good chapter, and I can already see that contract part returning to bight him in the ass. But for now I'm glad that he get's to be with his friends. It was a good setup for the next story ark, so keep at it.

I'm only about half way through.

As a reader, I would have preferred if the omissions were not species here such that it would be a feeling of concern for the unknown than dread of the inevitable. It also means the two given cases won't be a surprise when they happen. Unless it's subverted to something like contracted molestation or forced rebranding of self, or self destruction or defilement that starts off sounding like the given omissions...

Though now I have predicted those cases and anticipate they may occur. But the inevitable still feels as such.

Things will continue to go poorly (in some manner of speaking, his survival and alliances are still somewhat lucky)for him very quickly.

Keeping a running commentary as I read.

Chapter 7 - Signed in Blood

Great card.

Well that was a messed up dream. Poor Prancy not even bothered by it a bit just goes to show how much the last few days (weeks? I'm bad with time scales in fics) have been hell to him.

So with that, I was as read as I could get.

But I thought he had the Educated perk?

Syzygy blushed and stammered a little before she managed to gather her composure.

Calling it now: she banged Nameless.

After what happened in Mt. Raindier, there's no way I'd trust it.

I was about to comment about this but then Prancer said it for me.

"It's more important to teach the children in this town than to sit around pushing paperwork that will get them killed."

I like this gryphon more and more. That reminds me that I still have the next chapter of NMS to do >w>

"Like I said, I'm retired." [...] "Just a bit more so now."

Nooo, but if the teacher gryph steps down, who's going to teach the new fledglings?

"Just use that one."

No, Prancer, stop and think about-

"I don't care."

Prancer, come on!

Nowhere in there prohibited assassination, [...] Nor did it exclude the death of children.

Come on, you haven't signed yet, you can still change it!

It was too late to worry, so I would have to deal with whatever I had signed for later.

Prancer, you're a fucking idiot.

"I never needed a father anyway."

Prancer, you're an ass.

before I left the building, Beer Can sauntered in.

And just when it couldn't get any worse we get a Meeting of the Assholes.

Dr. Clipping interjected

Mental image of Doctor Clipwing clipping through the floor made me snicker.

It sounds like something a bunch of weird, colorful witches that live in a big, white tower might be using.

Jerk.

"More luck." I said with a coy grin.

Oh my god Prancer, you are being insufferable.

I trust in him!

In Catbird We Trust

I already had a Talon on Innuendo.

Having another gryphon on your hip seems like it would be incredibly heavy.

"No, I wanna go on an adventure with dragons an' smoky mountains an' rainbows!" She exclaimed.

Didn't get the chance to say it before, but Macchiato is so freaking adorable. Too bad for her that she lives in splay 0-6-sigma the FoEverse.

"Let's find your friend, then travel off to distant places! The fun's never gonna end!"

I see what you did there. Also stop making her more adorable, she's only going to die sadder.
