	After that day Chrysalis and I was asked to live in the castle, but not to let anyone know. We lived with them for years until one day Chrysalis said that she would go back home and see if she can get some books that she was still reading before we came back to the house in Canterlot. I tell her its fine and for that one night, I lay in bed feeling as if no pony is in the castle with me. I toss and turn all night, restless at the loneliness I felt. I get out of bed in the middle of the night and I head to the kitchen to get some water and food to help calm my nerves of being alone. I trot through the hall; my hoof steps echoing down some of the corridors. I trot into the kitchen and I come out into the dining room to see Luna is sitting by the window looking out into the vast land. Her mane lay out flowing as she hums a little; oblivious of me listing to her hum. I eventually trot over to her and ask, “Sister? Are you ok?”
She jumps at the sound of my voice, stopping her humming, and then sighs with relief, “Thank Equestria it’s just you, you scared me half to death.” I laugh a little and I use my magic to get me some more strawberries. I sit down next to Luna as she asks, “Why are you up? It is late into the night.”
I look at her, “I couldn’t sleep that well and I need something to drink and eat. I should also be asking you the same question,” I say after taking a sip of water.
She smiles, “Silly, I am almost always up every night.”
I look down at my strawberries, “Oh yea… the princess of the night thing…”
I sigh and she looks at me, “You ok?”
I shake my head back and forth, “No… I was laying in bed and I was thinking about how you control the moon, Tia controls the night, Chrysalis can control love, but I can’t control anything like you all can…”
She hugs me to comfort my thoughts and myself, “You have a purpose and I want to help you find what it is.”
I smile, “Thank you. I have actually wanted to ask you… Where you that pony who showed us around the village?”
She laughed, “I thought you would never figure that out. Yes, I was that pony. I only wanted to see who you were because you look nice and sweet.”
I blush a little as I remember what she said about my name, “You also thought my name was cute.” She blushed a little more than me and we sat in awkward silence.
Finally I spoke as she spoke and we both said at the same time, “Do you want to… Sorry… Sorry! Ah! You first. No, you first!” Luna breaks it laughing as I laugh and for the first time since my life with Chrysalis, I felt really loved by somepony else.
I spoke up, “Do you want to go out into the garden tomorrow so we can talk?”
She smiled with more of a blush, “That sounds fun brother, I would like that very much so.” I smile and sat with her all that night. We talk for a long while until I finally pass out from exhaustion. I wake up the next morning in Luna’s bed and I sit up slowly, looking around to see where I was. She comes in as I am getting out of her bed and she laughs at my bed head, “Well good morning messy mane.” I look up and I try to put it down, but with no luck. She smiles and points toward the door to my left that resides near the wardrobe, “The bathroom is through there, I will wait for you downstairs with food.” I smile and I dart toward the bathroom, I open the door, shut it, lock it, and I jump into the shower as hot water comes out onto my mane and coat. I wash up and I jump out, racing downstairs to the smell of food. I smile at the sight of good food that wasn’t made by me and I quickly sit down across from my sisters. We all began to eat and I answer every question they ask me. As soon as I am done eating Luna and I take the plates up. We take them to the kitchen where the kitchen workers take them from us to go clean them. I trot towards a door that I presume leads to the garden, with Luna leading the way.
As soon as I see the beautiful scenery I look at it all with a gleam of happiness in my eyes, “This garden is beautiful…”
Luna smiles, “It is the best place to start a good strong garden. Tia and I have worked on it for a long time. Maybe later you can add a touch of beauty to it.” 
I nod towards her saying “I have a few rose seeds that I can plant someplace when I come back out here.” 
She smiles, “Oh that is grand! Anyways, I have a question for you.”
I tilt my head, “Yes?”
Luna, “I have been wondering for a while now; when did you get Chrysalis? She is so sweet and nice that I was thinking her mom was a very nice pony.” I look at a tree and I told her the story of how I found Chrysalis in a basket and that I have been her only family she has known. 
Luna was shocked, “That must have been hard to take care of a filly all by yourself.”
I shook my head, “No, actually, to my surprise, I was really good with taking care of her. When I got her I was aw struck that Starswil would know that I would be able to care for her so well.”
Luna, “You did better than well, you did great on raising a beautiful young mare.”
I blushed as we trot through a shadowy area of the forest part of the garden, “You really think so?”
She nodded, “I know so.” With that we walked around and talked until Tia yelled for us to come to lunch.
A few days went by and during breakfast, lunch, and dinner I would always talk to both Chrysalis and Tia. We would talk about what we should do for the next couple of days. 
