That One Gal

by The One and the Only

"So what is your reason?"

"Hold it straight. Hold it straight damn it." T.V. Signal tried in vain to get his best friend, Upside Down, to hold the camera correctly. TV was a brown coated Pegasus. He had a tan mane and tail and whore his signature black fedora with white stripes on it and a card in the ribbon that wrapped around the crown. He had an antenna for a cutie mark and his red eyes added to the look of anger that was displayed upon his face.
"I'm trying man but it's like being so stupid." Upside Down fumbled with the device uncertain of how long this process may take. He had a grey mane and tail which matched his coat. He had on a black hoodie and eyes that were covered by a pair of black sunglasses. His cutie mark was two arrows, a blue one pointing up and a red one pointing down. His scruffy appearance differed greatly from his best, and only, friend.
"I wish they wouldn't make these things so complicated man." Upside said as his hooves were still unable to work the piece of machinery. T.V. grumbled, "Just slip your hoof in. How many times have we gone through this?"
"Too many?"
"Exactly. Now... wait." T.V. furrowed his brow and took a closer look at the device, "You idiot! It's recording already!"
Upside looked at the flashing red light on the camcorder and uttered a small 'oops' before turning it off.
"Don't turn it off now!"
"Oh. Sorry man." Upside pressed the record button for, apparently, the third time and yelled, "Action!"
T.V. simply looked at Upside Down with a blank expression, "Your looking in it the wrong way."
"Oh. Right." Finally getting the camera to the wanted position in his hoof he once again yelled, "Action!"
T.V. adjusted his hat and smiled at the camera, "Hello. I'm Tella Vision Signal, better known as T.V.. Today we are here to interview the stallions of ponyville. We have specific questions for each of them about the famous owner of Carousel Boutique, Rarity. It has come to my attention that even the married stallions get caught either looking at her or talking about her. I have decided to ask four specific stallions and a dragon: Macintosh Apple, Spike, Bulk Biceps, Soarin Nimbus, who happens to be visiting ponyville today, and Thunderlane. Let's get a move on."
Upside Down then hollered, "Cut!"
The two stallions started down the road until they came to Sweet Apple Acres. They went through the front gate and to the house that appeared to be the home. They asked for Macintosh and were giving directions to a certain part of the fields. T.V. leading the way, the two found their way through fields of almost endless apple trees to Big Mac who was currently bucking apples. T.V. introduced himself, "Hello my friend. I'm Tella Vision, call me T.V., and I want to interview you." Several seconds passed before Big Mac finally answered, "Eeyup."
"Great. Now, I'm just going to ask a few questions about Rarity. You know her right?"
"Eeyup."
"So what are your reasons for liking her?" T.V. asked with a large smile before frowning. He turned around to his 'friend', "Down! Wake up!"
Upside Down who was leaning against a nearby tree jolted from his sudden awaking and put the camera to his face, "I'm up! I'm up! Action!" Upside Down stayed this way before realizing his mistake and flipping the camera around and pressing the record button. He made sure the red light on the camera was flashing and aimed it toward the other two stallions who had simply stood in silence during this entire event.
"Ok then." ,T.V. said after everting back to his happy attitude, "Hello everypony. I'm here with Macintosh Apple, who is also known as Big Mac by his friends." he turned to the aforementioned stallion and continued his speech, "Big Mac, Would you be interested in explaining why you are attracted to the mare known as Rarity?"
"Eenope." Big Mac, after making his straight forward statement, left without another word. T.V. was still smiling and standing in the position he had been in when asking the question. After about ten minutes he finally spoke, "Wait... what?"
Upside Down looked at his friend worriedly and spoke, "Um... dude? Are you oka..."
"I can't believe he didn't answer the bucking question! Whatever! It's pieces of shit like that who cause problems in Equestria anyway! Let's go talk to Spike!" T.V. bolted another direction leaving Upside Down to stand there by himself. He frowned and muttered, "And ponies call me crazy."

