"Surprise!" Twilight and the little Pegasus beside her, Night Sky were scared out of their skin even when they knew that a surprise party was gonna happen but they never would of guessed that a pink pony would pop right out of nowhere.

"Pinkie Pie, how did you do that, I know your random but still" Night Sky questioned how the pink mare, now known as Pinkie Pie was able to pop out of nowhere.

"Well silly, I was lying down on the floor, duh" Pinkie said as if it was the most obvious thing ever. The pink mare then hopped away. The two went over to the snack table and got a drink but the two didn't realise that the bottle they had just poured their drink from was hot sauce. As the liquid touched their tongue's, fire spewed out of their mouth. Spike who stayed quite for most of the time, was trying not to laugh when he figured out what they drank. The two ponies zoomed upstairs to where the bathroom was, too cool down their mouth's. 

Some time later

The party was over and everypony was at the town hall to see Princess Celestia rise the sun. But where Celestia was meant to appear something else did. An black alicorn mare, with a mane made out of the night sky, baby blue eyes the exact same shade of colour as Night Sky's but her eyes were like a cat, she was wearing cobalt metal armour.

"Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious, little sun-loving faces" The mare said as ponies began to panic.

"What did you do with our Princess?!" Rainbow shouted as she was about to charge at the mare, but Applejack stopped her by biting onto her tail.

"Whoa there, Nelly..." Applejack said with a muffled voice.

"Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am? Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years? Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?" the mare said as she looked across her eyes, she was interrupted when her eyes landed on Twilight but she didn't notice the colt standing next to her. The reason she was interrupted was because of Twilight.

"I did. And I know who you are. You're the Mare in the Moon – Nightmare Moon!" Twilight announced as ponies began to panic even more.

The mare now known as Nightmare Moon was about to stay something but then she noticed the colt next to the lavender unicorn. She stared at the colt for a moment and said a name she hadn't said for years. "Night Sky!"