Chrysalis finally looked at me with a question I knew was coming one day, “Daddy? Where was I born? All I remember is that you finding me in the woods. Under the tree house that you made…” 
I sigh looking at her, “I guess the time is right Chrysie.” Tia left the room so Chrysalis and I could finally have a talk about where she came from. We also talked on how the possibility that she came from somewhere to the North of Canterlot, in the winter ridden mountain. She took all the information pretty well. She said thank you for me telling her about everything. She eventually said she didn’t care much and that she was happy I had taken care of her. She was only curious about where she came from. We both started to try and find out where exactly she came from. We searched all around until we found a kingdom shining brighter than the sun, hidden in a storm of snow. We trotted on the main pathway in out pegasus forms to where we suspected to be the castle. It’s grand size towering over the other builds and a bright light emitting from its center. Guards stop us before we get to the center of the building. The guards looked at us with protectiveness in their eyes.
I smile saying, “Is this where the castle for this kingdom is? We got lost through the storm and somehow ended up in this very bright place.”
The guard to our left looked us over, “You two trekked through that storm and still found our kingdom?”
Guard two, “This is very interesting. Yes, this is the castle, but we can’t let you in or near the heart.”
Chrysalis looks at the confused when they say heart, “What heart?”
The two guards look at each other and then move aside to reveal a crystal heart that is spinning in midair. Chrysalis looks at it and the unexpected happened. The crystal heart came of its pedestal and floated above Chrysalis. The guards are in shock of what they are seeing. The heart suddenly shines its power down on Chrysalis and reveals her true alicorn form. It then floats back to its resting place and spins once more in midair. The guard’s eyes widen and they quickly bow down to her. 
The first guard speaks up as he looks up at her, “You must hurry and follow us to the throne room. We need to see if you are who we suspect you to be.” They take Chrysalis and me to the main throne room. They lead us to through and we end up in a bedroom. 
I try and say something, but Chrysalis cuts me off, “This… this looks familiar…” She trots around the room and then picks up a teddy bear off the bed. Tears start to well up into her eyes as she holds the bear tightly. She looks at me, “T-This is my room… My home…” The guards look at each other and they nod.
Guard two bows down with the other guard and says, “Welcome home Queen Chrysalis.” She looks at them and then at me. I am aw shocked; as I look at her excitement and sadness mix together.
She looks at the guards, “Leave me be for a bit to take this all in.” The guards quickly leave.
I look at her, “Are you… ok?”
She nods looking out her window at the buildings, “I remember now… My parents and I use to live here long ago when they were the rulers of this empire…” She explained that her mother, Blooming Heart, feared for the safety of Chrysalis. Blooming sent Chrysalis away with Starswil so he could keep her safe. She was eventually sent to me. She explained that the empire was the 2nd most powerful empire in the land. That was before a neighboring land sent an assassin to kill off the crystal empires rulers. They killed all the family and the heirs to the throne, all of them except Chrysalis.
She looked at me smiling, “I want to protect this land and help keep it orderly.
I look at her in her dark green eyes to see the seriousness of what she meant and I nod, “If you think you are ready to rule an empire by yourself then I can not object.” I smile, “I know you will do great at keeping this land very well organized and orderly.” 
She hugged me tightly, “Oh thank you daddy!”
In time the crystal empire officially made Chrysalis the queen. She, Celestia, and Luna all agreed to sign the treaty that was a sign of truce between the two empires. Every time they would have an event, Chrysalis would invite us all to it so we could enjoy the customs of their land. All was well and the years went by as we all were enjoying ourselves in out own way. I spent time talking with Tia and Luna. Some days we would have time to relax and just play around in the guard and other days my sisters would be busy. The days they were busy I would spend time flying through the garden or lying in a tree to read a nice book. Every time I read I would eventually fall asleep in the tree with the book lying on my face. Luna was almost always the one to find and wake me up for dinner. Some nights Tia would bring me to my room. She would always just lay me in bed, pull the covers over me, and let me rest for the night. It was all just so fun and nice to finally be with my sister once more, but one day we were called to battle against the King of Chaos, Discord.
The day was like any normal day, Luna and I were out in the garden practicing our magic together, and suddenly a guard came up saying that Ponyville was under attack by a Draconequus. Luna wanted me to come, but Tia said that I should stay at the castle where I would be safe. I got a little mad because, like always, I had to stay in the castle alone and not get to go fight evil with my sisters. I stormed off to my room, I layed down in my bed, and I fell asleep. I awoke to a beautiful mare standing next to my bed and she stared into my eyes.
I was about to speak, but she put a hoof up and shook her head saying, “Come my King I must make you the bearer of children by order of the Ancients.” I didn’t say a word and I went with her. She brought me into a big, wide area that opened up into a field of soft grass that waved in the wind. Ahead was a grand tree that had a symbol of genders put together at the base of the tree trunk. Under it was a bowl filled with purple looking water. 
I look at the mare and she pointed at the bowl saying, “The bowl will give you Genders Gift. Your sisters have denied a bearer’s gift. One child you will have to keep the linage. Now go, go, and drink to receive the bearer’s gift.” I go over and I pick up the bowl with my magic and I drink it. After the last drop touches my tongue I wake up breathing fast. I run out of my room and I pass my sisters, before they could say anything. I explode out of the castle doors, guards falling to the ground as I fly towards Ponyville.
