The Adventures of The Dash

Present Day...

Present Day…

Rainbow Dash suddenly woke up from her dream with a very cold sweat and then heard the sound of knocking on her door, “Are you up yet?” Celestia said very politely. “Uh yeah, I just woke up,” Rainbow Dash said trying to push aside the very painful memories of the past, “Just wait for me to get dressed.”

“Well okay then, but don’t keep us waiting,” she said leaving her all alone.
She quickly got dressed and the opened her door and went downstairs to see that there was a whole entire crowd outside in the back yard.

And they were also in the front living room too, and they were all waiting for her. And there in the room was a big sign that said, ‘Welcome Back Rainbow Dash’ in a bright pink banner that furled across the whole entire room.

“Hey there sleepy head,” Celestia said smiling at her, “Nice to see that you’re finally awake… again. Anyhow
I took the liberty of inviting a few people over…”

“I wouldn’t call this a few people,” Rainbow Dash said looking around.

“Oh don’t be silly, it’s only a few if they are all your friends you know.”

“Alright, okay then, you make a very fine point,” she said very calmly.

“HEY THERE!” a bright pink girl suddenly said popping up from nowhere, “I have heard that you’re the party girl, or rather you would be if it was your birthday, but it isn’t but it’s still a party! Anyhow my name’s Pinkie Pie, and I already know your name because you’re the party girl and this is your party!”

“Um… nice to meet you,” Rainbow Dash said not sure what to say exactly.

“Yeah, I know, thanks, but are you enjoying your party?” she said with a bright cheerful smile on her face that did not want to seem to go off of her face ever.

“Yeah, I like it, but it could be about twenty percent cooler,” she said.

“Can do!” Pinkie Pie said suddenly zipping around the room and instantly added even more streamers and posters and banners and food as well.

“How did you do that?” Rainbow Dash said looking around the room with some slight surprise and shock. “How did I do what exactly?” Pinkie Pie said.

“You know what, never mind,” Rainbow Dash said leaving the strange, odd, unusual, and very mysterious girl behind to go and mingle with the crowd.

And with that said she wandered over to one of her best friends who stood by a very large fancy elegant cake that had her name on it. “Hey there Applejack,” she said, “I forgot about my birthday, but it’s so sad
that I missed it.”

“Yeah well now you can finally make up for some lost time that you missed.”

And with that said Rainbow Dash picked up the knife and took a big piece and slice of cake and put it on a paper plate, and then she slowly started to eat.

“Luckily you won’t miss out on Halloween or Thanksgiving or Christmas.”

“Yeah, lucky me,” Rainbow Dash said between bites of her very delicious cake.

“Yeah well hopefully you can get back to school and then off to college.”

“I can’t believe that I’m actually nineteen now,” she said still shocked and surprised that it had been so long ever since she was struck with lightning.

“Yeah well you better believe it because it’s really happening sister.”

“Thanks a lot Applejack,” she said, “But do you really think that there could be a chance for me to join any soccer team or get into college after my accident?”

“Sure thing, you can go anywhere you want and do anything that you like.”

“Yeah, well I think I need time to figure things out first,” she said.

“Well then we’ll give it to you, take all the time that you need.”

“Yeah, thanks, I just wish that Celestia will see it that way too,” she said finishing off the cake and then throwing her plate away in the trash can.

She decided to go over and get this whole entire matter done with.

“Celestia, can I talk to you for a moment, privately?” she said.

“Sure thing,” she said with a nod as they went upstairs, “What about?”

“Well I just want to get some stuff over with now like me going to school, well I just woke up and I need to reconnect with my life, and that means that I will have to reconnect with my friends and family so if you could give me some time to do that without pressuring me about school or a job that would be great.”

Celesta nodded and then said, “Okay, fine, I’ll give you that, take all the time that you need. But speaking
about school and a job, I think that I might just have something that could work out for you that’s in your line of experience.”

“Really? And what would that be exactly?” Rainbow Dash said.

“Well my old friend Harrison West is offering a job to work out at the police station, so if you want to you really should consider that sometime very soon.”

“I will, thanks for letting me know, but now I have something else that I want to do, I want to go meet my mom, and I think I deserve it after all this time.”

“But what about the party?” Celestia said gesturing to all the fun and games.

“Don’t worry, I’ll stay for now, but after it’s done you can’t stop me from going, so it’s your choice whether or not if you want to take me there or not.”

“Alright, fine then,” Celestia said with a slight sigh knowing that there was no way to stop her especially since she was an adult now, “Have it your way then.”

And with that said she went back to the party until nighttime eventually came and fell down upon them all, but that was when Luna and Pinkie Pie both tried to make things alive again. “Maybe we can have a day after she wakes up party, wouldn’t that be so exciting?” she asked on her way out of the house.

“Sure thing Pinkie Pie, just keep is small this time and not large and huge.”

“Can do Princess Celestia,” Pinkie Pie said smiling as she literally bounced off and away, “HEY!” Celestia said as she slowly faded out of sight into the distance, “I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NEVER TO USE THAT NICKNAME
AGAIN!”

But Pinkie Pie paid no mind to this as she idly hopped away very happily.

After every guest had left Celestia turned to Rainbow Dash, “So then, do you want me to take you there or do you just want to walk there instead?”

“I think that I’ll be fine on my own, besides, if I want to make the police academy or soccer team I’ll have to start work on running again.”

And with that said Rainbow Dash started to run off to the police station, “Alright, fine then,” Celestia said, “But make sure to be safe, okay?”

“Don’t worry, I will be!” she shouted back as she slowly ran towards it.