"Hello Spike the dragon, or can I just call you Spike?" T.V. stood with his arm wrapped around Spike who was previously on his way to meet the Cutie Mark Crusaders to help them with their next project. He was more than happy for somepony to delay his trip.
"Uh... sure." The green and purple dragon was still questioning whether or not he should stay. It was true he didn't really want to go to the CMC clubhouse, but he didn't know who these ponies were and with the disasters that happened in ponyville he kind of kept a distance from strangers.
"Well that's great. I just want you to describe a certain pony for me."
"Who?"
"Rarity."
Spikes eyes lit up, "Well that's easy. She's generous, pretty, beautiful, stunning, smart...

One hour later

...kind, gentle, and did I say generous?..." Spike continued his talk as the two stallions finally decided to walk away slowly. Upside Down turned his head toward T.V. and said, "Well that was a waste of time. What we gonna do now man?"
T.V. looked Upside with determined look, "We go on to the next stallion. Off to Bulk Biceps! I heard he's at the gym." He took off leaving Upside in a cloud of dust.
After about fifteen minutes the reporter and camera man got to their destination they walked inside a gym named The Swollen Muscle and found Bulk Biceps doing pushups with three hooves in the air as his front left hoof pushed upward. T.V. walked up to the stallion with Upside close behind already recording.
"Hello good sir. How are you today?"
Bulk Biceps looked at the pony before responding, "I'M DOING GREAT!"
"Oh. Really?"
"YEAH!"
"Well, I've got an important question for you. Do you like a certain mare by the name of Rarity?"
"YEAH!"
T.V. smiled. He was glad somepony was actually answering his questions, "What do you like about her?"
"SHE HAS A NICE BUTT!"
"That's very interes..." T.V. looked at the stallion in front of him who had not stopped his pushups despite the questions, "Wait... What?"
"I SAID SHE HAS A NICE BUTT!"
Several minutes passed before T.V. finally said, "Ok then. Thank you for answering my questions, goodbye. Come on Upside, let's go..."
Upside Down was staring in a certain corner of the gymnasium that happened to be the area several mares were working out and stretching. Some of their exercises showed curves in their bodies that had him mesmerized. T.V. just groaned, "Come on hot stuff, we've got several other ponies to do."
"I'd love to do one of them." Upside stayed in his position for a few seconds before registering what he just said. His pupils shrank as he stood up straight, "Your right, let's go." He dashed out of the building as fast as he could.

One hour later

Upside Down waited on a bench and was eating a cherry ice-cream. He didn't much care for that type of ice-cream but what kind of pony would he be if he didn't try everything? After a few minutes of casual licking, T.V. came flying in, landing right on the bench next to the grey stallion. He was panting hard from his flight but managed to complete a sentence through pants and coughs, "I... think... Soarin... doesn't like... to.... talk... about his... feelings."
The reporter then knocked out from exhaustion. Upside Down simply continued to eat his ice-cream.

After T.V. woke from his 'nap', he and Upside Down trotted over to a certain house. It was a casual house but it seemed odd that a Pegasus would build a house on the ground. Maybe Fluttershy had started a trend of some sort. They walked up to the door and knocked. It opened to reveal a black coated stallion with a silver mane.
"Hello?" He said.
"Hello my good friend. I'm T.V. Signal and I am here to ask you a few questions."
The Stallion fidgeted a little. He seemed nervous, "Uh... Ok."
T.V. beamed with a wide smile, "Good. Now, First, I would like to bring your attention the fact that there is a mare in town who is known to be one of the most beautiful mares in town. She is know for generosity and many stallions apparently have a crush on her..."
"Oh. You mean Rarity?"
T.V. looked at the pony in front of him with wide eyes, "Uh... yes. Do you know her?"
"Of course. I've been dating her for three months now."

"I can't believe we just went all over town asking stallions what they thought about a mare who already has a coltfriend!" T.V. sat with Upside Down at Sugar Cube Corner. They both had vanilla shakes in front of them but only Upside was eating his.
"Neither can I man."
"I feel like such an idiot!"
"You sure do."
"Maybe I'll give up being a reporter."
"Not a chance."
T.V. looked over at the grey stallion. After a few seconds they both chuckled and T.V. reached for his own shake. He took a few sips and continued to speak, "Yeah. Your probably right. I don't know what I'd do if I wasn't a reporter."
Upside Down thought for a moment and spoke, "YouTuber?"
"Nope."