I crash right in front of Discord.
He jumps back surprised as I stand up from the crater and he tilts his head and grins, “Ah! A new playmate! Who migh…”
I interrupt him saying, “Discord… I search you out to say something to you…”
He appears all around me, checking to see if he knows me, “I don’t understand. Who are you to be looking for chaos?” 
He laughs loudly and then shuts up as I talk, “I need to talk with you when we meet again. I have little time now as I have been weakened. Please let them win so we can have a safe meeting. Goodbye for now my sweet grandson.” With that I disappear, only to reappear in my bed as I blackout. The next day I awoke with my sisters standing around my bed with a doctor. I look at them as they hug me tightly. 
Luna looks at me with reddish eyes that made it apparent that she was crying, “Thank Equestria your ok.”
I look at them confused, “What happened? Am I sick?”
I say that mostly toward the doctor that’s with us and he says, “No, thankfully you made a full recovery. You are very much fine now. I was called because you were found here and you were hardly breathing. I was called here with a medical team to help make sure you got back to your normal state.
I give him a concerning look, “Normal state? What all else was wrong with me?”
He sighed, “You had a high fever, looked whiter than snow, had a very low heart beat, and your immune system had stopped working.” I look at my sisters for conformation and they both nodded.
I look back at him as he said, “I have never heard of something like this nor have I seen something like this ever happening. Thankfully we got to you and healed you just in time. You were still out for a very long time so I stayed here to watch over your health. Eventually you started to regain color, your heart rate came back, your immune system started back up, and the fever went down shortly after that.  Seeing as you have woken up, I will be off. I will return in a week or two to see how you are doing.” My sisters paid him, thank him greatly, and he went on his way.
Luna looked at me, “You just darted off… You looked like you had seen a ghost.” I told them what I saw and heard from what I told Discord. 
I sighed, “It seems that I was saying he was my grandson. I think… I think Discord is a spawn of my bloodline…”
After I finished, Tia spoke up, “Bloodline? How… Wait… the story of what happened to you while you were… That thing… He used your blood to create those monsters… That means you’re the somewhat grandfather of all monsters and the father of monsters is inside of you…
There was silence until Luna spoke up, “What do you think we should do with Discord? He is your grandson…”
I sigh, “Turn him to icy stone… It’s the only safest way to stop him without hurting him…” They looked at each other then went out of the room to fetch something. They come back after a while with six colored gems and I ask, “What are those?”
Luna looked at Tia saying, “Tell him.”
Tia sighed, “These are the Elements of Harmony, each one representing an element of friendship; Generosity, Kindness, Loyalty, Honesty, Laughter, and Magic. These elements will turn Discord into stone.”
Me, “Go then… I want to speak with him as soon as he is in the castle gardens. Make sure the place you put him is beautiful… Please… I only want him to feel comfortable in his stony sta-”
Tia puts a hoof up before I can finish, “You mustn’t speak anymore… stay here and rest your eyes dear brother. You need to rest.” I nod, I turn, and I close my eyes. A couple hours go by before one of the guards comes up to my room and wakes me up to tell me the Draconequus is in the center of the garden. I get out of bed and I go out to see the now stony Discord placed up as a statue.
I get up to the base of the statue and say, “I am sorry Discord… I wish we could have talked sooner and in a better much nicer situation, but I couldn’t let you harm the land any longer…”
His statue glows a warm purple color where his heart is as he says, “Don’t worry, I shall break out in a matter of years. Who are you anyways to call me grandson? I can’t seem to access my powers through this cursed stone so I am able to open up the book of my chaotic lineage.”
I sigh, “Your somewhat grandfather… Bramble Sea…”
He makes a low laughter, “Oh please, you can’t be my grandfather! I only had two parents that were wiped out by your alicorn kind. Yes, that’s right. I saw the whole thing… The Nightmare Angel is my grandfather and he was defeated for being too weak…”
I tear up a little, “He is part of me… He used my blood to create you and a lot of other creatures and monsters…”
Discord stayed silent and then spoke, “Be here when I break free… I want to talk with you more at that time to make a plan…”
I nod and I fly back into my room where Luna was waiting for me and she smiled, “How did it go?”
Me, “It went well. I hope he gets out soon. Me and him have much to talk about.”
Luna hugged me for comfort sake only, but I can feel her worry in my words as she speaks, “Don’t worry he will be out sooner than you know it. Maybe he will learn from this experience and listen to us next time. Maybe he will listen to you if you can talk some sense into him!” With that she trotted off and headed toward her room to prepare for the night to come. I trot up the stairs, through the corridor, I open my bedroom door, and I fall into my soft, well-known bed as I fall asleep.
