Stolen...

I sit in my room. I stare blankly at the wall of my room. I have been in this room for as long as I remember. So long that I have counted the bricks that make up the room 340'453.22 times exactly. the 0.22 is because I am counting them now. Last time I checked 4'635.5 bricks make up the room. The ceiling and floor aren't made up of bricks. They're made up of just one grey block. Even though the grey block looks like just one shade it has many different hues in it if you look closely which I have.

My stomach growls and I groan. I think I will be fed soon but the time of which I am fed changes each time. I go slowly over to my books and start to read. With each meal a new book comes but as I receive my food a book I have already read combusts into flames. At a time I only have 35 books. It is always the same.

I look up bored of reading. My eye catches on the puddle of water by my bookcase. I watch the drips of water splashing onto the floor. The droplets drop on average at a rate of 5.2 drops a minute but on dry days and wet days the number changes dramatically. Today it is reasonably arid. I go over to the water and let it drip on my head and travel down my back. It is refreshing and momentarily makes me forget my hunger.

My body blocks the dripping noise of the drops splashing onto the floor. Usually the dripping sound is the only sound I can hear. On occasions there is sometime a scream or two. I don't care. The screamer has nothing to do with me and probably deserves what is happening to them. The best sounds are the sounds of hoof steps because that means that food and is here.

My ear flicks when I hear a creak and a muffled gasp coming from above me. I tilt my head. Gentle hoof steps travel down until they are the same level as me. A scream echoes and I hear the hoof steps come to my room until they are just outside. My food! I sit up and take one regretful look at my books wondering which one will dissipate.

" I don't want to look inside Rainbow. I-I don't know what we will see." Crying began outside. I tilted my head. This didn't sound like a usual food delivery. I shrug. it might just be a test or something.

"We have to go in Twi. It is our duty to those poor-" the voice caught and the owner of the voice gulped. "poor foals."

Suddenly a purple flash took up my vision and I was thrown backwards. I got covered in the rubble of the door. What happened? I started to worry but then I mentally slapped myself. This was my room I was always safe in my room. I slowly pushed the rubble off me and tuned back into the voices.

"-doesn't seem to be much in here Twi." I wiggled and pushed a slab of grey off me.
" Rainbow it looks like there was someone living in here. But here could they have gone. They were prob-prob-probaly k-k-kil-" The voice broke and sounds of weeping hit my ears. I climbed onto the top of the rubble.

There by my bookcase was a purple thing and a blue thing. The purple thing was leaning on the blue things shoulder. They were probably the food things. Though I don't know why they would enter my room. I breathed in and pushed out my tiny voice. "Food?"

The purple thing and the blue thing whipped round and stared at me. I looked back. For awhile it was just a silent staring contest. The purple thing stopped the contest by slowly walking towards me. I looked at it hoping for food. The purple thing lowered itself down until it was at my level.

Then it spoke slowly and gently to me. "Oh you poor thing." The purple things eyes glistened with tears and I stared coldly back. If it wasn't going to give me food I didn't understand why it was here. To be honest I didn't really care. "We will get you out of here." The purple thing turned to her blue companion. "We need to get her out of here."

It was then I realised what they were trying to do. My heart fluttered with fear. I squeaked and leaped into the rubble. I dug deep to try and hide. "The poor filly is probably terrified. You being an alicorn probably doesn't help. Look I'll get her." The blue thing stopped speaking and turned towards me.

I trembled, too scared to move. The blue thing reached over and picked me up. I stayed in it's hooves petrified. But then in a bout of quick thing I leaned over and bit it. The blue thing yelped and let go of me. Unfortunately my quick thinking was over and I just backed slowly into a corner.

The blue thing turned to me with a dangerous glint. "Rainbow don't!" The blue thing kept coming towards me. My heart was beating so hard I couldn't hear anything. Then suddenly a single sound broke through the sound of my beating heart. A groan. It wasn't a groan of a living thing. It was the groan of a tired building. " Dash we need to get out of here. It's going to collapse!"

The blue things eyes filled with fear. "I'm sorry this is for your own good." It grabbed me careful to cover my mouth. It lifted into the air dragging me with it.

We left my room behind. I struggled trying to escape but the blue things grip was strong. I slipped a bit and squinted my eyes open. I almost didn't want to open my eyes. as I opened my eyes a blaring white light was flung into my eyes. It was so bright I could hardly see. Slowly my eyes got used to the light and they cleared enough for me to blearily see my room collapse. Everything I had known was gone.

My bleary eyes filled with tears. I wanted to stay in my room. I wish my room collapsed on me. But instead I was now going far away. I was heading into uncertainty. I was heading into change. Change for the better or for the worse.
