mama Pinkie told her, with her hoof on Confetti's cheek. Confetti nodded and Mama Pinkie gave her a kiss on the tip of her horn and left with a 'Poof'. Confetti had felt like she wasn't supposed to go anywhere. After the first hundred years Confetti didn't do much other than wait for her Mama to come back. After a while she learned magic from Aunt Twilight's books and how to fly on her own. She would still wait for her Mama and just sit in front of a door like a puppy waiting for it's owner. After two thousand years Confetti had enough. She needed to explore. Being holed up in her home wasn't doing anypony any good. She wanted to see what was going on in life! Sure she knew about the Order from some nice birds that visited once and awhile but still. She just had to go take a looksie. So, still bouncing, she set out to find what Equestria was doing with itself. She just hopes that her Mama doesn't come home while she's gone, then she'll be in biiiig trouble for leaving without Mama's say so. After flying up to Cloudsdale, it being the closest, she looked around. She noted all the very odd and surprised stares she got from the ponies living there. Maybe it was cause she looked different, after all it's not everyday you see an Alicorn right? Oh well, she brushed it off and kept bouncing to the biggest building she saw. It looked like a school of some sorts. Once inside whispering started. One of the stallions ran up to her. "Are those fake?" He asked pointing to her horn and wings. "Of course not." She replied. A mare flew up and glared at her. "I don't believe you!" She cried out. "Then I'll show you." Confetti said and flew up while levitating the stallion upside down. Everypony there gasped. "Th-th-they are real!" The stallion gasped. "Can you tell me where the head pony is?" Confetti asked, ignoring the stallion yet still levitating him. "D-D-Down the hall. F-first door on y-your right m-miss." A mare stuttered. Confetti dropped the stallion and trotted off towards the first door down the hall. All the ponies followed her, just gawking at her appearance. She barged in the room, her Mama always did that, and stared at the stallion before her. He had chalk white skin and a blue and red mane. "I beg you pardon?" He asked surprised, even though she hadn't said a thing. "What is this place?" Confetti asked, ignoring his unsaid question of 'Who the heck are you?'. "It's a school for flight guards." He said. 'Of course it is.' "Where's Auntie Celly and Auntie Lulu?" She asked, wishing to know where they were. "Who?" The stallion blinked at her owlishly. "Princess Celestia and Princess Luna." She stated. He blinked at her again. "The Princess Of The Sun and the Princess Of The Moon!" She yelled, frustrated. "They are not real silly filly. Alicorns are fake creatures, just a made up story. No need for you to even dress like one either you cute little thing. Now run along and stop wasting my time." He said laughing. Confetti gave him a bemused look and flew up as well as levitating him. He stared at her wide eyed and shocked with his mouth agape. Confetti Pie walked out of the school for flying guards. No pony was gonna be of any help there. But what about what that stallion had said? About Auntie Tia and Auntie Lulu being gone and that they were "fake, made up stories for foals"? They couldn't really be gone could they? Confetti sighed and ate a cupcake hole. She would need more sugar before she went anywhere. 'Wonder if they have a bakery anywhere?' Confetti looked around. It didn't even seem like one could be here. She sighed, this really was gonna be a long day. Why didn't she just stay home like a good little filly? She just missed her family and her Mama. Why did it have to be so difficult? She started flying around looking for sweets. She also started wondering where she should go looking for answers instead. Cloudsdale was no help at all. Maybe she should try Aunt Twilight's home? Maybe. Then after that try Auntie Tia and Auntie Lulu's home then last but not least try Aunt Candence and Uncle Shinny's home! But first she needs some sweets and her confetti cannon her Mama got her.
